These days, I’m trading long meetings for tail wags, peaceful trail walks, and the joy of caring for pets with calm, steady attention. I volunteer part-time at Muir Woods and spend most days enjoying the outdoors with good dogs and good views. My experience with animals goes back to childhood, and over the years I’ve raised several dogs from playful puppies to graceful seniors. This has given me hands-on experience with everything from vibrant energy to the gentle care older pets need. At home, I currently live with two dogs—one young and spirited, the other a wise senior girl. Boba is a bit of a picky dog who gets scared walking on unfamiliar streets, but Tasha patiently took him out for walks. She slept with our pugs, who love being around people, let them sit on her lap, played with them using their toys, and sent us photos via text, which allowed us to enjoy our trip with peace of mind.
