“⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Summer has been absolutely incredible taking care of my cat while I’m away. She consistently goes above and beyond—making sure everything is handled, sending updates, and giving me total peace of mind when I’m traveling. It’s not just the basics with her—you can tell she genuinely cares and treats my cat like her own. I never have to worry when Summer is checking in, which is huge for me. Couldn’t recommend her more highly. If you’re looking for someone reliable, thoughtful, and trustworthy, Summer is the best.”

About: I’ve grown up with all sorts of dogs my whole life! From small to little - I love them all. My friends and family have always entrusted me to help take care of their dogs or cats and I promise to take good care of yours too! I also have a background in photography & am happy to provide photos of your dog. I have a German Shepherd named Cash (after Johnny Cash of course) and I still help care for my mama’s puppy named Chief. I look forward to meeting your furry friends :) I work for the University of Tennessee and have large breaks in my work schedule where I can take care of your pet! I am dedicated and hard working, I will always make time to help out. I live in an apartment so it is much better for me to do drop-ins and at-home visits. I have cared for dogs and been able to crate them at my place - I’m also only 3 minutes away from a dog park which is helpful for getting out all that energy!
“Jessi is absolutely wonderful and took incredible care of our pack while we were away! We could tell from regular updates with adorable photos they were being well cared for and loved. It was such a relief knowing our fur babies were in such capable and caring hands. If you’re looking for someone reliable, responsible, and truly passionate about animals, Jessi is the best, and we’ll definitely be booking them again. Highly recommend!”

About: I have had pets in my home for as long as I can remember. These loving, sweet members of our families deserve only the best care. I have been pet sitting and walking for a few years off and on. I also volunteer at Young Williams Animal Shelter so I interact with all kinds of different sweet animals often. I also am working through the process of getting my dog training certification so I can further my training and education on these sweet animals! I hope you will consider me to be your pet sitter and I can’t wait to meet your fur babies! I am a college student so I do have classes, but I have no classes Tuesday and Thursdays and I have lots of free time during the day! I love animals so I thought this would be a fantastic way to spend my time on the side! Your pets safety is the upmost priority when considering pet sitting. I only do in home sitting because I want to ensure it is the care is to your standards. I also do have means of travel if dog parks were an interest, and I have a seat attachment for all sized dogs to keep them from moving all around the car!

About: I have taken care of dogs since I was very little but now I have the medical experience to back me up as I am finishing veterinary school. Who else would you want to take care of your pets while you are away? I am available M-S. It just depends. We can work out the details which we can do one on one to see how many times a day and how long of a duration. As a veterinary student, animal safety and well-being are my top priorities. With my background in veterinary medicine, I bring an extra layer of knowledge and awareness to ensure every pet is safe, healthy, and happy under my care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
