I'm a dog lover through and through. I'm a busy grad student at Northwestern, so I can't have a dog of my own right now. Pet-sitting allows me to fulfill that desire for puppy cuddles when it fits my schedule! I have classes during the day and club activities at night, but lots of flexibility in my schedule to drive to pet sitting appointments.

I would prefer to take care of dogs in their homes and go for walks in their neighborhood rather than stay in my small studio apartment. This makes the dog feel safe in their space. I am dedicated towards making dogs feel comfortable with me by following their existing routines and spending as much time as I can with them.

A typical day
I love playing with dogs! We'll play with their toys, throw the ball around, and go on walks to get their energy out before the end of the day. I also am open to taking them to a dog park if you'd like me to.

Pet care experience
I'm attentive, detail-oriented, and generous with love and affection for all dogs I have the privilege to take care of. I have experience helping my family take care of our beloved dachshunds throughout my childhood (3 over the course of my life). I also have dog-sat for numerous families back when I lived in Minneapolis.

Alyson has watched our two dogs and cat on numerous occasions, and they all love her! Alyson does a wonderful job taking care of them by playing with them, walking them, and adhering to the schedule (like meals and potty breaks). She also provides updates (with photos) based on what we've requested. She's a great communicator and asks questions as needed. She was also our pup-attendant for our wedding where she watched the dogs during the ceremony & reception, got them ready for photographs, and made sure they got meals & potty breaks throughout the night. I highly recommend Alyson!!
Alyson is a dependable and detail-oriented pet sitter who will give your pets loving and attentive care! She takes great notes and will follow feeding and routine instructions exactly. She sends lots of photos of the pets which is really appreciated while away on a long trip! I would recommend Alyson to keep your pets safe and happy while away from home!
Your pet would be so incredibly lucky to be in Alyson’s care. She’s responsible, thoughtful, organized and affectionate. You couldn’t ask for better. She adores animals, is a skilled problem solver and you best believe that pet is going to be cuddled out by the time she leaves. Couldn’t recommend someone more!
