About: Howdy, I'm Tori! I'm a calm and patient sitter who specializes in earning the trust of shy or anxious pets. The dog, who is now a daily regular of mine, that started my interest in providing services for more pets, started out terrified of me; she was so unsure, she wouldn't even come back inside the house for me from the backyard. I learned quickly not to push or rush her, just give her space, consistency, and a calm presence. Now she runs to greet me, wiggling and whacking everything with that happy tail like we are the bestest of friends (Anxiety meds did help but now she doesnt even need em). Most of my personal pet experience comes from having kitties, so I'm very comfortable with sensitive, independent, or slow to warm up personalities. I live in an apartment, so I am only available for drop in visits. I like to focus on keeping routines steady, creating a quiet environment, and communicating clearly with owners so you always know how your pet is doing. I love all animals, even scalies, and work hard to ensure each one feels safe, respected, and cared for. I work in education, so I have school holidays off. I'm off at 3:30, check in with my regular at 4 and am done with her by 4:15 so I am free on weekdays after that. On weekends I am completely open. I like to meet with you if I can the first time to see exactly how you'd like things done. I enjoy sending status photos and am always near my phone if there are any last minute details you need to get to me.

“For starters, I loved meeting Ida prior to our sitter dates. We had so much fun talking about our pets and their histories. We live within walking distance from each other and also shared some stories about the neighborhood. Meeting her in person made me feel very good about leaving for three days while she came to feed our cats. And while we were gone, she sent a message every day when she arrived along with pictures and a report about what the kitties were up to. She even took photos and videos! Ida also did a couple of non-pet related chores like bring in our mail and check our pond for water level. I did not worry one bit about the cats while we were gone thanks to her! I would recommend anyone to hire Ida to look after their pets. For your dogs too! She is a lover of both cats and dogs and personally has both as pets. About: From since I can remember as a kid I have been taking care of the family pets. Whether it was horses, goats, chickens, dogs or cats I learned from an early age the proper way to safely care for animals of all kinds. I’ve always had a dog by my side my entire life so I am very keen to animals and what they need as far as comfort goes. All animals I interact seem to be very calm and comfortable with me as I try and provide that atmosphere for them to feel safe. I currently have two dogs myself so the pet care never ends with me and I love it that way. I currently have a very open schedule and can be available any day of the week with the proper notice. I am self-employed at the moment which allows me to be available anytime of day as well, as needed. I am very adaptable to what your pet needs as far as safety and trust goes. I have two dogs myself and I know animals in general need to feel comfortable in order for the relationship to work and I strive to accomplish that immediately. Your comfort level with me and your pet’s comfort level is my utmost priority and I will work with you to make sure you are happy in that regard.
