About: I've been raised to love animals since childhood, and we've had numerous dogs and cats at home growing up. My mother taught me a great deal about treating animals with care and love. I am retired and am available for cat sitting on weekdays between 8 am to 5 pm. I look forward to doting on and pampering your precious ones when they are under my care. With utmost care and attention in your own home. I know that cats are happiest in their own home, doing their own routines. Their comfort is my top priority.
About: I have over 20 years of experience caring for cats and treat every guest like my own. My home is calm, safe, and filled with love. There’s no holiday rate😊 【It is all about companionship🪀🐈🐈⬛ & Safty🔛】 As a full-time "work-at-home" artist🎨 & Cats-aholic😍🐱 & a childfree woman🧑🏼🎨, it also makes me well-suited to be a full-time cat🐱 sitter. So here I am🙋♀️! Welcome to a quiet, artist-owned private home designed as a peaceful retreat for cats. With a spacious garden and three cozy rooms, this is a serene haven where feline guests can truly unwind. Most cats love sitting by the windows or large glass patio doors, watching the birds and squirrels that visit the fruit trees outside. Sometimes, friendly neighborhood cats even stop by to say hello.
“Ariena took fantastic care of our elderly lab for about a week, she was a wonderful house guest and most importantly made our pup feel like a million bucks! Ariena gave frequent updates and it was clear she really enjoyed spending time with our dog which felt so comforting. At the last minute our dog needed some complicated medication administered, ariena took care of that no problem. Ariena also has a great personality and is funny and kind. Highly recommend!!!”

“Exceptional care! MJ took excellent care of our Bernedoodle puppy, she sent us updates and pictures throughout and our pup, Elvie, truly loved her time with MJ. Elvie has an abundance of energy and MJ kept her active and stimulated, she also brought over a snuffle mat which was such a hit we went out and bought one right away. Would 100% recommend MJ for your dogwalking or dogsitting needs.”

“Demi was a great house sitter for my dog Meatball! She was respectful of the house, gave us great updates and showed him a lot of love. We would definitely use her again!”

“This was a fantastic experience and all due to the care and communication we had with Siu Kei K. He was on punctual, did a great job caring for our pet, sent lots of pics and we were able to relax. Rover should take note of how much Siu Kei K. has earned our trust through his kindness with us and our pet, and his professionalism. I really can't recommend Siu Kei K. enough. Anyone interested in getting a pet cared for should put Siu Kei K. at the top of their list. We will be using Siu Kei K. again in the near future if he is available! Ken”
“It’s not easy to find a dog sitter who are experienced with petite senior dogs. Especially with dementia. Liz understands Meow Meow so well and took great care of her. This is the first time that I don’t need to worry about Meow Meow when I travel ever since she has dementia. Thank you Liz. I am so glad we found you.”

About: Dogs have been part of my life for almost as long as I can remember. I grew up with dogs, and my parents bred and showed Dobermans, so I was surrounded from an early age by thoughtful, consistent dog care and training. With only a few gaps during college and early adulthood, I've had a dog by my side throughout my entire life. I'm currently a dog owner myself, and my dog is very much part of my everyday life. That's also how I approach boarding. Rather than caring for a large group of dogs, I prefer to host one guest at a time so they can settle into our household and receive plenty of individual attention, companionship, walks, play, and affection. I'm home much of the day, so a visiting dog isn't routinely left alone for long stretches. I believe dogs respond best to patience, consistency, clear boundaries, positive interaction, and lots of affection. I also know every dog has its own personality, habits, and comfort level, so I want to learn what makes your dog feel safe and at home. My goal is simple: while you're away, your dog gets to live as a beloved member of the household rather than feeling like they're being sent away to boarding. I work primarily from home, and my own dog is already my near-constant companion, so caring for another dog fits very naturally into my daily life. When I board a dog, my intention is for them to join our household and our routine rather than spend long stretches of the day alone. That means plenty of companionship, regular walks and outdoor time, play, relaxation, and, when it's appropriate for the individual dog, coming along with us on dog-friendly outings. I take my own dog with me frequently and am happy to do the same with a guest who enjoys it. Most importantly, I adjust the routine to the dog. Some dogs love being out and about; others are happiest relaxing somewhere familiar and quiet. During their stay, I pay attention to what makes them comfortable and adapt accordingly. I want each dog in my care to feel safe, included, and genuinely at home while their family is away. Safety starts with making sure a dog is a good fit for our home. Before a first stay, I prefer to meet with you and your dog and introduce them to my dog so we can make sure everyone is comfortable together. I strive to understand your dog's normal routine, personality, feeding and walking schedule, house rules, medications or special needs, and anything that makes them anxious, excited, or especially happy. I follow your instructions and try to keep familiar routines consistent while adapting to what I observe during the stay. I host only one guest dog at a time, which allows me to give them plenty of individual attention and closely monitor how they're settling in. I use leashes and secure handling outdoors, keep food and other potential sources of conflict managed carefully, and never assume that two dogs who get along well don't still need thoughtful supervision. Most importantly, I pay attention. Dogs communicate constantly through their behavior, and I want to notice when a guest is relaxed, uncomfortable, tired, excited, or needs something different. My goal is to provide a safe, calm home where your dog can become part of the family while they're in my care.
“Michaela has been wonderful with our 2 dogs and 1 cat. She accomodated us booking her at the last minute before an international trip and was proactively communicating before and during the trip. The pets have been very happy in her very experienced hands and we received the cutest pictures a few times a day. Michaela went above and beyond with our pets and with taking care of our home - leaving stunning flowers on the way out. We personally connected with her and would love to have her back. Highly, highly recommended!”

“Nicole went beyond our hopes! Nicole regularly sent pictures and updates. We could see how happy our guy was. When we came home be was relaxed and not at all stressed from us being away (as he had been after other sitters). Nicole followed all instructions to care for our guy was is a little high maintenance due to back trouble. Nicole discovered his favorite games and even gave him a nice brushing at the end of their time together. We were so pleased and would love to have Nicole come back!”

About: All animals tend to love me, I have not met a animal that has never liked me, even the most timid animals feel comfortability when come in contact with me I do online schooling, so dog walking would be the best side hussle to take on to earn that extra money on my own time. I care for pets like any other owner would, which is feeding, playing and walking. May even bathe them if they are needed after playing or walking
“Mai was great with our dogs. I am glad I found Mai so we could have a peace of mind when we travel. She communicated well and was realiable. She also left our house neat and clean. We will definitely get her services again.”

“Amy is the best dog sitter we could have asked for. I pride myself on how much I take my dogs on adventures but Amy even surpassed what I do for my own dog! Amy took my dog on numerous wonderful adventures while sending me amazing pictures from their adventures. When Amy left she left a gorgeous hand drawn picture of our dog. I recommend Amy to anyone with a pet that they like and want to leave in good hands. 5 stars. A+ dog sitting! Will hire again!”

About: I have more experience with small dogs and cats. I used to play with small dogs a lot and I love their energy. I also love cats since I have two of my own. Looking forward to meet your pets. I can visit once a day on weekdays after 5pm. This visit can be playing for 30 mins, changing food or water. I can visit more often on weekend ( fri-sun) depend on your need. I prefer each visit will be as longest as 30 mins and I don't stay over night. I will make sure your pets have enough of necessities as I visit, like food or water. I make sure I can keep them a company and play with them to make them happy.
About: I’ve had cats for about 7 years and have always loved caring for them. I’ve also rescued several kittens and helped find them good homes. One of the reasons I’m majoring in Veterinary Assisting is because I’ve seen how cats are often overlooked, and I want to help give them the care they deserve. I’ll treat your cat like my own and make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. Since it’s summer, my schedule is very flexible. I do have a part-time job, but my shifts are usually only a few hours long and vary throughout the week. Outside of work, I have plenty of time to care for your pets and give them the attention they deserve. I will make sure your pets are well cared for while you’re away, and I’ll send regular photo updates so you can have peace of mind knowing they’re happy and safe. Your pet’s safety and well-being are always my top priorities. I’m reliable, attentive, and genuinely care about making sure pets are happy and comfortable. I make it a point to check on them regularly, give them plenty of attention, and make sure their needs are met. As a pet owner myself, I understand how important it is to know your pets are in good hands.
“Anthony was great with our special girl while we were visiting family over the holidays. He stayed at our home and was very flexible and extremely accommodating for our baby. He sent lots of photos and updates and even took her to the pet store a few times to pick out treats and get a much needed rain coat. She even tried to go home with him when he was leaving when we got home. 😂 I can’t recommend Anthony enough. We already have requested a few re-bookings.”

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Russell City walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Russell City maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Russell City choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
