“My dog is 12 years old, visually impaired w/severe cataracts, has arthritis in his hind legs so he can’t go up/down stairs and struggles to walk (35lbs which can be a bit heavy for people to carry), and is diabetic, requiring insulin injections 2x daily at 7:30am/pm. I used to board him but (understandably) they weren’t comfortable taking him at the doggy hotel anymore because they couldn’t give him the attention he needs with all the other dogs. So I turned to Rover. When we met Christina, we arrived at her home with my pup’s tush covered in poop cuz he had an accident in the car while sitting. I wouldn’t have been surprised if she turned us away after - not a great first impression! Silly me. She got out some wipes and took the time to carefully and gently clean him. Christina was very thorough in understanding what he needed, asking questions instead of just guessing or assuming. She sent lots of pictures and videos throughout the weekend, and when I picked him back up, most importantly, he was happy and doing great. I missed him a lot when I was away, but I didn’t worry about him, which is incredible. I cannot thank Christina enough for giving me that peace of mind.”

About: We love pets and have had multiple dogs in our lifetimes. We both work from home, and share a love for taking care of animals. Our dog of almost 14 years passed away last year, and while we aren't ready to get a dog again, we've been missing the energy of having a dog in our home. We're experienced with both with young and senior dogs, as well as the health & aging related cycles of pet-owning, having cared for our dog through cancer treatments, kidney disease, arthritis, and more. We live near Golden Gate Park and love taking walks in our neighborhood and in the park and happy to walk your dog in their favorite neighborhoods! We only take one dog at a time. We've been part of this platform as pet parents for over 10 years, so we understand the process from both sides. Our experience has taught us the importance of asking thoughtful questions before every stay to ensure your pet receives the personalized care, comfort, and attention they deserve. We work remotely and have the flexibility to get your dog out for frequent walks and potty breaks. This also means we can give lots of scratches and pets during the day. We have enclosed front yard that the dogs can roam and do their potty breaks. If your dog is older, we have dog proof steps that we put on our wood floors to prevent our dog from slipping. We also have a new dog bed and dog stairs if needed.

Allison and Gordon had no problems giving my dog timely injections, and to my surprise, I was told my dog didn’t vomit at all throughout his stay with them! I received regular updates, photos, and messages throughout the stay, which gave me a complete peace of mind. My dog came home happy, relaxed, and clearly very well cared for.
