“Anna was amazing! I got consistent updates from her and she was super flexible when there were problems with my apartment, taking my dog to her house so that she would be provided for! Cannot recommend her enough!”

“Crystal is the 3rd sitter I’ve used and the only one I have felt comfortable with. I am not usually one to leave reviews; however, Crystal deserves her flowers! I have 8 cats (insane, I know) which can be overwhelming for me, let alone someone unfamiliar with their routine, medical issues, and the overall volume of duties. Despite this, Crystal took excellent care of my babies (and home), followed instructions, and was very communicative. I would utilize Crystal’s services again and believe others ought to as well.”

About: Hello! I am Stephanie, a neuroscience/pre-med/psychology student at UTK! With my education, I apply it to my job as your caretaker. For as long as I can remember, we have always had fur babies in our house from cats to dogs to lizards and frogs! I remember every single baby having a significant contribution to my personality and who I am now. My current best friend is my cat Sashi! Sashi is a kitty I found as a stray around town. I took her in and the rest is history! Each pet is unique with their own quirks, personalities, and conditions. Sashi has separation anxiety, and I couldn’t imagine leaving her alone for a long period of time. I understand what it means to understand, take care of, and appreciate our fluffy friends that are in our lives! I have experience pet sitting animals of all kinds from farm animals, to big, playful dogs, to small, shy cats. I have taken care of for extended periods of time dogs with medical conditions such as seizures, paralysis, partial blindness, and behavioral issues with other dogs. I care for animals of all ages and sizes! I am very knowledgeable with cats in their behavior, body language, and physical well-being. I am very physically fit to be able to run or walk fast and long (no, seriously I can run 5 miles under an 8 minute pace) and lift a heavy amount of weight. No matter the task, I will have no problem! Besides occasional obligations from school, I have plenty of time every day to play, exercise, love on, and feed your fur-babies! I am available multiple hours throughout the day and can stay home full time around my school schedule! I provide services from your home for your pets comfort. I can drive pets if necessary. I will follow strict instructions, clean any mess, and become best friends with your companion. I provide all services from your home and can stay as long as needed that work within schedule! I request information about temperament with humans and other animals, potty training, temperament with car, any special quirks, allergies, any past trauma that is relevant, allergies, leash aggression, and any at home rules for furniture.
“Thanks again, Allison, for taking such good care of our boy. He's never stressed out when we get home, but quite content. Such a comfort to know he's getting quality time with you!”

“I booked a very last minute, late in the evening puppy check in with Helena...she was so sweet and accommodating!! I could easily tell from the pictures he loved her!! She's a 10/10!!”

About: I have always grown up with dogs, since I was a young child I have shared the responsibilities of caring for a family dog. We have always had Bernese Mountain Dogs, so I am particularly adept at caring for active, very large dogs. Growing up I always cared for friend's, family's, and neighbors dogs while they were away on trips, or busy with work. This gave me the ability to care for a diverse profile of dogs with diverse, individualized needs. I am responsible and will closely follow the instructions left to provide your animal with the care it requires. While my experience is primarily with dogs, I also have experience caring for cats for my friends and family as well. In addition to providing your pet with high-quality care, I will also ensure that it feels secure, safe, and loved, even in your temporary absence. I have experience with dogs with high- anxiety, specifically separation anxiety, and I know how to calm your pet in these scenarios. Being apart from your furry loved one can be a time of anxiety for both you and your pet, but I will be sure to provide exceptional care to ease the anxieties of all involved. Overall, I am extremely loving, caring, and responsible, and feel I am an excellent choice to care for your pet. I am currently a Physician Assistant student, so I am busy during most of the day from 8-4, however I have breaks and can stop by to let your dog out or have a romp with them if needed. Other than that, my evenings, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays are entirely open, allowing me to dedicate much attention to your pet! I will be sure to accurately and closely follow all instructions that you leave regarding your pets care. I am comfortable with crating dogs if that is your desire. I am also quite adept at "pet proofing' your or my home before leaving, to ensure there is no trouble your animal could get into. My home has a fenced in yard and one very friendly Bernese Mountain Dog, though I could make arrangements for him to reside elsewhere during your pets stay if that is your desire.
“Tate was super helpful looking after my pups! Great communication and plenty of pics showing me how excited they were for the company. Highly recommend and will book again! Thanks Tate!!!”

About: Hi! I’m a former vet tech who loves caring for dogs of all kinds. Since I work from home most of the week, I have lots of flexibility for long walks, quick potty breaks, dog-park fetch sessions, or trips around town. I’m currently without my own dog, so I can’t wait to enjoy some quality companionship with yours! Especially love the big, older dogs but I’m also happy to help with younger pups! I work from home part of the week and I am home during the weekends so I’m happy to spend lots of quality time with your furry friend! I also have neighbors who work from home so if there’s ever anything needed when I am at the office, there will always be help available. In my home, depending on what you do at your home, I am happy to have the dog in a crate or free range. I also have a large patio so we can enjoy some sunshine time together as well. My complex does have a dog park and we live next to a walking trail so outside time will not be an issue however if your dog loves just snuggling and staying indoors. I am fine with that vibe as well.
“Izzy was absolutely great! We traveled for a week and my dog had a seizure towards the end of the week and she was there for him and really supported him and did everything above and beyond what was expected. She’s great!”

“Rachel was great with our three dogs, gave them lots of exercise, snuggles, and snacks, all as needed (and sometimes demanded by our puppy). Will be booking her again in the future.”

“Ms. Jordan has been wonderful! From the initial interview meeting to scheduled then cancelled visits, to the real thing - she's been very communicative. Our fur kids loved her visit, and I did too. We received updates and pics. We're grateful to have found her! I hate to recommend her though because that means she may be too bust and not able to come when we need her. ;-) I won't be selfish like that though. Thank you, Ms. Jordan.”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Knoxville
I had a great experience with her caring for my cat. She stopped by to make sure my cat had plenty of food and fresh water, and she took the time to play with her and give her some attention. It was clear that she genuinely cares about animals, and it gave me peace of mind knowing my cat was well looked after while I was away. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring pet sitter.

I came home after a week away to healthy happy cats. Brooke followed cat care directions precisely, and spent time petting them. She sent daily pictures of both my cats along with text updates. This gave me Peace Of Mind during my vacation. She took booking on short notice, and scheduled an introductory meeting with the cats and me before I left. I could tell within a minute of meeting her that she’s good with cats and likes them. I’ll definitely ask for her first next time I travel.

I truly cannot say enough good things about Taylor, she is an absolute godsend of a cat sitter. I had to be out of town for an entire month, and naturally I was nervous about leaving my cat, Scarlett, for that long. Taylor came over beforehand to meet her, and Scarlett instantly loved her, which already told me everything I needed to know. From day one, Taylor went above and beyond. She came every single day for a full hour, gave Scarlett so much love and attention, and took the most incredible care of her. She sent me detailed updates about what they did together and always included tons of photos (10+ a day!), which brought me so much peace while I was away. I felt completely comfortable the entire time knowing Scarlett was in Taylor’s care. She is thoughtful, reliable, communicative, and genuinely loving with animals. I could feel how much she truly cared, and that made all the difference. I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better cat sitter. Scarlett was in the very best hands, and I’m beyond grateful I found Taylor. If you’re considering booking her - do it!! She’s truly one of a kind, and I would recommend her a thousand times over! Thank you, Taylor, for taking such beautiful care of my girl! 💖🐾

Tia was great. She came to the house to meet my gang before we booked and went above and beyond when I was away. She was flexible with what I needed and helpful with everything, even when I got sick and had to come home early. I would definitely have her again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
