About: Hi, I’m Susan, a lifelong dog lover with over 40 years of experience caring for pups of all kinds and ages, from playful puppies to sweet seniors. I offer safe, loving in-home boarding and daycare for small breeds (typically 30 lbs and under), with a special affection for terriers. I provide a calm, cozy home environment where dogs are treated like family and receive lots of attention, affection, playtime, and walks. My Westie, Isla, is friendly, social, and loves having dog friends over—especially other small and medium-sized pups with gentle, playful personalities. While I primarily care for smaller dogs, I may accept select medium-sized dogs on a case-by-case basis depending on temperament, leash manners, and overall fit with Isla and my home environment. I currently offer boarding and daycare primarily Fridays through Mondays, with Thursday evening drop-offs available after 7:00 pm for longer weekend stays. This schedule allows me to provide focused, attentive care and maintain a relaxed environment for every dog in my home. Whether your pup is staying for a night, a long weekend, or recurring daycare visits, I’ll do everything I can to help them feel comfortable, happy, and loved while you’re away. Caring for dogs is a natural and joyful part of my daily life. Since I work from home, I have the flexibility to structure my day around the needs of the dogs in my care. My routine includes regular walks, indoor and outdoor play sessions, and lots of cuddle time. Whether we’re tossing a ball in the living room, enjoying a quiet break together, or following a familiar feeding schedule, I strive to make each dog feel safe, loved, and truly at home. Weekends follow the same routine, so your pup will enjoy a calm, consistent environment every day of the week. Your dog’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities. I provide a clean, secure, and pet-friendly home where every pup is treated like family. I closely supervise all interactions—especially during introductions—and keep the environment low-stress by hosting no more than one or two dogs at a time. My own dog, Isla, a friendly, well-socialized three-year-old West Highland Terrier, offers wonderful canine companionship and helps other dogs feel welcome. You can trust that your dog will be in attentive, experienced, and loving hands throughout their stay.
About: (They/them) I’m a huge animal lover and pro cuddler. I have lived around dogs for pretty much my whole life. I got my own dog when I was 10 and took care of him for many years. I took care of my most recent dog (shelter adopted!) for the past four years. I have taken dog training classes as well. I also have experience taking care of cats and currently care for my own cat. I will make sure to give lots of love and care to your fur babies! I also am a great pet photographer and will take many great photos of your pets during my stay that you can use as your phone background (literally have had a client do this before!). You can swipe through my photos to see! I have a regular 9-5 but I mostly work remotely so I tend to have a good amount of availability during the week and on the weekends. I can also stay overnight for house sitting if needed. Generally, I do sometimes have commitments that might leave me out of the house for 4-6 hours in a day so if your pet needs constant 24/7 care, I may not be the best fit. Each dog and cat is different so I don’t have a one-size-fits-all approach to sitting or walking. So, my approach is to make sure I have all the information possible on how your unique pet needs to be cared for. When I get a request, my first goal is to get to know your dog/cat and their personality and needs. I get to know what kind of attention they want (and don’t want), how they cope with stress, and how I can make them the most happy, comfortable, and safe with the resources at hand. Then, I do my best to care for them with that information. I want to care for them in exactly the same way you would or even better.
About: What sets me apart is my patience, reliability, and genuine love for animals. I’ve had dogs my entire life and grew up caring for them by feeding them, walking them, playing with them, and giving them lots of love and attention. I also worked with children for 7 years, which helped me develop strong responsibility, communication skills, patience, and the ability to stay calm and caring in different situations. I understand that every dog has a different personality and needs, and I always make sure they feel safe, comfortable, happy, and well cared for while you’re away. Pet care fits very well into my daily routine because I’m available throughout the day and enjoy spending time with animals. I’m flexible with walks, drop-in visits, feeding schedules, playtime, and giving pets attention and care. My schedule is open during the day until 3. Unfortunately if no response from pet owners ahead of walk etc I will not walk dog. I care for pets by making sure they feel safe, comfortable, loved, and well attended to at all times. In a client’s home, I follow their routine closely by providing walks, feeding, fresh water, playtime, attention, and any specific instructions requested by the owner. I also make sure pets get plenty of companionship and exercise while keeping their environment clean, calm, and stress free.
“Cathy was great and reliable! Super communicative and sent lots of photos. It was a great peace of mind that my pup was getting lots of love and attention while I was out.”

“Kayleigh has walked my dog Lyla several times. My dog usually barks and growls a lot when new people come into our home, but Kayleigh was so patient and respectful of her space. She provided detailed reports with pictures and took great care of our girl. Recommend her 100%!”

About: I was raised on a farm in Bloomington, Indiana where our family would own or foster upwards of 6 dogs at any given time, of all sizes and breeds. I am familiar with rescues requiring extra patience and understanding, service dogs, large dogs, and breeds that have unique instincts + needs, such as herding dogs. I have also been a cat owner for over two decades (no cats in my apartment currently) and work especially well with cats with attitude, or who are known to be finicky in temperament. I can adapt to whatever special needs your animal might have and ensure they have the best care possible. My schedule is free at the moment (with a few exceptions), so feel free to reach out to see if a day / time works. I may be limited in long distance dog walking and high intensity play between June 3rd to June 15th, but standard walks and light play or visits to dog parks are fine. I have a spacious apartment with lots of room for animals to roam or lounge. There is a back deck and narrow fenced in area behind the building for lounging. The area I am in (Andersonville) is very dog friendly and walkable. I would suggest bringing blankets, beds, toys, etc as I don't have these items in my space at the moment. I am home all day / night for caretaking and happy to spend as much time with them as they need. If your pet requires special attention, just let me know and I will ensure they receive it. I also provide pictures and regular updates!
“Jena is great. She handled our dog Darby in such an expert and gentle way. Darby clearly felt comfortable with her. She inspired confidence and communicated well. We will definitely wish to have her walk Darby again.”

About: I recognize how much love you have for your pet, and I am committed to giving them the care they deserve. I am patient, loving, and detail-oriented. I will reread your instructions twenty times to make sure I’m following everything to a T. That’s why I’m one Chicago couple’s go-to in-home sitter of 3 years. I used to only do private, word of mouth only for a handful of clients but now I’m on leave and have more availability I’m currently on leave from work, so I have a lot of flexibility with my time! I generally prefer to work afternoons, any day of the week. I will greet your pet enthusiastically (or with whatever their preferred greeting energy is). I will give them lots of pets, talk to them, and remind them that you’re coming back. I’ll send you at least a photo a day. On walks, I will speak calmly to them and gladly spend 15-30 minutes out with them.
About: I have had dogs my entire life and spent of much of my personal time learning about different breeds and pet care. I also volunteered at a shelter for four years and have experience grooming in a professional setting. I have dog sat for many families in the area and have experience with senior dogs, puppies, and special needs dogs, as well as cats. I am currenty working on an as needed basis and can set my own schedule, so I can plan my time around your babies' needs. I try to keep care and routine as similar as possible to your pet's typical day. I also try to give as much extra TLC as possible because I know your babies miss you and need some extra love!
“Josephine is the sweetest, this is my first time using the service and she helped me to make sure I was doing everything on my end correctly and Niko immediately took a liking to her as soon as them met. I would definitely rebook with her again! It was such a last minute request and I’m so thankful she was able to assis!”

“We have had Nicky walk our mutant Shih Tzu Goose for a bit while waiting for her to get off the daycare waitlist. She always sends lots of cute pics and relevant updates! Trustworthy and caring. Dealt with our slightly leash reactive pup and kept coming back so our little Goose could have consistency.”

“Kaira was super communicative, really quick to reply, great with my dog, and extremely nice and flexible when I accidentally booked the wrong dates. Really glad she is who we booked! Everything went great.”

Ryan was amazing with my dog, Oreo. He made sure Oreo was safe, was able to go to the bathroom, and spend a little extra time with him after the walk. He was amazing and I will book him again when I travel. Excellent and trustworthy person to watch and walk your fur babies.

Michelle was the absolute best with my girl Lou. She was communicative, timely, and sent lots of photos. She also was accompanying if I had sudden schedule changes. I could tell she took the time to earn my dog’s trust, and she was so excited to see Michelle each time. Would highly recommendb

Amelia has truly been the best dog walker! Always on time, if not a few minutes early, communicative, and lots of wonderful photos and detailed updates! Rango is always really excited to go on walks with her and returns home content with his adventures out with Amelia. Your friend will be in great hands with Amelia -we cannot cannot recommend her enough!

Madison is very sweet with our girl and super responsive. She has great communication with us and sends perfect updates and pics. She even helped us out when we had a last minute time change and a rain storm. We appreciate her very much and will confine to use her services.

Roxy is a dream! My senior dog was sick earlier in the week and needed some extra attention when Roxy walked him. Think extra food, medicine, walks, etc. Roxy handled the whole thing like a champ AND agreed to watch him on extremely short notice. 1000% would book again!
