“Colby was great. He was able to help us out at the last second with two drop in visits. Colby was prompt, friendly, and took great care of our pup. She was a happy doggo when we arrived home. The play pics let us know Dottie was in good hands. Definitely recommend.”

“So grateful to Eric for agreeing to drop in on Savannah last minute! She appreciated the crate break while I was on a day trip without her. Eric was quick to respond to my messages and very attentive to my child ☺️”

About: If you’re looking for someone to adore your pet and build special trust with them then I am here! I am a lifelong animal lover. I have cared for close friends’ animals for years, as well as housesat for coworkers. I currently have one cat who has been with me for 8 years. My former roommate has an Australian cattle dog and I would often take care of him when she was gone! I also frequently house and dogsat for another friend with a lovely black lab mix and energetic dachshund. Plenty of experience taking care of cats as well. No matter the situation I look forward to meeting your babies and putting your worries at ease while you’re away I am working part time in healthcare Monday, Wednesday and Friday. I work 9-6 pm and am available for early morning and evening walks and check ins. On my off days I will be dedicated to your babies and would enjoy getting outside with them too! I am happy to care for them in your home where they feel most comfortable! I am unable to house any additional pets in my home at this time
“Elle was great! She was there on time and in 30 minutes she gave our guy lunch, took him for a quick walk, and just chilled with him for a few. Tek was happy when we got home. Will definitely book again.”

“Lillian was great with Dyson and kept us updated on each visit. She was so patient and kind. Dyson can be difficult with strangers but she was adaptable to make sure his needs were met and make each check-in add low stress as possible. This was our first time leaving him and we were nervous, but she really set our minds at ease with her great communication and updates. 10 out of 10 - would highly recommend!”

About: Hi, I am new to Knoxville and looking for new clients! I love hanging out with dogs and would be happy to give them love while you are away. I am detail-oriented and will follow your directions to a tee. I also love snapping cute pics of your pet to keep you updated! I am a big animal lover! I have helped care for family members pets my whole life. I am a recent graduate of the University of Kentucky. During undergrad, I fostered dogs and volunteered through the Lexington Humane Society. This work was so fulfilling and allowed me to provide shelter dogs with socialization and get them adopted! I would love to hang out with your furry friend(s) while you are away! I recently moved to Knoxville to start my Masters program at the University of Tennessee in August. I have classes at night Monday-Thursday and will be working 4 hours a day Monday-Friday, so I have flexibility to care for your pet(s)! Through my time with the Lexington Humane Society, I completed trainings that covered dog behavior, body language, socialization, basic training, and basic health info. This knowledge helps me provide the best support while I am working with dogs of all sizes, breeds, and behaviors.

“I cannot say enough good things about Ava as our dog walker. She walks my pitbull, Giovanni, and my Frenchie, Jerry, and is so gentle, patient, and calm with them, which means everything to me. Ava is incredibly reliable, always on time, and treats Giovanni and Jerry like her own. I love the updates I get after walks, and I always feel like they are safe and well cared for when they’re with her. Both dogs are happier, calmer, and get so excited every time Ava shows up. If you’re looking for someone you can completely trust with your dogs—especially strong breeds—Ava is the best!”

“Wonderful pet (cat) sitter! Olive was very comfortable with Olivia. Maybe too comfortable bossing her around begging for treats and scratches. 😹 Great communication and pics/videos sent to us too! Will book again. 👍🏻”

“This was our first time using Helena and she exceeded our expectations. She came and visited our Kitty beforehand and Kitty loved her right away. We will definitely use again!”

“Lauryn was very communicative & intentional with making sure Laika got what she needed. We were able to relax & enjoy our visit away knowing our pet was in good hands.”

“Veronica was an absolutely wonderful cat sitter, and I can’t recommend her enough! She took such great care of my cat while I was away, making sure everything was clean, comfortable, and stress-free. It was clear she genuinely cares about animals—she spent quality time giving attention and affection, not just stopping in to feed and leave. I really appreciated her communication as well. She kept me updated with messages and photos, which gave me so much peace of mind knowing my cat was happy and in good hands. When I came home, everything was exactly as it should be, and my cat was relaxed and well cared for. If you’re looking for someone reliable, trustworthy, and truly compassionate with animals, Veronica is the one. I will definitely be using her again!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Powell
She takes a ton of pictures and follows instructions exactly. She takes care of our dogs plus the added benefit of seeing our dogs have fun and be relaxed with her. It was a last minute request which she eagerly honored and we are so grateful that someone could check on our pups while we were away. It was such a last minute need (we stayed at the aquarium too long and needed someone to check on them the same day) and she fulfilled all our needs as well as went over the top to make sure we were informed of the care. I will be booking again if needed!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
