About: I’ve been working with animals since I was in high school and pursued a career in Veterinary Medicine up until I switched careers in grad school. I worked at the Philadelphia Zoo for 4 years, have trained service dogs in college, as well as cared for various domestic, farm and exotic animals. Although I switched careers, I’ve become the go to person for dog sitting and have been told by multiple people that I’m the only person they trust their family (pets) with and their dogs always come home with good spirits after spending time with me! As an entrepreneur my schedule is super flexible and I work from home most times, which means frequent potty breaks, monitoring and playtime. Although I’m not a trainer, I do practice positive reinforcement & soft skills if I have your pet for an extended period of time. I’m excited to get to know your pet! I’m a full time entrepreneur so I make my own schedule, have flexible work hours and work from home majority of the time. I’m also very active, so getting outside for long cardio, outside of potty breaks, is expected! The first thing I like to do when caring for pets is “dog-proofing” in the way someone would do for children. That means ensuring nothing of importance or anything that can be harmful to your pet is easily accessible. I also have a camera inside so I can check in if I have to step out.

“Karla surprised me in many ways. 1st surprise was that she arrived earlier than the agreed time, which was exactly what I needed because my plans changed slightly and I needed to leave earlier than the agreed time. 2nd, it turned out she is bilingual, just like my dog Pixie! She sent updates with pics twice per day and appeared to truly enjoy my dog. She left everything exactly as I have left my home. I would re-hire her in a heartbeat!”

About: I’ve always been intrigued with working with animals. In 6th grade, I joined this club called S.O. S. (save our strays) since then, I was infatuated with helping animals around the community. For as long as I remember, we’ve always fostered pets growing up and as I get older I realize the importance of having time and attention for these furr babies. I have a 3 year old german shepherd mix and her name is paisley! she is the sweetest girl I can ask for 🫶🏻 I am always learning more about pets everyday! I am primarily available for the weekends. during the week, I am working at my full time job. I am available during the week after 6pm and open availability for the weekends. I am huge in making sure the pet feels comfortable. Everyone takes care of their pets differently so I would start off with whatever the pet parents ask to do.
