“So pleased with our experience! This was our first time leaving our new puppy. Anner did a great job caring for her. He was responsive with communication and pics. Will definitely use him again.”

“Asti had a great stay with Andrea. She even made some new fur friends! Andrea was also extremely accommodating when my flight home was delayed and I had to extend Asti’s stay for an additional night.”
“Carrigan is a lovely young woman with a dog whisperer touch. Puppy Sammy immediately sat at her feet as we were preparing to leave her driveway for an overnight trip — his first stay outside of our home/with a non family member EVER. I was worried that he may not take well to the situation, but he adjusted quickly, and Carrigan took him on several long walks which exercised him and tired him out. I recommend Carrigan highly!”

“Melissa is a thoughtful and caring dog-sitter. She told me she loves dogs and it show in all her actions when she dog sat my labradoodle. She read him very well and met his emotional needs.”

“We’re so thank to have found Nandita! She’s very professional, her home and backyard are a perfect set up for dogs, and she’s a very sweet person!! We appreciated the pictures and videos she sent while we were away and she truly pampered our pup during his stay. Highly recommend!!”

“John is incredible with our Siberian husky! Every time we pick him up from John he’s calm and happy demonstrating to us how comfortable he is with John. John’s reliability, responsiveness, consistent updates and overall level of care are unmatched - truly lucky to have him watching over our pup!”

“Irene was so sweet with our Oliver! She was very communicative and accommodating with our 4 month old pup! Thank you again for your help this week and we look forward to booking with you in the future!!”

“Arly was a wonderful sitter for our anxious small dog. She kept us posted throughout her stay which really eased our minds while we were away. It was clear our dog was having a great time with lots of toys. She even clipped our dog’s nails for us. Would definitely recommend Arly as a sitter for your pet!”

“Manolo had a great time at Elaine’s. Both Elaine and her puppies were very welcoming and he felt at home from the start. I would recommend Elaine’s doggie daycare to friends and family. Elaine can also groom your pup, which is very convenient. Thanks Elaine, see you soon!”
“Our usual Rover was unavailable and we needed a last minute dog sitter for the day. Monika was available and we’re so happy we met her! She was super responsive, happy to do a meet and greet before we confirmed the booking, and sent us lots of photos of our dog (who doesn’t really like other dogs by the way) playing with her dog Lexi and son! She always let us know how Nate was doing and was good about asking questions for when to feed him, his bathroom schedule, etc. She has a semi fenced in yard and lives on a quiet street convenient to Route 15 if you’re driving that way. Would be happy to have her watch our dog again in the future!”

“Clinton and his son Lincoln were fantastic. Lots of pictures and videos along with walks and play sessions. Our pup might have had more fun on vacation than we did. Highly recommend!”

“Kevin and Ana took wonderful care of our dog over the holidays! This was the longest we have left our pup, and we knew he was in great hands. They sent daily updates and were flexible with our changing plans. Will definitely board with them again!”

“So happy with the care and attention that Farva provided, particularly since my older lab has mobility issues. We enjoyed the daily pics and videos. Highly recommended.”

“Elvia is the best! Our dachshund loves her and so do we. Super reliable and takes such good care of our pup. We’ve used Elvia for both daytime and overnights and would highly recommend!”

“Very nice gentleman. He had a lovely small fenced in front yard, perfect for my small, elderly dog. He sent pictures daily and took good care of her.”

“Lily took great care of our senior dog Norman! She and her family kept in great contact with us, and met our little guy at his energy level - providing cuddles, soft beds, and calm outdoor time, but also willing to take him out for more adventures when he was up for it. They made sure he integrated well with their sweet dog. We'd absolutely her to watch him again!”

“Wonderful with our little old girl . Took great care of her and sent adorable pics letting us know how she was doing during her stay. Responds quickly to texts which is a plus ! Highly recommend and will definitely use again for our puppers !”

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CT ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
