In fact, she trained Darla to paw at bells when she needs to go outside (it worked!). Most importantly, she makes Darla's time w/her a positive one by taking her on walks to the beach and the frog pond. I always feel like she's getting a little "dog-cation" while I'm away.”

They were very kind and gentle with her and her shyness didn’t faze them. Buster my 8 year old terrier who is cautious around strangers, but a real gentleman, picked his spots to lay down and wait patiently and was calm when I arrived. Even though both dogs refused to eat while they were there for the day, I was very happy with the care given by this family. They really listened to me and followed my suggestions! About: I love animals, staying active and being outside! I have a 4.5 year old Aussie Doodle named Olli. My pup is well adjusted, playful, loving and active. Long walks and jogging are the daily activities that keep up moving together. I am a reliable dog mom, and am looking to open up our home to hosting other furry babies on a part time basis. Making sure that my pup stays active, happy and healthy is my top priority. Activities throughout the week range from getting two long walks in per day OR heading out for a good length, decent paced jog to get the morning started off right. My dog is my child, so she is generally by my side if I am not away at work. The day starts off with a lap around the block, followed by breakfast/enjoying the start of the morning. From there we go on a 2-3 mile walk around the neighborhood. Back home for some relaxing, a bit of play in between, dinner, then finish off with another good walk before settling in for the evening.

Ruthie had a great day with Kelly and her fur babies! Kelly is a sweet, compassionate and gentle person who we can tell loves all animals!! Ruthie was cared for and loved during her stay and slept exceptionally well when we brought her home. We think she was even a little bit lonely not having her fur buddies nearby. We will definitely book with Kelly again!!!!!!
Willy loved being with Christine; he was right at home. I hope Christine will be available to take care of him the nest time we go out of town. My pup, 12 years old but still a pup at heart was so at home with Citlali he growled at me when I went to pick him up after just 24 hours. Haha. 😂 My guy is not shy with his feelings. I know he was well cared for and loved. I am so grateful for her loving care of my little guy.
Absolutely the best stay! My little buddy was pampered, treated and loved, I had a hard time getting him back into the car after I got back, He got lots of walks, naps and attention. He even got a bath. It’s hard for me to leave him but it feels like he’s getting a vacation every time he gets to stay with Jehan!!!
Sam was amazing! Our girl built such a great relationship with Sam and her cat. Throughout our dog's stay we got plenty of photos and cute videos! Sam was super communative and understood all of our girls needs. When we picked our pup back up we could tell she had an amazing stay, all smiles, 100/5 stars!! Thank you Sam!
Yumi was fantastic to work with. She took such good care of Rocko, and made sure to update us regularly with photos. She took him on a nice nature walk, and allowed him to run around in her backyard. We will definitely be calling Yumi up to watch Rocko again in the future.

From the start, her communication was thoughtful and thorough—she asked all the right questions and kept us updated with adorable photos and messages throughout Fiona’s stay. It gave us such peace of mind knowing Fiona was in a cozy, safe, and loving environment. Glennis made sure she was comfortable, even checking in about her food, treats, and habits. Fiona clearly enjoyed hanging out with Glennis and her dogs, and it meant a lot to see her so relaxed and happy. Pick-up and drop-off went smoothly, and Glennis was kind and accommodating even when we arrived a little early. We would absolutely book with her again without hesitation. In short: the perfect Rover for boarding, especially first timers!! I’d give 10 or 100 stars if I could!! Sara was an incredible Rover and I will be using her again (and again)! It was my first time boarding my rescue Golden Retriever and I was nervous, as Meadow has slight quirks as most rescues do. Sara calmed all my nerves as she actively sent me photos showing Meadow was eating, hiking, playing in the Carmel river, and sleeping soundly!! Meadow’s boarding at Sara’s was basically a doggy summer camp dream in Carmel Valley! Sara loved my dog as if it were her own, and that’s a testament to how incredible of a boarder she is - she’s attentive to the dogs needs and will go above and beyond to make sure your dog feels right at home. Plus the activities, I mean Meadow had the time of her life and definitely got a ton of exercise while I was gone. Even further, Meadow was tuckered out when I picked her up which was very helpful after I had full day of traveling back from the East Coast. I will be recommending Sara to anyone that asks for a rec for a boarder in Monterey, especially dogs that need activity or exercise, but even those that just want to hangout in the sun and chill with good humans. Also, Sara was extremely flexible with pick up and drop off, as I had flight changes and couldn’t abide by my initially requested time frames. I cannot thank her enough for taking the best care of my dog!
