She is a German Shepherd/ Great Pyrenees Mix. She is the sweetest thing in the world but she has a lot of anxiety. She is in every single way the perfect dog. Chachi likes the big yard to roam around; he's older so he does not play but he still likes the opportunity to go free in the fenced in yard. Ian can well accommodate little ones, big ones and handicapped ones all together for a nice time to be had by all. Ian offers food on time and often, sets out clean full water (I know other places that do not set out water the whole day) and he accommodates each individual dog's needs.”

About: Hi! I’m Melissa, a 27-year-old social media coordinator working from home in Chicago. I’ve been pet sitting through Rover on and off since 2019, but I’ve been caring for dogs and cats for years before that as well. I’m very comfortable with pets of all personalities and always try to meet animals where they are, especially when it comes to affection, trust and personal space. I know every pet is different, and I never want them to feel pressured or uncomfortable. I have pets of my own, so I know how important it is to have someone you trust caring for them. I’ll always treat your pets with the same love, patience and respect I’d want for my own because they really are part of the family! I live right by Winnemac Park and would especially love to connect with families nearby for dog walks and cat check-ins. I work from home, so my schedule is pretty flexible throughout the week and I’m able to fit in walks and drop-in visits throughout the day. I live right by Winnemac Park, so I’m especially available for pets in the surrounding neighborhood and can usually accommodate morning, afternoon or evening visits depending on the day. I believe mutual respect between a person and an animal are super important for the relationship especially in the pet service care industry, so I make sure to pay close attention to that!

“Rico is an excellent dog sitter for our dog Snow. He is reliable, he sent us daily photos of Snow. We feel so comfortable leaving our dog in their care. Our dog feels at home with them. They have a well-maintained backyard that Snow can play and run around. Rico loves hanging out with our pet and takes extra time to show some love and cuddles. We highly recommend him.”
