“One of the best dog walkers I’ve had. Super into my dogs (as I would assume she’d be with anyone else’s) meaning she really cared what they were like and needed.”

About: I've enjoyed having a dog since before I moved out of the house. My current dog, Leo is very friendly with all the neighbors-the kids love to stop and pet him. I've helped with dogs and cats when friends and neighbors are out of town. My sister's dog, Ferguson, a terrier/chihuahua mix has stayed with us off and own for a few years. It's interesting how you rise the occasion when you have a sick pet. My dog Sampson suffered from cancer several years ago now, and part of the treatment was to provide him with subcutaneous saline. In exchange for all the love and comfort a pet provides, it's paramount that we as owners provide the same in return. I am a recent retiree and have a flexible schedule. Weekday and weekend opportunities to help people with their pets is easy for me to do. All my dogs have been crate trained. When we leave the house it is not an issue to use the crate. My current dog, Leo behaves very well in the house alone, so we use the crate less and less with him. Almost always he camps out by the back door waiting for us to come home.

“Anna is the best!!”

“Jay was great at communicating, flexible with some last minute changes, and was great with my high-energy basenji. I will definitely book with Jay again.”

“We are so happy to have found Jazmin! She really worked with our dog (who can be skittish at first around new people) to ensure he was comfortable with her, and sends awesome update and pictures after their walks. Would highly recommend!”

About: From a young age I've always felt I've been able to create unique bonds with the pets I interact with. Sitting for family and friends' pets has never felt like a job because I enjoy it so much. Over the last 9 years, I have happily become accustomed to the daily routine of walking, feeding, and fetching with my own dog as she’s grown from a puppy to a senior. The aspect of caring for pets that I find most important and most enjoyable is quality time creating a bond. Once fed, I have no issue playing and petting for hours!

I get along great with cats and am super patient with all animals. I am a student at Agnes Scott College, and I’ll be in Decatur all year, including the summer! I will be working from 8am-4pm on weekdays, but have weekends free. I’ve had cats and dogs for most of my life and I love taking care of them! I can walk your dog and take them to the park or crate them if needed. For cats, I can sit with them and give them lots of attention and all the head rubs they want.

“Meredith was very attentive to my dog Pope! She was prompt, great at communication, and made sure she had all the details down prior to caring for him. Will book again!”

About: New to Rover? Ask me for a promo code to get $20 off your first booking! I work from home full time now so I am available most days for walks and drop ins. I have grown up with dogs and cats in my house. In college, I couldn't have pets where I lived but I volunteered with the local shelter to take dogs out for "happy hour" where I took them to parks and played with them to meet others and get them out of the shelter! I am now a dog mom to a little miniature dachshund so I no longer do house sitting services. I work from home with a pretty flexible schedule and open most weekends I try to keep my rover calendar up to date for any days I am not available 🐶🐱 In their home, I will follow their normal rules whether it’s where they’re allowed to go or what furniture they can/can’t get on. Crating if that’s what they usually do. use their usual leash/harnesses. If your dog/cat normally sleep in bed with you that works with me as well!

About: Hi, my name is Brittany and I love animals. (I'm sure everyone here says that.) I have been volunteering at various shelters for years, as well as fostering dogs and house sitting for dogs, cats, and chickens. I am trustworthy (I have client references if needed) and I take great care to make sure every pet feels love like they should. :) I do request dogs to be house trained. I can offer a nice walk on sidewalks or the trail, or just throwing a ball inside, if your pet is anything like mine was. (Miniature Rat Terrier, we played a lot of fetch in this condo.) I work from home so there will be a lot of one-on-one time. I’m that someone to water your plants and get your mail while you are away! Prices are based on a 24 hour cycle. (Example: If you drop off pup(s) at 10 am, your pick-up time is 10 am.) If you need to extend your time, 1-3 hours is $5, 3-6 hours $10, 6-9 hours, $15, 9+ hours, full day's rate. This is per dog. My standard routine is working from my laptop, occasional grocery trips, lots of watching Hulu and couch cuddle time. I try to take a daily walk around .5 miles but can adjust to shorter or longer walks based on dog needs. I prefer staying at client’s home, I’ve found most pups feel more comfortable that way. A meet and greet is preferred, just a walk through of how you keep your house, how your pup/s like to be cared for, etc. I’m a homebody, pets will be left alone for no longer than a trip to Kroger.

I play with and take care of my own dog and would love to welcome others into my home. I have one very friendly small dog (10 lbs), a half acre fenced in yard, and either myself or my partner is always at home.

Mike really enjoys hiking and having a four legged companion with him will provide the dog with exercise and necessary stimulation. Being retired allows Mike to be flexible with his scheduling and allows for a wider range of availability. I personally have used Rover for my dogs, and feel that Mike will make an excellent walker/sitter.”

Nolan & Tiffany D.
“Nolan took care of our four dogs yesterday while we were at a wedding We are very protective, okay neurotic, about our dogs. They are our children We have a big Shepherd mix a big bully mix and two pugs. They all loved him. It is obvious from the way he interacts with the dogs that he knows how to handle dogs.
