“Mort thoroughly enjoyed his time hanging with Dexter, Nicole & the rest of the gang. New to the area and happy to have found a great sitter with frequent updates to help alleviate any angst.”

“Ashley was amazing! Our dog loved her and her pups. She did a great job sending pictures and we knew our dog was in great hands! Highly recommend Ashley! This was our first experience with Rover and she was wonderful!”

“What a pleasant experience! This was our first time boarding our cat Clovis. Devin and Delisa were the best! Clovis got the best care and I got the best feedback while away! I super recommend them and will be booking with them next time for sure! Thank you so much!”

“Viviana is amazing with my dogs. I’ve used her several times now. They get so excited when we pull in the driveway. I love getting pictures from her throughout their stay and she is always quick to communicate with me. I would highly recommend booking a stay!”

“This was our second time using Jordyn as a sitter. She has been super easy to work with and I can tell that my dog is in great hands! Ginger was so excited when we pulled in the driveway and could not get in the door fast enough which says a lot!!! Thank you!!!”

“Tia watched our dog Polly while we were exploring Knoxville from out of town. She sent photo updates and took her on plenty of walks and even got her a little toy! Our dog has some separation anxiety but we could tell from the photos that Polly made herself right at home with Tia! I would definitely reach out to Tia again if we came back to Knoxville :)”

“Laura is amazing! She is caring and kept us up to date with pictures and text messages. When our Allie wasn’t eating, she coaxed her by hand feeding her and made sure she was getting her meds. I 100% recommend Laura and will be using her again when needed.”

“Couldn’t have asked for a better experience! Drop off and pick up went very smoothly. I could tell my pup had a great time with Kane and his dogs. Highly recommend working with Kane for any future Pet stays/needs. Kane was also very accommodating due to Rufus staying with him over the Christmas/Holiday break. Thank you, Kane!”

“Raven's care was second to none! Though it was a short stay, she (and her assistant/husband) took care of our boy and kept him happy until our return. We recommend her highly!”

“Kos took my pups in on short notice over Easter weekend. I appreciate his willingness to help me out. My dogs seemed happy when I picked them up and that’s all I could ask for”

“We cannot thank Lucia and Blaine enough for watching Taker! Lucia provided updates throughout the day which was so assuring that he was in the best of hands. If it were up to Taker he would have wanted to stay in their home longer! They truly treated him as their own!!”

“Kaylee was amazing! Constantly kept me updated and sent so many pics! I felt so comfortable and felt like my pet was taken such great care of. Definitely will be rebooking!”

“Hanna was a great sitter! And, I feel lucky because I got into town where a dog-friendly hotel wouldn’t allow us to crate Jackpot if not present, on Memorial Day weekend! Jackpot had lots of fun playing with Hanna’s daughter in the backyard. I don’t think my pup wanted to leave!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Knoxville
Here’s a warmer and more polished version: Sallie was the best sitter we’ve ever had on Rover! She kept us updated with plenty of pictures and thoughtful messages about how Yumi was doing, how she was eating, and even shared her favorite spots around her place. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing Yumi was in such caring hands. We highly recommend Sallie to anyone looking for an exceptional sitter. Thank you so much for taking such wonderful care of our baby!

Jenny was amazing with Synna. She made the whole experience completely stress-free by sending regular updates and pictures, and I could tell Synna was having a great time. It’s such a relief finding someone you can truly trust with your dog. I will absolutely book with Jenny again. Thank you for loving on my sweet girl while I was away! 🐾🤎

Bridget took great care of my dog Licorice. She gave her medication as scheduled and kept me updated on how Licorice was doing and sent me some great pics. I really appreciate that she takes only 1 dog at a time, and her 2 dogs are very friendly and got along great with Licorice.

Elexis was wonderful with Synna. She was kind, responsive, and made the whole process easy and stress-free. Synna was well cared for, and I felt comfortable knowing she was in good hands. I would definitely book with her again and recommend her to anyone needing a reliable sitter.

Kasra is the best Rover I have ever had. By far! He was kind, communicative, and went above and beyond for our dog throughout the stay. Our dog fell ill during the stay, and he handled the situation with positivity and willingness to help our dog feel better. He will definitely be our go-to Rover from now on. Thank you Kasra!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
