About: Hi, my name is Marissa. I’m from Northern California. My schedule doesn’t allow me to fully take care of a pet, so I decided it’s time to take care of others’ pets. I’ve grown up with Labrador Retrievers. I’ve mostly been trusted to take care of medium to larger sized dogs, as I’ve experienced them more. This is the first time in my life where I’m not taking care of a pet. It’s very different. I constantly ask my parents to send me pics of our dogs. I miss them! About: We have had dogs our entire life, we love them. We recently lost our German Shepherd of 14 years and are looking to get some fur baby energy in our lives. We know how hard it can be to find reliable people you can trust to watch your baby. We have boarded numerous dogs in our home in the past and are looking to give your animals love and attention while you are away. We are experienced with all types of dogs. Big, small, young and old. Our house does not have any stairs which is great for older pups! We also live right across the street from many great trails. Dogs rule the house at our house. We often find ourselves sitting on the floor while the dogs are on the couch. We always joked our German Shepherd was more spoiled than our children. The only downside is your dog may not want to come home! I work from home and my husband owns his own business. We have two little kids (10 & 5) that are also great with animals. We have lots of flexibility. I hike, walk or exercise everyday. We have a small, fenced yard and a dog door, which can also be locked if needed. We live around the corner from a park and across the street from numerous trails. Animals can roam free or be crated in while at our house.

She misses them when she is away and would surely dote on any dog in her care. Back in Maine she regularly enjoys playing with the dogs in the backyard, taking them on walks in the nearby woods and walking them both in the village and on the trails at the family ski condo. She has both a senior golden retriever who loves everyone and would have you rub her belly until one of you falls asleep and who has arthritis and needs meds, supplements and someone to say when ‘ the walk is over’ and a Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever. The Duck Toller is a loveable piece of work! He is skiddish, playful, demanding, a hoot and a joy to be around. Maybe a little less so when she is cleaning up after his occasional accident when he got a little too excited. Before that was a chocolate lab who was a loveable old soul. Then there are all the dogs of family and friends who she has loved and helped over the years. She is a natural with dogs, they all love her. Her life would be missing something without a dog to walk, play and cuddle with.”
