About: I normally take my neighbor’s dogs on walks and I keep them engage in the walks by introducing them to new locations! I also volunteer at the Knoxville Humane Society and participate in taking dogs on walks as well as reading to them for human exposure and enrichment. I am a college student at UTK but I only have classes two days a week so I should be able to work around what you and your pup needs! I provide loving, attentive care, follow each pet’s routine, offer fresh food and water, maintain cleanliness, provide exercise, and of course, give plenty of affection.
“I came home to a cat who was not super stir crazy! Taylor took care of everything I needed and gave Valentine lots of playtime and attention. Thank you, Taylor!”

About: Outdoor enthusiast, runner, & a big fan of dogs. I’ve taken care of pets since before I can remember. I just adopted a new puppy a year and a half ago and was refreshed on what they need in their younger years. Would love to meet more furry buddies & can’t wait to love yours! I am currently taking a work hiatus the next few months, so I’m as free as a bird to spend the most time with your pups! Happy to keep pets in their safest environments, ie fenced yard or crate. If you want them out and about, I am extremely cognizant of reactive dogs and will be happy to take them for nice long walks :)
“Kathleen has been the best looking after my puppy. She's always on time and goes the extra effort to send me updates with pics after each visit, which is greatly appreciated since it's helped document my puppy's growth. (She is a great photographer!) It's tough being away from my pup and to have someone I can trust to look after him...but Kathleen has been the best. Kathleen has made it so I don't have to worry. Worth it! Thank you, Kathleen. We are going to miss you!”

“Helena took amazing care of my senior kitty (Marcy) while I was away for two weeks. It was the longest I’d ever left her so I was nervous, especially considering her age and medication requirements. Helena sent pictures and video updates daily—it was clear Marcy was comfortable around her and enjoyed the company. Helena was responsive and kind throughout the whole process. Highly recommend!”

About: I have grown up surrounded by animals my whole life. My parents have 4 dogs and 2 cats, and I have helped care for them in all phases of life. I now have a dog of my own, Banjo, who is 1 year old and so spoiled. I truly just love pets and will treat your animals as if they are my own! I am open to caring for pets of all sizes and ages! I work Monday through Thursday, so my schedule those days is not very flexible. However, I am off Friday through Sunday and am available those days! I know leaving your pet in someone else’s care can be intimidating, but I promise I will care for your animal like it’s my own and give it all the attention and love it deserves. I will send as many (or as few) pictures as you need to know that your baby is in good hands!

Please reach out with your questions As a current dental student, I wake up early and can get your furry friends outside for a walk. I come home for lunch everyday at 12 and let them get some steps in. I’m back home for the night around 5pm and spend the rest of the night with them I have an accessible, pet-friendly apartment with no other animals. I can walk them around for all the sniffs and secure them back in my unit.
About: I’ve had my own pets and taken care of others throughout my life. I am familiar with dogs, cats and small animals! I will make sure that your companion has everything they need as well as lots of affection and play time. Capable of providing senior care, but no experience administering medication. I am currently working part-time Wednesday through Friday. I am completely unavailable those days except a morning/night check-in. Saturday-Tuesday I have an open schedule and can be on property as long as needed. Not only will I take care of your fuzzy friend exactly how they need, I am also a great house guest and will ensure your home is in the same condition when you arrive back. I will alert you to anything that may seem wrong on the property and will take care of any pet related messes.
“Jessi is absolutely wonderful and took incredible care of our pack while we were away! We could tell from regular updates with adorable photos they were being well cared for and loved. It was such a relief knowing our fur babies were in such capable and caring hands. If you’re looking for someone reliable, responsible, and truly passionate about animals, Jessi is the best, and we’ll definitely be booking them again. Highly recommend!”

“Claire was an amazing sitter! She kept me updated the entire time and was quick to problem solve when my high maintenance cat threw some curve balls. She cared for her just like we would and I got to enjoy my weekend because I knew she was in good hands. We will definitely use her again in the future!”

“Stephanie was great, all my animals loved her- even my pit-bull mastiff who can be weird with people took to her right away. And I have a very shy cat who hides and comes out for no one, but she came out of hiding for Stephanie, which says a lot. I was able to enjoy my trip out of town and not worry about them. She sent updates and pictures and I hope to have her drop in again when I need it. She's very likable, has good energy, is trustworthy, and was on time every time. Highly recommend.”

About: Hi! I’m a former vet tech who loves caring for dogs of all kinds. Since I work from home most of the week, I have lots of flexibility for long walks, quick potty breaks, dog-park fetch sessions, or trips around town. I’m currently without my own dog, so I can’t wait to enjoy some quality companionship with yours! Especially love the big, older dogs but I’m also happy to help with younger pups! I work from home part of the week and I am home during the weekends so I’m happy to spend lots of quality time with your furry friend! I also have neighbors who work from home so if there’s ever anything needed when I am at the office, there will always be help available. In my home, depending on what you do at your home, I am happy to have the dog in a crate or free range. I also have a large patio so we can enjoy some sunshine time together as well. My complex does have a dog park and we live next to a walking trail so outside time will not be an issue however if your dog loves just snuggling and staying indoors. I am fine with that vibe as well.

About: I’ve loved dogs my whole life and have been caring for my own for over 11 years now! Over the years I’ve gained lots of experience with walking, feeding, and playing with dogs. I’m patient, responsible, and genuinely love spending time with animals. I am a sophomore student at the University of Tennessee Knoxville with most of my classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays! Other than those days my availability is flexible! I am happy to care for your pets in both your home and mine! I will follow any specific routines or instructions that you provide!
“Isabella did a lovely job taking care of our kitties! The highlight of our evening was getting the photos and videos when we were away. Will definitely rebook her again:)”

About: I have always grown up with dogs, since I was a young child I have shared the responsibilities of caring for a family dog. We have always had Bernese Mountain Dogs, so I am particularly adept at caring for active, very large dogs. Growing up I always cared for friend's, family's, and neighbors dogs while they were away on trips, or busy with work. This gave me the ability to care for a diverse profile of dogs with diverse, individualized needs. I am responsible and will closely follow the instructions left to provide your animal with the care it requires. While my experience is primarily with dogs, I also have experience caring for cats for my friends and family as well. In addition to providing your pet with high-quality care, I will also ensure that it feels secure, safe, and loved, even in your temporary absence. I have experience with dogs with high- anxiety, specifically separation anxiety, and I know how to calm your pet in these scenarios. Being apart from your furry loved one can be a time of anxiety for both you and your pet, but I will be sure to provide exceptional care to ease the anxieties of all involved. Overall, I am extremely loving, caring, and responsible, and feel I am an excellent choice to care for your pet. I am currently a Physician Assistant student, so I am busy during most of the day from 8-4, however I have breaks and can stop by to let your dog out or have a romp with them if needed. Other than that, my evenings, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays are entirely open, allowing me to dedicate much attention to your pet! I will be sure to accurately and closely follow all instructions that you leave regarding your pets care. I am comfortable with crating dogs if that is your desire. I am also quite adept at "pet proofing' your or my home before leaving, to ensure there is no trouble your animal could get into. My home has a fenced in yard and one very friendly Bernese Mountain Dog, though I could make arrangements for him to reside elsewhere during your pets stay if that is your desire.
“Kris and Cindy did a great job looking after our two dogs and cat while we were out of town for a week! Our pets really enjoyed the frequent check-ins and love, and looked so happy in every photo update we got. We even had to extend an extra day last minute and Kris and Cindy were super-accommodating. We can't recommend them enough!”

Rebecca was an absolute life saver and amazing watching our dog while we were gone for a week! She jumped in last moment when our original sitter cancelled and had our little one in great hands. She is very communicative, a quick responder, and we really appreciated the full updates and numerous pictures with each check in. Would hire her again in a heartbeat!

I wish I could leave a 10-star review! Helena is professional, responsive, and very helpful. My senior long-haired dachshund loves her. It's obvious that Helena is passionate about animals and providing exceptional care for pets and clients. I highly recommend Helena!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
To find sitters in Knoxville with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.
