“Amy gave so much love and care to our dogs. I especially appreciated how thoughtful she was in learning about our dogs. She took notes during our welcome visit and ask a lot of questions. I felt reassured with her attention to details. Looking forward to using her for all our pet needs in the future.”

About: I have been a long time animal owner including dogs and cats from all ages. I have experience with taking care of senior and disabled animals. I’m an all around animal person who also has experience with caring for exotic reptiles, amphibians, birds and aquatic animals. I am able cook for your companion(s) if they have a special diet and I am an attentive person when it comes to animals who need special attention or care. I have had dogs of all sizes and age throughout my life and also currently have dogs and cats of my own. I take dogs out to exercise twice a day and have a spacious home with animal friends for your companion’s stay. Please let me know if you are interested! Pet care is my top priority and only focus. I’m not balancing this with other jobs. Caring for animals is what I love and what I do full-time. Whether it’s daily walks, overnight stays, or drop-in visits, I plan my entire schedule around your pet’s needs to ensure they get consistent, attentive, and loving care every time. Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or in a client’s home, I treat every animal like family. I prioritize their comfort, safety, and routine. Whether that means sticking to their specific feeding schedule, giving them space to relax, or offering lots of playtime and snuggles. I maintain a calm, clean environment, pay close attention to behavior or mood changes, and communicate regularly with pet parents to ensure peace of mind. I’m happy to accommodate special needs, medications, or quirks. Whatever helps your pet feel happiest and most at home.

About: I am based in Carbondale, CO. I am currently pet/house sitting full time throughout the summer and fall so I'm able to provide a high level of care for pets and homes throughout the valley! UPCOMING HOLIDAY AVAILABILITY: Inquire about Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years. I have limited availability for the right fit. I will be part-time ski instructing at Snowmass this winter so I still have a high level of availability throughout Dec-Apr as well. I've cared for my own dogs, roommates' dogs, friends' pets, Trusted Housesitter stays, and Rover sits over the past 10 years. I've cared for dogs from puppyhood to 13 years old. I've also cat-sat for friends, Trusted Housesitters, and Rover clients over the years. I'm more than happy to take them on walks, hikes, to dog parks, and out for potty/play breaks throughout the day. The longest I've watched someone's pet was for 2 months, and I loved it! I'm also happy to take them camping if that's their jam. Feel free to reach out with any other questions! A note on transportation - I have a truck camper (converted from a former ambulance) as my main vehicle. If there is any concern of me parking it on your property for house sitting or other services, let me know and I can park it elsewhere. It is reliable, 4WD and does super well on winter roads, so if you're up a dirt road, I have no concerns about being able to get there. If you have any questions about it, don't hesitate to ask! I currently am full time pet sitting for the summer and fall. I am very attentive and love morning, midday, and evening outings for fetch, dog park hangs, hikes, and walks. I can be available throughout the day full-time. After December, I will be part-time ski instructing for Snowmass. I am still available for all the same services but will need to be gone for a longer portion of the day if I'm working that day. I don't anticipate that it would be longer than 6-8hrs depending on how far away the sit is. A note on boarding - this is if you need overnight care for your pet or pets at MY home. House sitting is overnight care at your home or accomodations, sometimes I know that gets a little confusing. I much prefer house sitting in your home as I find that pets are much more happy in their own familiar environment with the all their comforts that they're accustomed to. If you need boarding outside of your home I can discuss a couple of options with you depending on the temperment of your pet and the length of the request. I will always be up front and transparent if I'm able to accommodate the request. I am very respectful and clean when staying at a client's house. I treat it like my own (if not better). I love going for walks with your pup and keeping them on a leash unless otherwise instructed. I also don't give in to the cute puppy eyes when I'm eating my food and keep them to their parents' approved food and treats. I always make sure we are on the same page about your needs and expectations and that I am 100% available and able to commit. Because of this, I have never cancelled on a client after a booking is confirmed.

About: I have watched many dogs and house sat for various people as I have been a member on rover for over 8 years. I am very flexible and if you need last minute care for your pets I can help. No matter what size I can help care for your pets. I enjoy playing, caring, and taking care of animals. If you need someone you can trust to be caring towards your pet and your home just contact me. We can then work out a time I can care for your pet! I am currently a part time worker and have lots of availability! I am also an active person who fills my time with outdoor activities so if you have an active pet I can definitely take them along with me. :) I make sure the dog is let out at reasonable times. But primarily I want to ensure the pets are comfortable and entertained under my care.

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of November 2026, there are 346 sitters on Rover offering Pet Sitting across Norrie. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.

Before booking, confirm:

  • the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
  • the care instructions the sitter should follow;
  • which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
  • how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.

Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Norrie. On Rover:

  • 89% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 91% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 95% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.

Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.

During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.

sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.

Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
