“If there is anyone that I would want to watch my dog while I was out of town it would be Chris (she’s also a local Vet tech). She took great care of my child/dog Aldo while I was gone for a few days. She always sent me pics of him having a great time at her house playing with the all the toys and her 2 dogs, always took him for walks, and gave him treats. He usually sleeps on his bed on the floor but when I came back he was sleeping on Chris’ bed... Now he sleeps in my bed every night since I picked Him up!! 5/5 stars and a great person too!”

“Ollie clearly had a wonderful time hanging out with Marion and all of the other puppies :-) she spoiled him with walks and he even ended up fancying one of the other dogs she was watching when he’s normally just interested in people. I absolutely trust leaving Ollie in Marion’s care and I don’t say that lightly. He’s my child and I’m so glad we found her. We love Monterey and will likely be coming back regularly and keeping ollie with her. Thanks Marion for the excellent care!!”

“We feel lucky to have had Jesse dog sit for us. He is very kind and caring. He honored our care instructions and we are grateful for that. Widget was very happy after his stay with Jesse.”

“Riley was great! They sent a lot of updates and photos during my pet’s stay, which gave me real peace of mind while I was away. It was clear my pet was well cared for, comfortable, and getting plenty of attention. Communication was easy the whole time, and Riley was very responsive to messages. I’d definitely trust them to watch my pet again and would happily recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable and caring sitter.”

“Citladi took exceptional care of Claire, making her right at home! She touched base and sent me a few photos but did not feel the need to be in constant contact with me which I appreciated. I felt great that Claire was having a fun, safe and comfortable stay!”

“Samantha was very active with Zoe and kept me informed throughout her entire stay. Her flexibility made my trip stress free and it was nice knowing Zoe was doing good the whole time. I am so grateful to have found her and will use her again in the future.”

“Carol was an incredible sitter during our trip! We felt so fortunate to leave our beloved and somewhat spoiled mini golden doodle, Augie, in the hands of both Annabelle and Carol. Their warmth and genuine care made all the difference for him. Augie was so happy and well-fed during his stay, which is quite an achievement given his picky eating habits! We would absolutely choose Carol again if given the chance. She was incredibly responsible with our precious pup and even accommodated us by allowing a late pickup. Thank you, Carol, for providing such a loving space for our furry Baby!”

“Johemy was great! Excellent communication from time of booking and sent pictures and updates while my dogs were with her. They obviously liked her because they weren't overly excited when I came to pick up like they always are when I come home. She was very detailed about wanting specific details about feeding, going outside, sleeping, toys, treats, etc. and I felt 100% comfortable leaving them. We will definitely use her again. That being said, I probably wouldn't take a large dog because of it being a small apartment but it was perfectly fine for our small dogs.”

“Christina and Brennan were Great! Sent photos a videos everyday! They both love dogs and are so caring and kind!!! Thank you so much my Bella love being with you and Brennan!”

“Everything was great. We had to postpone to another day due to weather and Kristin was flexible and understanding. Great communication before and during. Kristin sent pics of our dog and he seemed happy!”

“An amazing dog sitter! Left my 13yo dog, Pumpkin, with Asta for a week and she had a great time. I received so many pictures while I was on vacation so I knew Pumpkin was doing well and enjoying her time with Asta and her dog. I can't recommend her enough 😄”

“Yessina and Sophie and their 3 children were the perfect introduction for my 6 month old puppy, Pixie, to experience her 1st dog sitters! They were very kind and gentle with her and her shyness didn’t faze them. Buster my 8 year old terrier who is cautious around strangers, but a real gentleman, picked his spots to lay down and wait patiently and was calm when I arrived. Even though both dogs refused to eat while they were there for the day, I was very happy with the care given by this family. They really listened to me and followed my suggestions! I’m planning on returning and rebooking with them!”

“Sarah was attentive and sweet. I happen to have a pup who does really well off leash and loves running; they catered to that aspect allowing my dog to run often as well as explore to different locations they went to throughout the stay. I received pictures and videos and, to be completely honest, am trying to plan another vacation soon because pup enjoyed their time so much with Sarah. Thank you. I'm grateful to know there is now a person who I will be a 'regular' with.”

“Donna was available for my last minute request to care for my little guy. Although we had never met, Donna's calm and friendly nature when I dropped his off assured me that Junior was in good hands. Her patio access off the living room was easy for Junior to recognize where to go "potty" and he enjoyed exploring this private outdoor area. She is experienced with dogs and special care. I will definitely be reaching out to Donna again soon for my next doggie care. Thank you Donna - I appreciate you!”

“Bridget did a great job with Buddy. Buddy loved hanging with his new friends, even her 2 kitty's. I received daily updates with pictures. We would engage Bridget's services again.”

About: What sets me apart is my lifelong passion for animals and extensive hands-on experience caring for them. I’ve been a dog owner since I was 15, and I currently have two French Bulldogs, which has given me a deep understanding of breed-specific needs, puppy energy, and senior pet care. Professionally, I’ve worked in both an animal hospital and a doggy daycare, where I gained experience with feeding routines, administering basic care, monitoring health and behavior, and handling pets of all sizes and temperaments. I’m also skilled in creating structured routines, providing gentle exercise, and giving extra love and attention to pets who need it, like seniors or shy dogs. I pride myself on being reliable, patient, and attentive. I make sure to communicate clearly with pet owners, providing regular updates and photos so they can feel confident and at ease while they’re away. For me, every pet deserves individualized care, respect, and affection, and I treat each one as if they were my own. My combination of personal experience, professional training, and genuine love for animals ensures that every pet in my care feels safe, happy, and truly cared for. About: I’m the mom to a cat named Zeppelin, a dog named Stevie and a horse named Cece. I successfully trained both Stevie and Zeppelin (yes you can train a cat!) myself and have dabbled in equine training as well. Being the guardian of a nervous, reactive pup, I pride myself on understanding animal behavior and dog body language. After bringing Stevie home, I was quickly thrown into the world of dog training and behavior modification out of necessity and I have a special place in my heart for nervous pups. I've even started training other people's dogs on the side! After training my own dog, I fell in love with the process and couldn't put it down! I’ve also worked in a veterinary office and feel confident in my abilities to keep your animals safe and know how to handle emergencies. I’m a lab assistant for an environmental toxicology lab and train dogs on the side. I am available for drop ins and walks in the late afternoon and evening most days as well as any time on Sunday’s. At this time I am not available for boarding or overnight stays. I’ll treat your pets like I treat my own, all of mine are rescues that took time, patience and trust to get to where we are now. I understand that having a new person around might be scary for your pet at first but I look forward to building a relationship with them so we all feel safe and comfortable. Having a nervous, reactive dog and a nervous cat has taught me how to better understand dog and cat body language and to go at their own pace.
“Sonia is amazing! She patiently worked with me to create a schedule that worked for us both. She sent daily check-ins with pictures and promptly responded to any message I sent. I was worry-free my entire trip knowing my pets were in good hands. I will definitely reach out to her next time I travel.”

“Carol was absolutely wonderful. She took care of our dog and cat for 10 days during Christmas break. She was professional and went above and beyond our expectations. She was attentive to their needs and allowed both of them to be relaxed and happy while we were gone. Carol sent me daily updates and photos of how they are doing. I would highly recommend her services to everyone and for sure will book with her again! ”

“Bri took care of our cat and kitten while we were out of town for most of a week. She popped by a few times a day to hang out/feed/play with them and make sure they were alive and not destroying the house! It was nice peace of mind having someone check on them, getting updates, and she had a flexible schedule which was great.”

“Denise took wonderful care of our kitty! She gave us great updates and pictures every visit, and we could see that our cat looked happy. I would definitely recommend her to a friend.”

“Elle was absolutely amazing to work with! She was super communicative and easy to reach, and I felt really comfortable knowing my cat was in great hands. I would highly recommend her for any of your pet sitting needs and would absolutely book with her again! 🤩”

“Carol did a fantastic job on taking care of our super fussy and shy two kitties on a very short notice. She was very understanding and accommodating to my changing situation, challenging personalities of my kitties, and worked with me throughout the duration of the stay. She is highly professional and caring and updated me with the detailed reports on them after each visit so I was be able to be at ease and did not have to worry about them during my trip. I really appreciated her help and I will definitely work with her again and highly recommend her.”

About: I grew up around animals, working on my grandparents’ ranch and helping to care for horses, cows, sheep, chickens, ducks, cats, and dogs. I’ve always found working with animals to come quite naturally for me. I first began pet sitting during high school, and in recent years I’ve fostered for local rescue organizations, taking care of and helping to socialize dogs who are up for adoption. My husband and I adopted our own rescue, Leroy, in February 2020 and are so grateful we did! I work from home during the week, and enjoy breaking up my workday with nature walks. Leroy and I love spending time with other dogs, and especially enjoy taking them with us to explore our beautiful neighborhood! I tend to talk often to Leroy and the dogs I’m caring for, and treat them more like little humans. The dogs I grew up with were treated like members of the family, and I’ll treat your dog with the same kindness and respect. Since I work from home, my schedule is flexible and adaptable depending on the needs of the dogs I’m caring for. As an example of my routine for my own dog, I usually take Leroy for a morning walk, a lunchtime walk, and another longer hike or beach walk in the afternoon/early evening, plus a short potty walk after dinner. Depending on whether your dog is dog-friendly or not, I can care for them together or separately. I prefer to visit for a meet-and-greet before scheduling any bookings, so that I can get to know you and your pet in your environment. I like to have an in-depth understanding of their typical daily and nightly routine, so that I can stick to it closely during my stay. My goal is for our time together to be as comfortable for your pet as possible, which I think means disrupting their comfort zone as little as possible. I will follow your directions to a tee, and be in contact with updates regularly to keep you informed.

“Kalikonani is a lovely young lady who kindly cares for her dog and another small, older dog. She asked several questions before accepting the booking to be sure it would be a comfortable and safe environment for those (charming) dogs and mine. She gave me a detailed account of the entire time my dog was there with several photos. I would definitely book her again if I lived in the area or if I visit again.”

“Carol was wonderful. She accommodated a last minute request after two other Rovers canceled on us. Oni was well taken care of care of and seemed like she’d had a great time. We will definitely turn to Carol again next time we are in town.”

“Jesse is very friendly. He guided us into his home with clear instructions. He took Sunny for a long walk with beautiful scenery along the road to release his energy. He took care of him very well by giving treats, cleaning him up after walk and settling him down in a very nice area of the home. Thank you for taking good care of my dog and I was able to enjoy visiting some places that are not dog friendly.”

“My dog had so much fun with Emily! I am really happy to find someone I trust, and can tell right away the great care and attention that she provides. Also it was very easy to communicate, go over the details I wanted to discuss and everything!”

About: Hi! I’m Elizabeth — a lifelong animal lover offering dog walking and active, attentive daycare in the Monterey, Pacific Grove, and Carmel area. I provide more than just supervision — I offer an *adventure-based* experience for your dog. I spend most of my days outdoors with my very active toddler, exploring local trails, beaches, and neighborhoods, and I love bringing dogs along for the experience. This works great for both daily walks and doggy daycare. Whether it’s a long walk, a nature-filled outing, or plenty of time to sniff and explore, your dog will get real engagement and exercise — not just time in a yard. For doggy daycare, your pup will be out and about with us, enjoying fresh air, movement, and stimulation throughout the day. Because my child is always with me it’s important that dogs are **friendly, gentle, and comfortable around young children** for everyone’s safety. I grew up on a farm surrounded by animals — often with 8–10 dogs on the property at a time — so I’m very comfortable reading behavior, managing different temperaments, and keeping things calm and positive. You can expect thoughtful care, regular updates, and a genuine love for getting dogs out into the world. If you’re looking for someone who will treat your dog to a safe, active, and enriching day, I’d love to connect! 🐾 I have a flexible schedule that allows me to consistently walk and care for animals throughout the week. I maintain a trusted routine with several pets and would love to welcome yours into the mix. When caring for pets in a client’s home I ensure each pet receives personalized attention based on their unique needs. I adhere to the routines and instructions provided by the pet owners, including feeding schedules, exercise routines, and any special care requirements.

“Marion is absolutely the BEST! Marion is patient, gentle, and kind. Marion took a chance walking my two rescue dogs who are recover from severe abuse. She allowed them to warm up to her on their timeline and they looked forward to seeing her every day. Marion made it possible for me to feel comfortable leaving my paw kids in her care while I had to attend work meetings. Furever grateful! 💕”

“Carol agreed in Oct to have visits to meet our dog in preparation for Xmas trip. Our dog is really scared of strangers. It took 6-7 visits for our dog to get used to Carol. Carol was very patient with it. She was flexible working out times and was able to do some walking visits at Xmas. She contacted us with updates and questions and we felt like our dog was in good hands. We will continue to work with Carol now that our dog has another person she likes! ”

About: Hello, my name is Sonia! I have worked with various organizations throughout Monterey County, where I received training in animal behavior and boarding. Over the past five years, I’ve gained valuable experience creating daily routines that help animals feel comfortable and cared for. I am currently a volunteer at the SPCA clinic as a vet assistant, and help at the cat and dog adoption center. I have also worked at a local veterinary clinic and am now a full-time Rover sitter! I am CPR certified and comfortable administering both oral medications and injections. During my time on Rover, I’ve had the pleasure of meeting so many wonderful pets and building great relationships with both them and their owners. I love sending daily photos and updates so pet parents can feel at ease while they’re away. Please feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns—I’m always happy to help. Thank you! :) P.S. My pup Tommy does not accompany me to visits or house sittings, so no worries if your pet prefers to be the only animal in the home. :) Hello, welcome to my page! “Carol was fantastic! She was responsive to my request for a dog walker and was great in communicating with me before, during and after. We were on vacation staying at a hotel with our dog. Carol’s dog walking service enabled us to have two daytime outings without worrying about him. Thanks, Carol!”

“Bridget did a great job with Buddy. Buddy loved hanging with his new friends, even her 2 kitty's. I received daily updates with pictures. We would engage Bridget's services again.”

“Nina was an excellent and communicative sitter for my dog. She has a great yard and I think my dog already misses it! Nina’s dog Ranie is a great playmate and kindly shared her toys with my dog. I just moved to this area, so I feel really lucky to have found Nina right away!”

“Helen was a great caretaker for my dog! She was quick to communicate, shared pictures of her playing with my dog multiple times over the 2 day watch, and I could just tell me dog was happy and well exercised upon pickup. Would definitely book again! Thanks Helen!”

“Brenden is amazing and took such great care of Mulligan! We were able to fully enjoy a wedding celebration knowing our dog was in great hands. Brenden took the dogs hiking and lots of play was had which was perfect to tire Mulligan out ahead of our 6 hour drive home. Highly recommend!!!”

About: I have had dogs all of my life, all breeds and all ages. We are a family of 6, Mom, Dad, our 12 yr old daughter and our 3 fur babies. We dedicate our time to making them happy and live a full life. We have volunteered to foster puppies through the SPCA and pet sit for family as well. Our home is cozy with a good size backyard. All dogs would sleep indoors and have someone with them at all times since We work from home. We currently work from home so there will always be someone home with your pet. We can go for short or long walks a couple times per day and they have full access to to indoor and outdoor throughout the day. We have a fenced backyard and can separate rooms with baby gates if needed. There’s a doggy door in the garage to the backyard and two separate runners. We have a soon to be 5 yr old German shepherd, a 9 yr old rescue chihuahua and our old man a 10 yr old Shih Tzu. They are spayed/neutered and get along great with other dogs. You will have the option to have your pet sleep in the living room alongside our dogs or in a separate room.
“Athena opened up her home to Chestnut on a short notice. Our pup had enough room to walk about and sniff. Drop off ad pick up were easy and her communication was quick. Definitely will be utilizing her services again”
