About: I have had experiences with many dogs! I used to dog-walk in high school for my neighbors and so have had “Rover-type” experience. My family also has two dogs, both of which I have trained, groomed, bathed, walked, and all things in between for! I have cat-sit numerous times for friends and neighbors. I also worked at a cat hotel for a few months and so have had experience caring for multiple cats at once! I am a PhD student with lots of flexibility on hours and days that I work so I can fit in your pet’s care needs very easily! ABOUT MY LOVE FOR DOGS: Anyone who walks into my condo immediately knows how much I loved my dogs. I owned a German Shepherd (nine years) and a Labrador Retriever/German Shepherd mix (13 years). When both dogs passed away and I decided to buy property, every place I liked did not allow dogs. So I joined Rover (and Wag) in March 2019 initially just to walk dogs. I'm a full-time writer/editor and thought this would be a fun way to enjoy four-legged company and get some exercise, too. However, 101 dogs later (655 completed walks; 10 Rover dog boardings and sittings; and seven other dog company boardings and sittings), this has become my favorite gig. After more than a year, I finally convinced my condo association to allow dogs in the building in November 2019. I took a break from Rover after adopting my own dog on Juneteenth 2021, but I missed a few regulars so I decided to continue dog walks and dog drop-ins. We take three walks per day, with her often being a bossy tour guide, and I spend a considerable amount of time hoping she doesn't show me any dead wildlife (her favorite thing to do). A Hound mix is going to show off! I have cared for senior dogs, deaf dogs, blind dogs, dogs with oral medical needs, dogs with pacemakers and generally healthy dogs. I have fond stories to tell about all of the above, specifically the pacemaker dog (permanently in my top-five list).
