As a stay-at-home mom, caring for pets fits naturally into my daily life. I’m home throughout the day, which means I can provide lots of attention, timely care, and a consistent routine for the pets I watch. 🐶 Daily Schedule: • Morning walks, feeding, and playtime to help pets start their day happy and energized. • Midday potty breaks, enrichment activities, and lots of interaction with me and my family. • Evening walks, dinner, and cuddle time to help them feel settled and loved. 🏡 A Loving, Family Environment: Pets in my care are surrounded by a calm, family-oriented home with plenty of attention and affection throughout the day. My flexible routine allows me to give them the care they need without feeling rushed or alone. 💬 Frequent Updates: I make it a priority to keep pet parents connected by sending regular updates, photos, and videos. Before caring for any pet, I like to learn as much as possible to make sure they feel comfortable, safe, and happy in my home. Some important things I like to know ahead of time are: • Daily Routine: Feeding schedule, potty habits, walk times, and sleep preferences. • Personality & Comforts: Are they playful, shy, cuddly, energetic, or more relaxed? Do they have any special toys, beds, or routines that help them feel at home? • Social Preferences: How do they do around other pets, children, or new people? • Medical Needs: Allergies, medications, past injuries, or anything I should watch out for. • Behavioral Notes: Separation anxiety, chewing habits, fears (like loud noises or certain environments), and any special handling instructions. • Training Cues: Commands they know, leash behavior, crate training, and house rules they’re used to. The more I know, the better I can make sure your pet has a safe, happy, and stress-free stay with me!
A typical day
When I’m watching pets, I love to make sure they’re having just as much fun as I am! Depending on their personality and energy level, I’ll tailor activities to keep them happy and engaged. Some of my favorite things to do with pets include: 🐾 Exciting Walks: Exploring the neighborhood, parks, or their favorite routes for fresh air and exercise. 🎾 Playtime: Fetch, tug-of-war, chasing toys, and interactive games to keep their minds and bodies active. 🧸 Enrichment Activities: Treat hunts, and learning new tricks for mental stimulation. 🐕🦺 Quality Time: Belly rubs, brushing, and relaxing together for pets who love to cuddle and chill. Every pet is different, so I always take the time to get to know their favorite things and what makes them happiest!

I went to pick up my dog, Remy, and had to wait on the porch for several minutes before realizing Yessica (dog sitter) wasn’t home. The dog sitter drove up fast shortly after, and I found out my dog had been left unattended in the dark in her house. When the dog sitter opened her front door, I saw my dog roaming around in the dark and looked scared. She mentioned she had just run to the store, but this was never communicated to me through the rover app. She only said this when I was waiting by the door to pick up my dog. This is not professional or acceptable—especially when I paid $83 expecting my dog to be supervised and cared for. If I wanted my dog to be left alone, I could have kept her at home for free. Poor communication and lack of care. 1/5 stars. 0 if I could.
Yessina and Sophie and their 3 children were the perfect introduction for my 6 month old puppy, Pixie, to experience her 1st dog sitters! They were very kind and gentle with her and her shyness didn’t faze them. Buster my 8 year old terrier who is cautious around strangers, but a real gentleman, picked his spots to lay down and wait patiently and was calm when I arrived. Even though both dogs refused to eat while they were there for the day, I was very happy with the care given by this family. They really listened to me and followed my suggestions! I’m planning on returning and rebooking with them!
