About: I’ve grown up around dogs & cats my entire life and there is no job I would rather do than hangout with them all day. I pride myself on being attentive to the pets I watch as well as being communicative with the owners. I am currently home from college for the summer so I have nothing but free time. Feel free to turn to me for last minute bookings due to my wide open schedule. I love going on walks as a way to get both your pet’s exercise as well as mine. But most importantly I provide attention, safety, and comfortability for pets.
About: I have personally cared for dogs for over 30 years. We are a family of five who enjoyed having two dogs in our home for over five years. Due to a recent relocation, we had to rehome them. Our kids truly miss having dogs and would love to care for yours with walks, playtime, affection, and plenty of rest, making sure they feel safe and comfortable while in our care. Pet care fits very naturally into our daily and weekly routine. I work from home three days a week, and my wife, Shannon, is home full time as a stay at home mom. Our kids are home from school in the afternoons, so there is almost always someone present to give attention, supervision, and care. We are all available throughout the weekends, which allows for plenty of time for walks, play, and companionship. We are very careful, detail oriented, and affectionate in how we care for pets, whether in our home or a client’s home. We follow routines closely, pay attention to each dog’s personality and comfort level, and prioritize safety at all times. We know what it feels like to trust our own dogs to others through Rover, and we take that responsibility seriously. Our goal is for every dog in our care to feel safe, loved, well exercised, and able to rest comfortably.
“Marleen did such an amazing job! This was our first time using Rover and we were worried about having someone else look after our two cats, but it worked out so beautifully. She kept us updated every day, took pictures of our two babies, and was nice enough to bring in our trash can and a package that had been delivered for us. In addition, it was so easy and quick to get ahold of her for anything we may have needed. We will absolutely be using her in the future for our cats. Don't hesitate to book with her if you need someone!”

“Daniel was fantastic! This was the first time we’ve used Rover and we couldn’t have been happier with the results. 10/10 will be contacting Daniel again when we are in need of a sitter.”

About: I’ve been pet and house sitting for over 15 years, starting with family friends, track coaches, and their networks, which naturally grew into caring for their clients’ homes and pets as well. Most of my work has come through referrals, which I take as a huge compliment and reflection of the trust I build with both pets and their owners. I’m experienced with cats and dogs of all sizes, temperaments, and energy levels. I’m also comfortable maintaining routines, administering basic medications, and providing a calm, consistent environment while you’re away. What sets me apart is the level of care and respect I bring into your home. I’m reliable, communicative, and genuinely attentive to each pet’s personality and needs. I aim to make your pet feel safe, loved, and as comfortable as possible so you can travel or work without stress. I work full-time remotely with a very flexible schedule, which allows me to easily incorporate pet care into my daily routine. Because I’m home throughout the day, I’m able to provide consistent attention, regular potty breaks, walks, and companionship rather than leaving pets alone for long periods. My flexibility also means I can adapt to your pet’s specific schedule, whether that’s early morning walks, midday check-ins, or evening routines. When I’m house sitting, or visiting for a shorter time, my goal is to keep your pet’s routine and environment as consistent and stress-free as possible. I take the responsibility of being in your home very seriously. I’m respectful, clean, and treat your space with the same care I would my own. I’m attentive to details like locking doors, maintaining a safe environment, and following any specific instructions you provide. I’m also happy to help with small household tasks like bringing in mail, watering plants, and keeping your home in order so you can return to everything just as you left it. Communication is important to me, so I provide regular updates and photos to give you peace of mind while you’re away.
“Rachel was amazing! I had a very short notice trip and she made it so easy! My dogs loved her. Even my husky that’s afraid of everyone. The husky trusted her and Rachel made all of the dogs feel at home. Really happy I came across Rachel and will definitely book her again if possible!”

I am currently waiting for college enrollment. As I prepare for college, I have a lot of free time and a flexible schedule to dedicate to caring for pets. About: I have had my miniature poodle for about 3 years and she is amazing. We do just about everything together. She my little best friend. I work from home full-time, so pets are never left alone. Dolce and I start our day around 6:00am with a potty break and breakfast. I take her out every four hours, and we go on walks when the weather is nice. She’s well-socialized, loves company, and is very gentle with other pets. Having a steady routine means your pet will get consistent care and attention throughout the entire day. I have a fenced backyard for safe outdoor time. Dolce is a calm, mellow house dog who spends most of her day relaxing near me while I work. She’s friendly and enjoys having visitors around. Pets in my home get a peaceful environment, plenty of supervision, and lots of affection. I treat every animal like my own and ensure they feel comfortable, secure, and loved here.
About: Animals are part of my life; from rabbits to horses and ducks to dogs. Currently, I live with a quirky, dapper, gentleman dog; and beautiful, liberated, lady cat. They have a great, lovingly antagonistic sibling relationship. My son's dog has epilepsy and some separation anxiety that requires extra gentle support at times. Our cat has an independent, outdoor space that doesn't affect my dander allergy. I am able to provide drop in care for cat(s) to service food, water and litter. I enjoy discovering each personality and developing a rapport. Please use this Promo Code for a discount on your first booking: BONNIH20661 I am available during the week for drop ins while going to school and working on independent projects. Ideally, I am available for housesitting and to keep your pet (and plants?) company and cared for in their familiar environment. I am respectful, detail oriented and have several years of experience with pets and household. Please disclose all special needs, habits and behaviors that I can expect from your pet so that I can be prepared to provide excellent care. Hope to meet with you and your pet at a Meet & Greet!

A fun fact about me is that I am an Air Force veteran, so I am responsible and reliable!! “Our dog Lucy doesn't love strangers, and we weren't sure how things would go. Kayla was very willing to come meet Lucy twice, prior to our trip, and to work with us to make things as comfortable as possible for her. Kayla respected Lucy's boundaries and didn't push her. We're very thankful to Kayla for her willingness to check in on and look out for Lucy so that she could stay in her home, and we could travel to Mexico. This wasn't an easy assignment, and Kayla did a great job!”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
