From the very beginning, Megan was communicative, caring, and incredibly thoughtful. She sent multiple updates throughout the stay, which gave me so much peace of mind. It was clear how much attention and love she gave my dog. Megan’s consistency and genuine care made all the difference. “Ian was absolutely fantastic with Satchmo. He was very communicative throughout the stay, sent plenty of pictures, and made sure Satch was well taken care of the entire time. We will definitely be booking with him again.”

“This was our first time using DogVacay and we are blown away at the ease of using this service, but most importantly blown away with our experience with Darla + Greg. They responded quickly to our meet and greet request and once we met the hosts and their lovely dog, Shandy, we knew this was the best place for our Penelope to stay. The hosts were very accommodating to the special needs of our dog (i.e. medication) and sent us regular text/photo updates. We enjoyed our trip out of town immensely because we knew our pup was in good hands. They have great yard and space in their home. Penelope had a great time, and we were afraid she may not want to come home when we picked her up! We will definitely reach out to Darla + Greg again in the future. Thank you!”

Your dog will feel like it's their home when they are with me. Hope to see your dog soon. Have a great day! About this sitter: Love Animals! Why I love dog sitting Dogs have been in our home and a part of my life since I was a child. About my yard Yes, it is a small backyard. Several parks in the area for long walks. About: I grew up with a Golden Retriever and have always loved caring for dogs. I've watched pets for friends and family and regularly care for my sister's dog, who has anxiety. I'm a great companion for dogs who need a little extra attention and care. Your pupper is in great, loving hands! I work from home and have lots of time to play with your pupper, take them on walks, and give them the attention they deserve. My schedule is very flexible :) I work from home, so your dog will have plenty of supervision throughout the day. If your dog is crate-trained, I have space in my office for a crate if needed. My apartment has steep stairs, but I use a dog gate for added safety and take dogs out using the back stairs which are less steep and have more traction. Dogs are welcome in every room. There are no off-limits spaces!
“Tango spent a nice day with Sarah. He's a bit anxious but he settled in and seemed content when I picked him up. Sarah and walter are quick to respond to queries and clearly responsible sitters.”

About: Hi, I'm Sarah! I've been a trusted 5-star Rover sitter for nearly 10 years but dogs have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember! Now that I have a pup of my own, I understand just how important it is to find someone you can trust. While I love spending time with dogs, their safety and well-being always come first. Whether we're on a walk, at home, or around other dogs, I'm attentive to their individual needs and make thoughtful decisions to keep them safe and comfortable. I've cared for dogs of all personalities. From shy, fearful pups who need time to build trust, to reactive dogs who require patience and confidence, to happy-go-lucky companions who are just excited to make a new friend. Whether you're away for a weekend, a vacation, or just a night out, I'll treat your dog like they're one of my own and make sure you have peace of mind while you're away! I currently work a part-time full remote job so I am very flexible for timing. For boarding stays, that also means that someone is home 99% of the time! I have a spacious 1,400 sq. ft. apartment in a quiet, walkable neighborhood that's perfect for daily walks. My dog, Zinnia, is friendly, well-socialized, and great at reading other dogs' cues—she knows when to play and when to give space. All interactions are supervised and dogs are never left alone together. If your pup enjoys adventures, I'm happy to take them to the beach, dog park, or other outings with your approval. Zinnia also hates walks so if they require walks they will get me all to themselves!
“They took an amazing care of my lovely London on a last minute, they were always responsive and gently, also sent pictures because I was missing my dog so much 1000 stars for them! Will have in mind for a next service for sure!! And recommend 100%”

About: Hi there! My name is Nicky (he/they) and I’ve been taking care of pets for my neighbors, friends, and family members for upwards of a decade and am commonly regarded as the go-to sitter in my community. I strive to treat every pet (and owner) with the utmost respect and kindness, and I’ll follow your instructions to a T! (The T stands for toe beans 🤓) Currently unemployed due to layoffs in my industry, so I’ll be able to give your fur bestie as much attention as possible! I can do overnights, multiple nights in a row, or just a drop-in/walk; whatever you need - I got you! :) I have a fenced yard in front of my apartment complex so your fur bestie can run free and tire themselves out before beddybye! I can crate your pup if you provide one or they can get some shut-eye on the couch or wherever they’re comfy!
About: Hey there! If you're reading this that most likely means you are going on a trip. If this is vacation, Congrats! You've earned it! If you're headed on a work trip, well then I hope the food is good! Either way, I would love to look after your furry friend while you're gone! I have been looking after pups for about 8 years and have had dogs of my own. I am more than happy to send regular updates so you don't miss your friend too much. I currently work part-time and from home, therefore I will be around all day to check in on your pet and keep them entertained while you are gone. After working with a family member who is a professional dog trainer, I have learned how to care for dogs with various temperaments. I can care for a shy doggie and play with a high energy puppy. I am no stranger to the intricacies of doggie care and will not shy away from strict guidelines. I truly care for the health of animals and want to do the best we can to give your furry friend some well deserved love and exercise.
“This was the second time that Nancy watched Bentley for us, and the first time we ever repeated a sitter on Rover. It’s such a relief not to worry about Bentley and actually get to enjoy a nice day out.”

About: We are two dog-smitten people who, after adopting our own dog Olive a few years ago, have continued fostering dogs and volunteering through local shelters and are now sitting for Rover. We love meeting new dogs and showering them with love and attention while they’re in our home. We have a soft spot for seniors and have experience working with shyer/anxious dogs. I work from home and my partner has a flexible schedule, so there will almost always be someone around with your dog. We live in a duplex apartment with a small backyard and one block from a large park, where we walk nearly every day. We will update you with pics throughout your dog’s stay. Please bring whatever your dog needs to be comfortable—food, dog bed, special treats, sweaters or booties if cold weather, calming chews, etc. We take care that our dog and our guest get along well. Your dog will be the only guest in our home, alongside our resident dog. Our dog is mostly indifferent to other dogs but occasionally finds a playmate. We do feed dogs separately and place them in separate closed-door rooms when we leave. We’re happy to have the dogs meet for a short walk prior to booking.

About: (They/them) I’m a huge animal lover and pro cuddler. I have lived around dogs for pretty much my whole life. I got my own dog when I was 10 and took care of him for many years. I took care of my most recent dog (shelter adopted!) for the past four years. I have taken dog training classes as well. I also have experience taking care of cats and currently care for my own cat. I will make sure to give lots of love and care to your fur babies! I also am a great pet photographer and will take many great photos of your pets during my stay that you can use as your phone background (literally have had a client do this before!). You can swipe through my photos to see! I have a regular 9-5 but I mostly work remotely so I tend to have a good amount of availability during the week and on the weekends. I can also stay overnight for house sitting if needed. Generally, I do sometimes have commitments that might leave me out of the house for 4-6 hours in a day so if your pet needs constant 24/7 care, I may not be the best fit. Each dog and cat is different so I don’t have a one-size-fits-all approach to sitting or walking. So, my approach is to make sure I have all the information possible on how your unique pet needs to be cared for. When I get a request, my first goal is to get to know your dog/cat and their personality and needs. I get to know what kind of attention they want (and don’t want), how they cope with stress, and how I can make them the most happy, comfortable, and safe with the resources at hand. Then, I do my best to care for them with that information. I want to care for them in exactly the same way you would or even better.
“Anana was available last minute when I had an emergency trip and was a life saver! She was incredibly communicative, always kept us up to date with the walk card and pictures, and was wonderful for Tully while we were gone! We absolutely would recommend her for your pet car needs.”

“Ryan was absolutely fantastic to work with. He was very detailed on how his and Luna's walks went. He was very attentive to her and made sure she had plenty of play time and pets. I will definitely be booking walks with him in the future”

About: Hi, I’m Susan, a lifelong dog lover with over 40 years of experience caring for pups of all kinds and ages, from playful puppies to sweet seniors. I offer safe, loving in-home boarding and daycare for small breeds (typically 30 lbs and under), with a special affection for terriers. I provide a calm, cozy home environment where dogs are treated like family and receive lots of attention, affection, playtime, and walks. My Westie, Isla, is friendly, social, and loves having dog friends over—especially other small and medium-sized pups with gentle, playful personalities. While I primarily care for smaller dogs, I may accept select medium-sized dogs on a case-by-case basis depending on temperament, leash manners, and overall fit with Isla and my home environment. I currently offer boarding and daycare primarily Fridays through Mondays, with Thursday evening drop-offs available after 7:00 pm for longer weekend stays. This schedule allows me to provide focused, attentive care and maintain a relaxed environment for every dog in my home. Whether your pup is staying for a night, a long weekend, or recurring daycare visits, I’ll do everything I can to help them feel comfortable, happy, and loved while you’re away. Caring for dogs is a natural and joyful part of my daily life. Since I work from home, I have the flexibility to structure my day around the needs of the dogs in my care. My routine includes regular walks, indoor and outdoor play sessions, and lots of cuddle time. Whether we’re tossing a ball in the living room, enjoying a quiet break together, or following a familiar feeding schedule, I strive to make each dog feel safe, loved, and truly at home. Weekends follow the same routine, so your pup will enjoy a calm, consistent environment every day of the week. Your dog’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities. I provide a clean, secure, and pet-friendly home where every pup is treated like family. I closely supervise all interactions—especially during introductions—and keep the environment low-stress by hosting no more than one or two dogs at a time. My own dog, Isla, a friendly, well-socialized three-year-old West Highland Terrier, offers wonderful canine companionship and helps other dogs feel welcome. You can trust that your dog will be in attentive, experienced, and loving hands throughout their stay.
“Josephine is the sweetest, this is my first time using the service and she helped me to make sure I was doing everything on my end correctly and Niko immediately took a liking to her as soon as them met. I would definitely rebook with her again! It was such a last minute request and I’m so thankful she was able to assis!”

“Cathy has been wonderful with Murphy! He is a playful puppy and Cathy has been great at reinforcing the training I have started with him. She is reliable, friendly, and Murphy looks forward to her visits while I am at work!”

“Liz is amazing! This was the first time using a dog walker, and Liz exceeded our expectations. She left very detailed notes and took great care of our dog! Will Definitely book with her again :)”

“Kayleigh was very responsive and flexible. She was able effectively walk our stubborn dog Winston and provided great care for him on a hot day outdoors by making sure he drank water and took breaks. “Oliver is so gentle and kind-hearted! He's always on time, extremely flexible, and perfectly follows instructions. He makes it so easy to leave my dog in his care, and I have full confidence whenever she's with him that she's safe and happy. Her delighted reaction whenever he comes over to pick her up is the only 5⭐ review that anyone will ever need!”

“Jena is flexible and was able to accommodate a last minute work trip that popped up. She makes me feel at ease going into the office and traveling for work knowing she’s there to give my pup some exercise and attention.”

About: What sets me apart is my patience, reliability, and genuine love for animals. I’ve had dogs my entire life and grew up caring for them by feeding them, walking them, playing with them, and giving them lots of love and attention. I also worked with children for 7 years, which helped me develop strong responsibility, communication skills, patience, and the ability to stay calm and caring in different situations. I understand that every dog has a different personality and needs, and I always make sure they feel safe, comfortable, happy, and well cared for while you’re away. Pet care fits very well into my daily routine because I’m available throughout the day and enjoy spending time with animals. I’m flexible with walks, drop-in visits, feeding schedules, playtime, and giving pets attention and care. My schedule is open during the day until 3. Unfortunately if no response from pet owners ahead of walk etc I will not walk dog. I care for pets by making sure they feel safe, comfortable, loved, and well attended to at all times. In a client’s home, I follow their routine closely by providing walks, feeding, fresh water, playtime, attention, and any specific instructions requested by the owner. I also make sure pets get plenty of companionship and exercise while keeping their environment clean, calm, and stress free.
About: I have had dogs my entire life and spent of much of my personal time learning about different breeds and pet care. I also volunteered at a shelter for four years and have experience grooming in a professional setting. I have dog sat for many families in the area and have experience with senior dogs, puppies, and special needs dogs, as well as cats. I am currenty working on an as needed basis and can set my own schedule, so I can plan my time around your babies' needs. I try to keep care and routine as similar as possible to your pet's typical day. I also try to give as much extra TLC as possible because I know your babies miss you and need some extra love!
About: Love dogs and cats! I have always had a dog or a cat, sometimes more than one. My very first dog was Trixie and my grandpa accidentally left our gate open and we lost her. I think I’ve been trying to find her replacement my whole life! Right now I have a 9y/o high energy lab mix named Hercules and he loves to play but he’s reactive on a leash to other dogs in our building (he thinks he’s a sheriff) so he won’t be coming with us on walks. I'll treat your dog or cat like they are my own. If you tell me their little quirks and what they like or don’t like, I’ll be sure to pay attention to that. I work from home most of the time and spend a lot of time sitting at my computer. I’m trying to get 10,000 steps a day and my work schedule is flexible enough to take breaks for drop-ins to visit your cat or dog or walking your pup. I’m not taking boarders right now but I have in the past and I love learning about each pet’s personality and preferences. They are all fun to get to know.

“Marcos was wonderful. He has a fantastic backyard for the pups to play, and he took plenty of photos of my fur baby while I was away. Thank you Marcos!”

“Sharon was absolutely wonderful!! We will certainly reach out to her anytime we need someone to watch Betty in the future! She shared lots of updates and photos as well are really integrated our dog Betty into her family and routine which was so important to us!! When we picked Betty up we could tell she was so so happy and comfortable with Sharon and got lots of playtime and love! Sharon made sure there were plenty of walks, park and/outdoor time based on what is best for the dogs! For example one day is was very hot and she set up a pool in the backyard for Betty and her dog! I highly recommend Sharon especially if you have a dog like my Golden Retriever who would much rather be around other people and dogs than in a crate!”
