About: Howdy, I'm Tori! I'm a calm and patient sitter who specializes in earning the trust of shy or anxious pets. The dog, who is now a daily regular of mine, that started my interest in providing services for more pets, started out terrified of me; she was so unsure, she wouldn't even come back inside the house for me from the backyard. I learned quickly not to push or rush her, just give her space, consistency, and a calm presence. Now she runs to greet me, wiggling and whacking everything with that happy tail like we are the bestest of friends (Anxiety meds did help but now she doesnt even need em). Most of my personal pet experience comes from having kitties, so I'm very comfortable with sensitive, independent, or slow to warm up personalities. I live in an apartment, so I am only available for drop in visits. I like to focus on keeping routines steady, creating a quiet environment, and communicating clearly with owners so you always know how your pet is doing. I love all animals, even scalies, and work hard to ensure each one feels safe, respected, and cared for. I work in education, so I have school holidays off. I can house sit so long as it is understood I will need to commute to and from your home between the hours of 6:30 AM - 4:30 PM on weekdays. On weekends I am completely open. I like to meet with you if I can the first time to see exactly how you'd like things done. I work from home three days out of the week, and go into the office on Wed & Thurs. from 8a-5p. I do drive home during my lunch hour to take the doggies on a potty break. On weekdays, I currently work a hybrid schedule, which allows me to spend a lot of time at home. On Mondays and Fridays, I go into the office for a bit in the mornings, but I work from home or visit clients in the afternoons. Rest assured, your pup will NEVER feel alone. On weekends, we enjoy a lot of downtime at home, taking long walks around the complex and soaking in beautiful sunsets with the crew (all the pups). I care for dogs in a comfortable two-story home with a yard, where they can walk around and play freely, feeling as if they’re right at home. I’m happy to follow any specific instructions you have, whether it’s crate training, playing with favorite toys, or sticking to a feeding schedule. Our dog Blue, being a rescue dog, has real anxiety about being left behind and we have tried a kennel in the past with a very negative outcome for her. Jenny made Blue's staying home alone very pleasant for her. Blue was walked and feed on times we had agreed on with Jenny. About: I have my own pup for 9 years and we are still going strong. He is my best friend and I like to believe I am his too even when I’m hogging his personal space. I have dog/cat sat for a couple of my friends’ dogs from puppy/kitty years to grown adults! I have a full time job and I know how it feels to have that guilt of being away from them due to work.
