“Every pet parent understands the anxiety and unknowns that come along with hiring a new sitter for the first time. In our first conversations, Johnathan was very easy to talk to and work with. I already had a good feeling before he came to the house for a meet-and-greet with the pets, but when he arrived and everyone took to him very quickly in the first couple minutes, we knew we had a winner and my stress about leaving town was immediately put at ease. The kids obviously approved, but I was very impressed by his calm, down-to-earth demeanor, can-do attitude, and diligent attention to detail. I blasted him with a lot of info, instructions, details, things to look out for, etc, and he absorbed it all. I did type up detailed instructions for him to reference while we were gone and he followed them to the letter. Not only was he pet sitting, but he stayed and house sat here at our home for 4 days with the kids. I had no concerns or reservations about him before leaving, and that was only reinforced in spaids when we returned home and the household was fully intact, pristine, well-cared for, and the pets were all obviously very much at ease, content, and happy. He even made the bed back as it was, and left no trace behind him anywhere. While we were away, he sent frequent updates and photos daily, which were very appreciated. He was responsive, communicative, easy to work with, very pleasant and respectful, and obviously he took exceptionally great care of our big dog and 2 kitties. He is very sweet and doting with them, and they clearly adore him in return. If you can't tell already, I am very fortunate and appreciative of finding Johnathan to pet/house sit for us. I have full faith in his commitment to and ability to uphold the highest of standards of pet care, and I can't recommend him highly enough to other pet parents. Obviously, I will be hiring Johnathan again repeatedly, and I'm sure the pets will be very excited to see him again when he does. 12 out of 10. Would hire again. Thanks, Johnathan!”

About: I have had cats and dogs my entire life, specifically dachshunds. I currently am running a retirement home for three senior ladies, all over 15. I also have experience in administering pet medication, including injections. My background is primarily in human medicine, which has some carryover into animal care as well. I am currently not working, which means I have a very open schedule for taking care of animals! I also don't have children, and my animals are elderly and will probably not be interacting with yours. As far as my hobbies go, I am an active person and love strength training - which means a firm hold on the leash and energy for long walks! About: Hi There! I've had all kinds of pets for my entire life. From rambunctious sheepdogs and sensitive chihuahuas, to gentle senior cats and curious kittens. I currently share my home with Stella, an 11 year old chihuahua/terrier mix, Raymond, a 15 year old domestic short hair cat, and Oscar, a nine-month old domestic short hair kitten, so I understand the unique needs of both senior pets and energetic youngsters! Whether it’s administering medications, offering extra patience for older pets, or keeping playful pups and curious kittens engaged and enriched, I bring attentiveness, compassion, and a calm, reassuring presence to every pet I care for. I’d love to give your pet the same level of love and care I give my own! I am currently available at all times during the week to attend to your pets. My flexible schedule allows me to take the time your pets need to eat, play and have genuine interactions with humans. I always ensure that collars with identifying tags are on before walks, and will never leave an animal out of my sight while caring for them. For households with cats, I am extremely cautious opening doors to the outside so as not to have an escapee on our hands. My number one priority is the safety of your pets, and that requires vigilance and focus.

About: I've taken care of dogs and cats my whole life, but fell in love with our adorable shelter mutt. Taking care of him, as he aged, was a full time job. He brought more love into our lives than I could have ever asked for. I learned to train him as a puppy, grow with him as he aged, and then care for him in his late stage of life. I am a dedicated pet caretaker and walker! There is plenty of time in my week to provide tons of care and love for your pet. Safety and security is paramount when caring for a pet. First, I always check the perimeter to make sure that the area of the home is safe, free of plants that may harm a pet, and free of areas where there might be security risks (fences broken). Ensuring that a pet is safe is my primary concern. Then ensuring that the pet feels safe with me, and gets to know me is crucial so that I can build a rapport with the pet. Their safety and security with me as their caretaker is very important!
