“We couldn't have asked for a better sitter than Jessie. She did an incredible job with our cat, Willow, during her drop-in visits. Willow was so excited to see her each day when she came through that door. You know an animal person when the first thing they do is sit on the floor to interact with your pet. The communication was excellent, and we loved seeing the photo updates. Jessie also gave us quick little trip recaps that really gave us peace of mind while we were away. Again, couldn’t be happier with her service. Thanks Jessie!”

“Marissa was great with our cat! It made such a difference not having to worry about how he was doing while we were gone, we could relax and enjoy ourselves! Every photo she sent we could tell he was happy, and he loved her right away when they met. Thanks Marissa!”

About: I’ve given love to animals for as long as I can remember. From dog sitting overnight, to helping raise my sister’s kitten, to taking care of stray dogs in Sri Lanka, to loving on kittens in Vietnam, to volunteering at a horse rescue, I am passionate about animals everywhere I go :) I work full time in Aspen but if you are local I can take breaks during the day to take them out on walks or hangout for a bit. I can help train if needed, or help with walks, feeding, along with plenty of playtime! I’m very active so open to hikes and running as well.

About: Lifelong dog lover and experienced pet sitter ready to spoil your pup! After wrapping up my formal career, I am excitingly turning my focus to my favorite passion—spending time with dogs. Because my schedule is now wide open, your furry family member will get my undivided attention, love, and care. Let me be your pet's next best friend! I recently left a 28 year career which allows me the flexibility to spend time with your pup. I do like to ride my bike in the early morning, but otherwise free. I can only pet sit at clients home. Interview and requirements regarding your home is requested. Upmost care and respect for privacy is a standard you can expect from me.
“Valerie was amazing! She went above and beyond to make sure my old sweet dog was taken care of. She even went to 2 locations because there was an error in my updated address that I had provided. She took the initiative to reach out to me and go to the corrected address and take great care her. So grateful for Valerie.”

About: I have over six years of hands-on experience caring for dogs through volunteering, fostering, and private dog sitting. I’ve worked with puppies, adult dogs, and seniors — providing walks, feeding, medication, playtime, and lots of love. I’ve also volunteered with All Aboard Animal Rescue, where I gained experience handling dogs of all sizes and temperaments. I always make sure every pup feels safe, happy, and loved while their owner is away, keeping their routine consistent and their tails wagging. Pet care fits smoothly into my daily routine! I have classes at 8 a.m. and 1 p.m., which still leaves me plenty of time throughout the day for walks, feeding, and playtime. I love spending my mornings and afternoons with dogs, and I make sure each pet gets consistent attention, exercise, and affection. Whether it’s early walks before class or extra snuggles in the evening, I always make time for quality care. Safety and comfort are my biggest priorities when caring for dogs. In my home, I create a calm, clean space with room to play and rest. When I’m caring for dogs in a client’s home, I follow all instructions carefully to keep routines consistent and pets feeling secure. I pay close attention to feeding times, leash safety, and environment setup to ensure every pup stays happy, safe, and comfortable while their owners are away.
About: Growing up with two dogs and a cat, I have life-long experience caring for pets. I am great with detail when it comes to pet care and I love keeping pets happy and active while their parents are away! I am available every afternoon after around 5pm, and I am available all day Fridays-Sundays. I work Mondays-Thursdays, although this varies and I am usually available for walks and check-ins every day after 5pm. I am usually available all day Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays for dog sitting, walking, and boarding. My house has a fenced in yard in the front. I also live right next to a lovely greenway to take the dogs out for longer walks. I also have a bed and bowls for food and water.
“Destiny was able to check on my cat during a super last-minute trip. She was very responsive, reliable, and kept me updated throughout my time away. I would definitely book with her again!”

About: I have had dogs my entire life, also have done dog sitting for neighbors growing up. For a while, I was the manager of a dog daycare/boarding/grooming/retail store servicing any where from 10-50 dogs per day. I’m happy to assist with puppy training, or just hanging out with your senior pup! I have 3 days per week with open availability, and available for overnights in the surrounding area. Let’s discuss how I can help get your pup the care you deserve! I treat all pets as they were my own. I am an animal lover through and through, they all deserve the best, most loving care.
About: Hello fellow animal lovers! My name is Melissa and I have a history of taking care of dogs, cats, horses and other animals. I’ve voluneered at dog shelters muiltple times. I grew up with dogs and rabbits. I have a dog named Ulysses. He is a German shorthair pointer. Your animal will have my full attention and affection. Feel free to ask me any questions you may have. Hope I can help ! I work at a restaurant in Aspen 3-4 days a week. Usually only a 6-hour shift. Tuesday’s, Wednesdays, and Thursday nights are my fixed schedule but may change. My boyfriend Scott works during the day so he's at home at night while I'm at work. So, there will always be me or Scott at home with your dog and ours. I live in a 2br 2bath apartment with a small patio. The dog parks close by as well as lots of places to walk around town. I take my own dog Ulysses to Crown mtn park, Basalt mtn, or up by Sopris at least once a day. The Rio Grande trail is right by my place as well.
About: Hi! My name is Hannah and I’m looking to get back into dog sitting/walking on the weekends. I grew up with dogs my entire life and have always loved animals. I have dog sat for neighbors and friends for years. I currently have a 7 year old Pyrenees/lab mix and he lives the best dog life. I’m strictly a weekend doggie caretaker as I work full time during the week. If you need a dog sitter while away for the weekend, I can help! I’m very patient and attentive to the dogs I will take care of. They will be in great care at my apartment and there’s plenty of (unfenced) property I live in but happy to bring them outside with a leash too. I am happy to watch your dog in your home as well!
About: Friends say I’m thoughtful, responsible, and passionate and I’ve taken my compassionate nature to caring for “dog babies.” I relocated to the valley in November and am eager to make more furry friends here! I had several repeat overnight and walking clients while living in Chicago. Trusted Pet and House Sitting also granted me the opportunity to pet sit a lovely lab and retriever for 2 weeks in Durango, CO last fall. We had a blast hiking amongst the colorful leaves. I’m an energetic go-getter with a heart that craves new experiences, staying active, and intimate connections. If I’m not soaking up community events or doing something fun outside, you can find me painting and crafting at home. I have a flexible schedule working various shifts in the bar/restaurant industry. I can accommodate weekday and weekend needs and keep pups exercised and loved. Pups are allowed to roam the home and socialize and play with my own pup, a 6 year old terrier/shepherd rescue. I typically bring Bob with me for house visits and walks so your pup should be friendly with other dogs. We love to hike, visit the river and play with squeak toys in the house. If your pup is anything like Bob, they’ll move from place to place with short naps, and follow me everywhere.

About: My name is Brianna and I am excited to walk your dog! I have never owned my own dog or cat, but I have taken any chance to be around them. I have always been comfortable and happy around animals. I have house sat and dog walked for friends, family, and neighbors since I was 13 years old. I have references based upon request. I would love to be involved with your pets life! I would give all the love I could to your pet. It will give me the opportunity to make a little money while doing what I love. Feel free to contact me and set up a meeting if you would like. Thank you so much! I am currently flexible and available most days. I would love to walk your dog or come to your house to check on your pet as well. I will make sure they are getting all of the care and love they need. I love being active and playing/hanging out with pets. I would make sure all of their needs get met.
About: I am currently living in Glenwood Springs, CO living for the outdoor adventures! I love getting to bring Leo on outdoor adventures with me and would treat your fur baby like my own with lots of love and fun adventures. I decided to get into dog sitting because I’m looking for some side work and what better way to spend my time then with more sweet furry friends! In my personal experience, I have had a wide range of different kinds of pets, such as chickens, lizards, hamsters, cats, and dogs. In my professional life with animal handling, I had the most incredible experience in the past in Colorado to be a part-time dog handler for sled dogs. I have also done a good amount of dog sitting for friends in the past. I can't wait to help out and make some new furry friends and maybe go on an outdoor adventure too! I do work full time but have flexibility in my daily schedule and have weekends open. Just as I treat my dog, I always prioritize a good healthy route and would do the same for your pet. I have a regular route with my dog and would treat and care for anyone else’s pets the same! I understand the importance of a safe and loving experience for your pets as I look for the same for my dog when I’m away. I have a lot of country land I live at with a grassy backyard.
About: I’ve lived with animals since I was 12 years old and continue to watch my friends and family’s animals! Now I’m offering my service to a wider audience to meet more furry friends 🤗 In the mornings, afternoons and evenings I’m around animals and providing for their needs! It’s apart of my everyday and would like to help others! I’m attentive, loving, and kind hearted with animals and very understanding how they can be stressed while their owners are away, I’m always trying to help!
About: Hello! I have had dogs and cats my entire life, and have one dog of my own that would love to be friends with your fur baby! I have 20+ years of experience, and am extremely active. I listen well to instructions and will ensure your dog has the best walk, time or visit I can provide! I have had dogs ranging from large Bernese mountain dogs like my own to a small maltepoo (my parents dog) who has an extremely sensitive stomach and requires extra attention. I also volunteered at the SPCA in San Francisco for 3 years and the Dumb Friends League in Denver for 4 years which gave me exposure to handling dogs from all walks of life - some of them easy and mellow, others extremely shy and required gentle handling and patience, while others were aggressive and required someone who understands how to calm and work with an aggressive dog. I look forward to working with you and your dog! I’m currently home most of the time outside of running or babysitting (and i will let you know if i have a shift that overlaps w your dog’s care). I can offer house sitting if my dog, Aspen, can come with me. I also offer boarding one dog at a time (or 2 if they are both yours) from my townhome in Basalt willits. I take the dogs out every 2-4 hours and Aspen (outside of when we’re sleeping) and I go on a walk every morning. I will do the same for your pup! I ALWAYS keep my eye on the pups and have 1 other very friendly and lovable Bernese mountain dog who can’t wait to welcome your pet!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
