About: Hello! I’m Mae and I’m a huge dog lover! I’ve been caring for dogs my entire life and would love the opportunity to give my loving attention to your furry friend. My personal pack is made up myself and my two pups, Winston and Howie. They love when pups come to stay with us, but generally don’t pay much attention to our guests. Over the years, I have volunteered with multiple animal rescue groups, fostered dogs, and have pet sat for friends and family members. Prior to this, I was a dog walker for Austin Animal Center, which was incredibly rewarding. Through these experiences, I have grown to love all breeds, sizes, and personalities of dogs. I feel comfortable caring for everyone - from elderly to special needs to high energy dogs. When I’m not pet sitting or working, I am out and about with my own dogs. We explore dog parks, walk around the neighborhood, and cuddle! I live in the Spring Branch/Memorial neighborhood in Houston. My home is warm and welcoming and your dog will easily feel right at home. My home does have a doggy door and if you’re comfortable, your pup is welcome to use it throughout the day. The yard outside is fenced in and is great for playing, running, and sunbathing. If you aren’t comfortable with the doggy door, I can easily block it off so that your pet is secure. I understand how difficult it is to be away from your dog so I know owners and their pets will appreciate the care and attention I give to their furry friends! I can’t wait to meet you and your pup! Dogsitting is what I’m doing full time right now, so I will be home nearly 24/7. Dogsitting is my career, my position recently dissolved and I decided to pursue my passions! I’m currently working in dog training certifications and eventually grooming as well. I have a fenced yard and also will be outside with dogs at all times they are out there. We will go in daily walks or more if requested.

About: I have lifelong experience and a genuine love for animals. I grew up with both dogs and cats and would assist in caring for my neighbor's animals when they were out of town. I have also had several roommates with both types of animals as well so I know how to handle pets of all ages. Since I have a cat, a dog that is cat-friendly is a must for me when boarding in my own home! I am open to any dynamic when providing pet care outside of my home. Working remotely allows me to be almost always home, ensuring your pets get the attention they deserve. During COVID, I spent weeks caring for various animals in client's homes and ranches, gaining hands-on experience with dogs, cats, and various other animals like guinea pigs, rabbits, sugar gliders, birds, etc. I am very interested in knowing about the habits you keep when caring for your animals and any fun or quirky behaviors they may have. Communication is key, and I want to know it all to make both you and your animal feel safe and at ease. Whether it is for a check-in, a nice walk, or boarding. My background in pet sitting, combined with my current lifestyle, makes me a reliable and dedicated caregiver for your furry friends. I work remotely during regular business hours. This means that I do need to be home with a private internet connection whilst working. However, I do have much more flexibility with being able to go for walks, check-ins, or basic presence and care. In my home: I have a first floor apartment with a very large L-shaped privacy screened concrete patio. There is a drain in my patio and turf grass. I do not have any toxic plants to cats or dogs within my home area. I also do not own a dog crate. I am a cat friendly home and am open to other cats and having another litter box for them. Please make me aware of any medical issues your animal has and whether they would need to be kept separated for the safety of my own animal. I do have cameras in my main living space. In my client's home: I follow your rules in your home. I would never bring another animal or human into it and I respect your privacy and the safety of your animal(s) and belongings. I do ask for clear instructions and communication and am happy to provide the same in return. Whether that's photos or texts to see how your fur baby is doing or quick and reasonable last minute requests.
