“I’m so glad that I found Lauren! She was amazing in taking care of my two fur babies. This was my first time using Rover, and I was somewhat nervous in leaving them with a stranger. That nervousness disappeared very quickly when Lauren communicated to me on a daily basis by sending pictures and/or videos as to how they were doing. They were exhausted when I brought them home so I know they had a great time. Knowing that they were being very well taken care of was such a relief. I will definitely be a return customer and highly recommend Lauren for your pet sitting needs!!”

“What a pleasant experience! This was our first time boarding our cat Clovis. Devin and Delisa were the best! Clovis got the best care and I got the best feedback while away! I super recommend them and will be booking with them next time for sure! Thank you so much!”

About: I have hands on experience caring for dogs of all sizes and breeds through my work at a busy doggy daycare. I’m skilled in feeding, walking, administering medications, and providing plenty of love and attention. I understand dog behavior and safety, and I make sure every pet I care for feels happy, comfortable, and secure. From playtime and exercise to cuddles and companionship, I treat every dog like part of my own family. I’m an animal science major at UTK and a doggy daycare worker. I always have time for pups! I will make sure my availability is always up to date for you! Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I live in a secure apartment with a cozy space for indoor play and rest, and while my yard isn’t fenced, there’s a safe, dog-friendly park just around the corner for walks and exercise. I provide a supervised, clean, and loving environment at all times, ensuring your dog feels happy, secure, and part of the family while in my care.
“Ashley was amazing! Kept me well informed on how my little girl was doing on her first stay away from home and provided me the peace of mind in knowing I'd made the right choice. I highly recommend her and will definitely use in the future!”

“On very short notice, because of an emergency change of plans, we needed a dawg sitter. Nicole & Dexter P. were our choice by default. They were the closest. We knew nothing about them. I contacted them, hoping against hope, that with only a day’s notice , they would be able to take our puppy. Millie is 3 years old, but in our minds, still a puppy. If you live your dog, you understand! They came through for us!!! Good communications and stayed in touch with us while we were gone. Sent pictures. Let us pick her up early, since the wife was worried about her. 9 o’clock at night but they worked with us to get her back with us. I don’t have a single complaint to mss as I’d against them. In my book, they are aces. Kudos! Applause! 😊”

About: Hi there! I’m a proud Graduate Assistant for the University of Tennessee Lady Vols basketball team, and when I’m not on the court supporting our athletes, I’m loving on fur-babies of all kinds! I’ve always been the go-to pet sitter for friends, teammates, and coaches. And now I’m excited to open my schedule to new four-legged friends here on Rover. Growing up around animals and helping care for everything from playful puppies to older pets needing a little extra TLC, I’ve developed a true passion for making animals feel safe, happy, and loved, whether that means long walks, endless belly rubs, or a cozy cuddle session. Being part of a high-level athletics program has taught me the importance of routine, dependability, and high energy, all of which I bring to pet care, too. I’m organized, calm under pressure, and always ready to adapt to each pet’s unique personality and needs. As a Graduate Assistant for the Lady Vols basketball team, I keep a structured but flexible schedule that makes it easy to include pet care throughout my week. I’m usually up early and active during the day, so I can fit in walks, drop-in visits, and quality time with pets before practices, between team responsibilities, or in the evenings. Weekends are wide open for me right now — from Friday afternoon through Sunday evening (and even into Monday mornings), I’m completely free and available for overnight stays, extended visits, or anything extra your pet might need. Honestly, spending time with animals is one of the most relaxing and fun parts of my routine, and I love being able to give them my full attention when I’m not in basketball mode! I live in a clean, cozy condo in a pet-friendly area that’s perfect for regular strolls and bathroom breaks. Whether your pup enjoys short potty walks or long, sniff-filled adventures, I’ll make sure they get the exercise and stimulation they need. Inside, your pet can expect a calm, safe, and welcoming space where they’ll never feel alone. I love creating a peaceful environment where animals can relax, snuggle up on the couch and feel totally at ease. I stick to whatever routine your pet is used to — feeding schedules, potty breaks, bedtime snuggles — to help them feel right at home. Whether we’re enjoying a walk around the block, playing with toys, or just relaxing together, your pet will be treated like family every step of the way.
“Bailey was great with Charlie! She was very communicative throughout the stay, and Charlie was happy, relaxed, and content when I picked him up. I’d definitely trust her to watch him again and highly recommend her!”

“Laura is amazing! She is caring and kept us up to date with pictures and text messages. When our Allie wasn’t eating, she coaxed her by hand feeding her and made sure she was getting her meds. I 100% recommend Laura and will be using her again when needed.”

“Couldn't ask for a better sitter or situation! From the first meeting, you can tell Viviana takes her job very seriously and knows exactly what she is doing. While we were away, she sent tons of pics and even a YouTube video of our little guy! She took care of our dog like he was her own. We will be rovering with you again, Viviana. Thanks a million!”

“Reagan took such great care of my pup! She was extremely easy to contact and communicate with and also was very flexible. I would definitely recommend her to take care of your fur babies!!”

“Tia watched our dog Polly while we were exploring Knoxville from out of town. She sent photo updates and took her on plenty of walks and even got her a little toy! Our dog has some separation anxiety but we could tell from the photos that Polly made herself right at home with Tia! I would definitely reach out to Tia again if we came back to Knoxville :)”

“Kaylee is an answer to my prayers for my collie, Lassie. In every way! Lassie stayed with Kaylee for a week, never having been away from me before. Kaylee devoted full attention to Lassie's every need, and took excellent care of her! The multiple pictures she sent every day were such a pleasure to receive and a great comfort to me! I couldn't have found anyone better than Kaylee. Her care of Lassie was perfect. I never have to search again! Thank you, Kaylee!”

“Really nice and caring sitter. Our flight got delayed and had to extend Bubble’s stay for an extra day. Hanna was really considerate about all this and took great care of Bubble.”

“We were a first timer with Rover and decided to select Becky W as our sitter who agreed to take care of them at our home. Becky did an outstanding job caring for our two sweet Lhasa Apsos! We are forever grateful for the communication, sending photos and providing updates including videos during her time with them. It gave us great relief feeling that they were being well cared for. Thank you Becky for making this experience a great one! It truly reduced the stress and helped us have even a better time knowing our babies were in great hands. We will be sure to reach out again when we need a sitter! Thank you so much and God bless.”

Elexis was wonderful with Synna. She was kind, responsive, and made the whole process easy and stress-free. Synna was well cared for, and I felt comfortable knowing she was in good hands. I would definitely book with her again and recommend her to anyone needing a reliable sitter.

I was sad to leave my boy for 9 days but I always know he is in good hands when he stays with Jenny. She sends plenty of update pictures and videos and I can see he’s having so much fun! I can’t imagine boarding him with anyone else! I can tell my dog truly loves her too :)

Kasra is the best Rover I have ever had. By far! He was kind, communicative, and went above and beyond for our dog throughout the stay. Our dog fell ill during the stay, and he handled the situation with positivity and willingness to help our dog feel better. He will definitely be our go-to Rover from now on. Thank you Kasra!

I was in need of a dog sitter extremely last minute, and Christa came through! She had great, timely communication and made me feel completely at ease. My dog absolutely enjoyed his time with her — she sent me pictures and cared for my fur baby as if he were her own. I really appreciate her kindness and reliability. I wish I lived in the area because she would definitely be my go-to sitter every time!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
