“Robin took great care of our dog. She sent updates throughout the day and when we picked him up, I could tell he was very relaxed and happy and enjoyed his time with her and her family. We will definitely use her again for our dog!”

“Kevin did an amazing job watching my dog, Jamie, for the first time! He sent me daily photos of Jamie enjoying walks and relaxing in the sun on the balcony, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. It was clear that Jamie was happy, comfortable, and well cared for. I know he’s in great hands with Kevin, and I’ll definitely be rebooking!”

“Stefanie was amazing - kind, patient and understanding with our anxious pup's first boarding experience ever, and a great communicator. She and her human and four legged family members welcomed our pup with open arms and helped put our mind at ease that our pup was in great hands. Would definitely recommend and we'd definitely book with her again!!”

“Rusudan provided excellent care for my boy Stax. Stax is a senior dog who requires medication and also has some mobility issues, due to his arthritis. Rusudan cared for him, as if he were her own. Tending to all of his needs. Rusudan provided me updates throughout the day helping to reassure me that he was well taken care of. Stax had an amazing time and we will be sure to rebook with them.”
“Katherine is great! She is very knowledgeable, easy to communicate and helpful! My one year old GSD was very happy at her house. Katherine sent me a lot of pictures , movies and updates about my furry baby. This is the first time we left our puppy, so I was a bit concerned how she would behave, especially because of COVID we are at home all the time. However, Katherine was able to provide calm and comfortable atmosphere for my doggie. Thank you dear Katie d so o much!”

“Taylor is phenomenal. I felt like i was there every step with my puppy. I know Chanel fell in love with her and felt safe. I appreciate Taylor for keeping me updated and keeping my little babe happy and comfortable.”

“Jessica was absolutely wonderful! She took great care of our cats, kept us updated with photos and messages, and gave us complete peace of mind while we were away. It was clear our cats were happy, comfortable, and well cared for. We would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring pet sitter!”

“Karine, Ryan and Misu are the best! If you want your dog to be treated like family while you are away and not worry at all, they are the ones to call. I am an overprotective dog mom and my little guy is super attached to us, but miraculously he warmed up to Karine right away. He ate well, played, went out for lots of walks, got along great with Misu and was so well-adjusted while we were out of the country. I could not have asked for a better experience and give Karine my highest recommendations. She also sent me a lot of wonderful photos, so I always knew what activities Chewie was up to each day. 5 stars!!!”

“Amazing caregiving to our two babies (Tiger and Georgia) by Laura and her family! We left them with Laura for about 2 weeks. We loved it! We will recommend them to anyone. -Navarun and Michael”

“Excellent. Will hire Ariel again. Pleasant and capable, she followed all care instructions to a tee for my 17 yr old dog. Responsive to all communications and kept me up to date on his well being, which I'm skitzo about because of his age.”

“Dew is a great communicator and a pleasure to work with. She clearly cares about the dogs in her care. Juno had a great time and we have already booked another overnight.”

“We are so thankful we found Elizabeth & Cole to watch our pup Ellie. Elizabeth was kind enough to pick her up from our home and drop her off before we got back from our trip! We will absolutely be using them in the future!!”

“I really appreciated the care my precious dog received. I was a last minute holiday booking. Nina was shown warmth, flexibility and compassion. This was visible through the pictures I received daily, videos and the puppy report cards. I will absolutely book again!”

About: I’ve grown up around dogs and have over 20 years of experience caring for them. Our family shares our home with Kay, our friendly 40-pound Australian Shepherd and Cocker Spaniel mix. She is playful, social, and enjoys having other dogs around. Dogs in our care become part of our daily routine! We enjoy regular walks, trips to the park, and plenty of playtime. We typically take several walks throughout the day, including a morning walk, a longer afternoon outing, and an evening walk. We live in a dog-friendly building complex with access to a dog park, and we also have a spacious unfenced patio where dogs can relax and enjoy fresh air while supervised. We understand that every dog has a different personality and routine, and we’ll do our best to make your pup feel comfortable, safe, and at home. We’d love to meet your dog and welcome them into our family! No change, I take my dog for walks 3 times per day, intend to do the same with whoever stays with us , they get fed 2 a day and will sleep in their beds . On weekends walk a longer up to an hour Always leashed and never letting off leash outside. Never had any issues with my dog safety wise, always keeping studs unsuited up high to avoid dog playing with it
About: I’ve had a dog for most of my life and have been fostering and dog-sitting ever since! I have watched all types and sizes of dogs, specifically having had a labrador retriever for 16 years, a shnorkie mix for 5, and fostered a few pitbulls over the years. I am currently at home virtually working and am happy to play with your pet and walk him or her any time! I am around all the time and would love to keep your pet company. I live in a neighborhood with lots of grass and walking space and can’t wait to make them feel at home and safe with me!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CT ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
