About: Although at this moment I am a cat mom, I had a family dog since I was 5 years old I walked, fed and medicated, and I frequently dropped into my neighborhood houses when needed to feed and play with their dogs while on they were away. I have voluntereed at 2 different shlters beofre, taking care of both cats and dogs. Although small, I am strong and can handle medium and large sized dogs with relative ease, even energetic ones. I have the stamina to do longer walks if needed, and will feed, water and, if needed, give medication accurately when left with clear instructions. With my current life, I can't have a dog of my own, so I will live my dog mom dream through your perfect pup. I have a fairly flexible schedule, and the farther ahead you book, the more likely it is I can make your appointment fit. The best times to book are Tueday and Thusday morning, Wednesday afternoon and evening, Saturday night and Sunday morning. Other times are available, but at least a one day notice is needed to ensure availability. I do not have a car, so I am limited to pets within a fairly short radius and need enough notice to find a way there. I don't offer services in my home because my cats don't like other animals, however if you need me to come by and take care of your fur baby, leave a list of written instruction somewhere easily visible and whatever I need like food/medication, etc. somewhere easily accessible and I will handle the rest. If you want me to being any cat toys to play with them, please let me know before the visit.

“Brianne took wonderful care of my cat during the drop in visits while I was away. She took care of all the usual items, and made sure my cat had clean bowls each day. She also spent time playing with her and keeping her company. Brianne is reliable, attentive, and clearly loves animals. I would definitely recommend her and will be booking again in the future!”

About: Been raising pups since moving to Salem in 2013; first with one pup from puppy to old age and now with a new puppy. He goes on multiple walks a day around Salem and has a whole network of doggie friends in Salem. Happy to take your pup along or on their own solo walks! A lot of my main work is client/home based so have a lot of flexibility with my days around the home. Available to do walks throughout the day and can assist with boarding or hoise sitting with notice as it fits into the schedule. We don't have a yard so I take the pup out for a good number of walks throughout the day. We go over to the Derby Wharf, Salem Common, and Collins cove to run around and sometimes play with other pups

About: I have taken care of dogs since I was 13, whether that be my friends or family. I am very patient with dogs too so I can handle dogs who are shy or even bold. I volunteered at an animal shelter so I also have lots of experience with senior dogs and puppies. I am a teacher so this is my summer side hustle! So from Wednesday through Saturday , I am available from 11-3. This may change a bit, but I am pretty flexable. I have a fenced-in yard with two dogs and two cats! I have a very shy dog and an independent dog so I am used to working with dogs with different personalities. The same goes for cats! I have had many moody cats in my life so I totally understand a sassy furry friend!

“Joyce is a kind a caring person. She took such wonderful care of our cat and made sure to keep us in the loop while we were away. She even made a cat toy out of yarn for our cat. Thank you for be so caring!”

About: Dog loving homebody. Runs, walks, park when the weathers nice. Beach or hiking on the weekends. I love spending quality time with my pup. I'm active duty and travel regularly but when I'm home I am with my pup ( I understand how hard it is to kennel or leave your fur kid when you travel). I don't have much of a yard/patio but that just means more quality time with the pup. House is "ruff" housing safe. House trained is a must. Crate train or free roam is fine (mine is free roaming). My dog is e-collared trained so I'm comfortable to the technology. Quieter dogs preferred just to be respectful of my neighbors. Special request/care can be discussed. All well mannered/tempered pups welcome. I work full time, mon-fri. I’m home most weekends with my pup. I have a flexible work schedule as far as my daily hours are concerned, I can adjust accordingly. My spare time revolves around my pet, adding one or two more to the group just adds more fun and excitement. I have a yard which is not fully fenced and dogs will always be supervised while in the yard. I have a large gated deck for the sun bathers. My dog free roams while I’m at work but there is plenty of room if a crate is needed for a guest. My dog is fed twice a day and typically gets interactive treat toys in the afternoons. We are a very chill, easy going household.

I can be available during the week from 12-7 My cat has her "cat condo" and an abundance of toys. She has been trained to sit and lay down! She greets me at the door most days when I walk in.

About: I grew up with animals and currently have a friendly 2 year old dog who loves to play. I love to go on long walks or hikes. I currently work a full time job but only work 3 days a week so I have plenty of time to take care of your babies. I have a 2 year old dog that gets a long with everyone. I have a big apartment and can crate your pets if needed.

“Stephanie was amazing with my crazy (3) dogs. One is a puppy and fearful, and the other two are sweet but a handful. She successfully got all of them to relax, do their thing, and (best part) sent great pictures. I highly recommend Stephanie!”

About: I've had two dogs of my own - one blind, and the other deaf. I am happy to manage your pet's quirks while we're having a great time together, too. Every pet needs something different, so I'll pay close attention to the details of your instructions. I'm also very focused on safety: leashes and familiar walks are a must! As a teacher during the school year, I am booking now for summer. I would love to share my time off with your pets! During the school year, I am available after 4:00pm to check in on your pet so everyone is happy when you arrive home. I am a teacher during the school year, so my summer is wide open. I do enjoy visiting a few clients each day - it adds some structure to my own life! At my place, I have an air-conditioned apartment and a small porch where your pet and I can relax. We can take walks in the neighborhood or along the rail trail, located right across the street. Leashes and tags are always a must! In your home, I'll be sensitive to your pet's routines and habits around the house. Likewise, I'll be careful about your privacy and the condition of your home. In either location, we can agree on a timetable so you can expect pictures and updates of your special pet.

“Chino is always happy and healthy when we return home. Stiles sends excellent pictures that help us miss him a little less and they always communicate if they need anything from us.”

Danielle M.
“I am writing this reference in regards to Danielle Maltais who has applied to Rover as a pet sitter/walker. I've known Danielle for many years. During that time she has been a pet sitter for my late dog, Beth - an Aussie shepherd mix. Additionally, when a friend passed, there was no one to care for her dog, Tyler, a pug. Danielle adopted Tyler and gave him a wonderful home which he shared with Danielle's own dog, Maisy - a beagle, dachshund, Jack Russell mix. Currently, Danielle often sits/walks our current dog, Freddy - a coonhound mix. Clearly she has experience with various sizes and temperaments of dogs. Danielle is always punctual and reliable. She walks, feeds and cares for the dogs at the appropriate times and places and according to the wishes of the owners. I highly recommend Danielle for a position with Rover.”
