“Thank you so much Alexandra for the help with our fur babies. She took care of our 2 crazy frenchies and a grumpy ole cat while we visited our grandkids. She sent pictures to us and when we check in on the cameras they were happy to see her. I would highly recommend Alexandra for your pet needs. :)”

About: Since I was a teen, I've always been the go-to person asked to pet sit for people when they went on vacation. I've done it for 10+ years. I recently graduated from law school in May, and I am currently studying for the BAR. I would love to make some money on the side, caring for your special guys and girls! Currently, I have full availability because my sole focus is studying for the BAR. So I can make myself available at any time day or night! I love animals, and I recognize how much they crave attention, especially when they're missing their owner. I would love to provide that necessary attention in your absence. I will make sure that your place is the same as it was when I got there. With a fresh litter box cleaning for cats.
“Lauren was great and we’ll definitely work with her again. Her communication was excellent and thorough, and she was able to quickly develop a relationship with our cat. Lauren followed directions to the T, and made recommendations on things I hadn’t thought about. Lauren gave us peace of mind and I highly recommend her!”

“Karson was great with Pippa! There was a bad storm while we were out of town, and she made sure our girl who gets very anxious during thunderstorms, was cared for and felt comfortable.”

“Becky was incredibly patient with our shy girl. She was very communicative and sent us daily pictures! Although our sweet tabby didn't venture out, Becky made us feel incredibly grateful we had someone looking out for our Lola. 5 of 5 stars for Becky as our 1st time cat sitter. We will definitely reach out to her again!”

“Denise did an amazing job making my skittish kitty feel comfortable!! I feel that she really has a heart for animals and put in the extra effort to make her feel safe.”

“Courtney was willing to check in our our girls with little notice and did a phenomenal job. My pets were loved and cared for and she sent great updates. We will definitely be booking with her again!”

“Traci did a great job on a drop-in visit for our puppy Albus. She fed him, made sure he went to the bathroom, and went the extra mile by playing fetch with him. He looked so happy in the pictures she sent. Definitely recommend Traci’s services!”

“Melissa was absolutely incredible!!! My three large boys can be extremely overwhelming at times and very intense, though they are absolute love bugs! Melissa was absolutely incredible with them!! Not only did she take care of them excellently, she spoiled them rotten! Melissa also took on checking on our cats while loving on the boys! I would recommend Melissa to anyone! Her kindness, honesty and respect was beyond anything I could’ve asked for! I would absolutely have Melissa sit the boys again!!! She has made this experience so wonderful!”

About: If you’re looking for someone to adore your pet and build special trust with them then I am here! I am a lifelong animal lover. I have cared for close friends’ animals for years, as well as housesat for coworkers. I currently have one cat who has been with me for 8 years. My former roommate has an Australian cattle dog and I would often take care of him when she was gone! I also frequently house and dogsat for another friend with a lovely black lab mix and energetic dachshund. Plenty of experience taking care of cats as well. No matter the situation I look forward to meeting your babies and putting your worries at ease while you’re away I am working part time in healthcare Monday, Wednesday and Friday. I work 9-6 pm and am available for early morning and evening walks and check ins. On my off days I will be dedicated to your babies and would enjoy getting outside with them too! I am happy to care for them in your home where they feel most comfortable! I am unable to house any additional pets in my home at this time
“Sandy was great! She did check ins with our big dogs and an overnight boarding with our baby dog. Sandy's dog cupcake got along so well with my dog. I would definitely recommend her to be anyone's dog sitter!”

“This was our first time using Helena and she exceeded our expectations. She came and visited our Kitty beforehand and Kitty loved her right away. We will definitely use again!”

“Anna took such great care of my cat Doug. She was always quick to reply to messages in the app, easy to work with, and best of all I could tell Doug (who is normally shy) was loving having her around. The pics she sent showed just how comfortable he was around her. Will definitely be booking her again!”

“Hayley did an awesome job! After her first drop in visit I knew the dogs were being taken care of and loved. She sat outside with them when the temps were in the teens, she hand fed our picky eater, and gave every dog some loving.”

“Crystal is a wonderful cat sitter—reliable, communicative, and genuinely caring. She followed instructions carefully, sent regular updates, and our cat was calm and happy when we returned. Highly recommend.”

Five stars aren't enough! Denise always goes above and beyond and is my absolute go-to sitter. We recently left her with our brand-new puppy (plus our others) while we were completely off the grid with no cell service. She handled everything flawlessly/gave us total peace of mind. Highest recommendation!

Alexandra was wonderful with Queen. She was communicative, punctual, followed instructions carefully, and asked thoughtful questions. Giving fluids solo is not easy, and she handled it confidently while keeping me updated with photos. Queen seemed relaxed and well cared for. I would definitely book Alexandra again.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Powell. On Rover:
- 93% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
