“Noel did a great job taking care of Daphne making my trip possible. Very good with communicating and pictures. Kept her busy with games and walks. Hoping she will be available for future stays!”

About: I have never had any issues with taking care of dogs. Always making sure if they need medication it’s on time and always giving them lots of love and play time. I have 2 dogs of my own and I treat them like puppies even though they are older and I’m always checking up on them on every little thing. The most so far I have watched is 4 dogs at a time. :) I am currently in college right now I have classes Monday through Thursday from 9:00-1:20. I also work at Taco Bell on Thursday and Friday. But it’s usually only 4-5 hours as I am focused on pet sitting right now. :) Right now I do not offer boarding as I still live with my parents and have 2 dogs. So the services I am able to offer are daytime, overnight sitting, walks and check ins like potty breaks and playtime. But like I said I treat my own dogs like they’re puppies and I will do the same for your dogs sometimes I play with my dogs too much I get distracted from what I actually need to do lol.
“Kyla room excellent care of our pup. She sent pictures regularly to keep us updated. She also was very respectful of our place and cleaned up after herself. We will definitely use her again in the future. Thanks.”

About: We are devoted dog enthusiasts! Having grown up with dogs and many other pets, we welcome your dog as family and care for them as we would our own. Our charming pugs greet all dogs and love playing together in our enclosed yard, reached through a pet door. We understand both puppies and older dogs—one of our pugs is 15 years old, and we’ve nurtured our companions since infancy. We both work from home so all dogs will have ongoing attention day in/day out. Our pugs are allowed on our furniture, but I will abide with guests' home rules, so no bad behaviors will be learned, but will be spoiled with walks, treats and plenty of love and attention. We are happy to have a meet and greet prior to boarding for added peace-of-mind for dog parents. While with us, your fur babies will be treated like they are part of our family.
“Sarah is just the sweetest thing! So attentive our fur babies loved her! Very communicative and sent pictures often which we love. Can’t wait to have her dog/cat sit again.❤️ we would highly recommend her!”

About: What sets me apart is a lifetime of hands-on experience and a genuine bond with dogs. While I haven’t worked as a professional dog sitter before, I’ve been caring for dogs since I was seven years old. I’m now 32, and throughout my life, I’ve had a Maltese, an English Setter, and a Gordon Setter. My setters were hunting dogs, so I’m comfortable with energetic, intelligent breeds that need both physical exercise and mental stimulation. I’ve trained them in basic obedience, manners, and recall, and I understand the importance of consistency, patience, and clear boundaries. I’ve cared for both small and large dogs, and I’m experienced with feeding, walking, bathing, playtime, and making sure they feel safe, calm, and loved. I can also teach simple commands and fun tricks like sit, stay, lie down, roll over, spin, and shake. I am a Spanish woman who moved to Folsom with my husband a year ago. I am a great animal lover and I have had dogs since I was little. In my childhood, I lived with two setters: an English setter and a Gordon setter, and a Maltese bichon. This has given me experience with both large and small dogs. Now, although we cannot have one of our own, I would love to care for others, as I greatly enjoy their company. My daily routine is flexible, and I have full availability to adapt to the needs of clients and their pets. I fully adapt to each pet’s needs. I am very attentive and will always ensure the dog has food, water, and is comfortable. If I notice something is wrong, I address it immediately. I handle walks carefully, avoiding direct sun, and if bathing is needed, I do so with experience, using proper shampoos and conditioners, especially for long coats. I can also brush them. If a vet visit is required, I will take care of it. Additionally, I love playing with dogs and making sure they feel calm and happy when their owners are away. In short, I handle all the care a dog needs with attention and affection.
“Lily is amazing! Extremely conscientious, followed all instructions to a T, great communication and sent so many photos. And most importantly, the pups loved her. So happy to have found Lily!”

“Meredith took great care of our two clingy pugs, during the middle of our kitchen remodel! We got home to happy dogs, and the sheets and towels from her stay laundered. Will definitely ask her to stay with our girls again!”

“This was our very first time using Rover and having a house sitter, so we were a little nervous but our experience with Claudia blew all those concerns away! She was super communicative, punctual, and kept us in the loop while we were away. We are so happy we found her and thankful that she took great care of Finn and our home!”

“Kayla is wonderful! She is a great communicator and asks appropriate questions. She did great caring for our two senior dogs. We are looking forward to our next trip so Kayla can come again!”

About: I will give your dog lots of attention, scratch his favorite places, play with him with his/her favorite toys and of course take him on walks. Depending on the dog I would hope to play fetch and run around with him, or if he's used to being in the house then we will just lounge around. I had my own dog when I was younger, we used to play fetch and play his and seek a lot. I understand that not all dogs are the same. I will heed your words carefully and follow them to the letter. You are the dog's mother/father so if anyone knows what should be done it would be you. I will also add grooming if you have any brush or shampoo, let me know. I am currently working part time and doing excersice to stay in shape. So incorporating a dog walk is a great way to exercise with company. I am an uncle to an Austrian cattle dog and a pit bull. They are both energetic and they jump and softly bite me sometimes, so please don't worry if your dog is a jumper or biter. I will always listen to owners instructions since they know their dogs best.
“Aubrey was great!! She was very quick to message me back, was able to meet ahead of time so my dogs could get comfortable with her, and let me know her work hours (that could possibly affect her stay) right away. She kept constant communication with me and sent me plenty of pictures. Aubrey was respectful of our house and even asked to clean some things, who could say no to that!? My pups were so happy when I came home and I know they were well taken care of. I am pretty picky about who I let watch my dogs and I searched through a lot of different Rover profiles, and I’m so happy I found Aubrey! Would absolutely book her again if/when we need another dog sitter!”

“Kaeli did a wonderful job with our fur babies!!! She provided many updates as we mentioned we loved photos and message updates, she gave our dogs great walks and took excellent care of our home! We wanted an honest person with a heart for dogs and this is certainly Kaeli!! We will absolutely be using her again!”

“⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Alexandra was absolutely wonderful with our two doggies, Olivia and Ollivander! Olivia is still a puppy and definitely requires some extra attention, patience, and care, and Alexandra handled her beautifully. She was equally attentive and loving with Ollivander, making sure both of them felt comfortable, happy, and cared for while we were away. She followed all of their routines and instructions carefully, kept us updated, and gave us so much peace of mind knowing our babies were in such good hands. We came home to two happy, relaxed doggies, which says everything! We are so grateful to have found Alexandra and would absolutely trust her with Olivia and Ollivander again. She will definitely be our first choice whenever we need someone to care for them. Highly, highly recommend her! 🐾❤️”

About: Every pup is one-of-a-kind! I love getting to know their playful personalities, favorite belly rubs, and treat preferences. Need a special meal or medication? No problem! My goal is to make your furry friend feel right at home, whether it's bedtime snuggles or playtime in the park. Go enjoy your vacation with peace of paw! I'll send you pictures and updates, so you can see those happy tail wags from miles away. I work from home most of the business week. I wake up and first thing I do is take care of my dogs needs then my own. 😂. I take pride in being a responsible pet owner. I do this to provide affordable pet care and access to affordable pet sitting options to working families in the Sacramento County . My wife helps out as well. We both do this together to make sure your fury family member is always supervised. Attention to detail. Understand dog needs and characteristics to each individual dog. Try to cater to their needs and see how I can make them feel comfortable.
“Amazing, start to finish! Leo's communication with me was thorough and professional, and his time with Vivi was so caring and loving. As an older pup, she just needs lots of love, attention, and a few walks...and Leo goes above and beyond to accommodate her. He absolutely loves animals and it shows! Leo is my #1 go-to pet caregiver. Thank you, Leo!”

“Danielle was really friendly and knowledgeable my Gunner took to her quickly and was really happy when she came back after her meet and greet he also slept really well that night so I know she kept him busy playing”

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Rancho Murieta walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Rancho Murieta maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Rancho Murieta choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
