“Darby was a treasure! She took great care of my cat, playing & giving her affection, as well as going above and beyond keeping things nice in my home. Would definitely book again!”

“Rebecca was an absolute life saver and amazing watching our dog while we were gone for a week! She jumped in last moment when our original sitter cancelled and had our little one in great hands. She is very communicative, a quick responder, and we really appreciated the full updates and numerous pictures with each check in. Would hire her again in a heartbeat!”

About: We are a dog-loving family of 3 that will care for your pups like they were our own (which means lots of love)! Also, we have a great property for pet care, so your dog(s) will feel like they're on their own private doggie get-away vacation! Dexter and I both work from home, so at least one of us is always around the home to care for your pets! Our two dogs Yoshi and Puma are our doggie diplomats; they always do a great job of making new dogs feel comfortable and welcome. We have a large solarium with big windows attached to the front of our house, which we use as a doggy room - our two friendly dogs love hanging out in here and often chill and nap on the staircase platforms, barking at squirrels and what not, observing the front yard's happenings. It is their safe place. We also have a laminated living room/kitchen area with dog beds and our couch if they prefer hanging out there instead. We pretty much are hanging out and caring for dogs at all times of the day. Pet sitting has become nicely integrated into our daily lives and routines. We adore dogs so we always will make sure they are well cared for and have what they need to be happy!
“Taylor has excellent communication skills and was great with our cat! She sent many photos and was flexible with us when we had a change of plans with our trip. Highly recommend!”

About: I have cared for cats and dogs my entire life! My family had multiple pets at all times growing up. I am a cat mom myself with shared custody with my twin sister. I offer a pet stranger free home with my own cats staying with my sister while I have guest pets. 🐈 I first began pet sitting in college and primarily serviced young adults and college students. Thus, I have always offered an affordable rate so that regular people can obtain pet sitting services without having to pay expensive boarding fees. 🐶 Although I just started using Rover, I have been sitting for years through friends, family, and referrals! I can provide references for those I have serviced in the past that have not been through the app. 🐈 I am a former President, Vice President, and class representative of the Animal Legal Defense Fund at the University of Tennessee College of Law. I am available any day of the week for boarding. 🐈 Currently, I am not accepting bookings over 2 months in advance. 🐈 For drop in visits and walks, I am available Mon-Fri between 7:30-8:30 a.m., 11:30-1:30 p.m., and after 6 p.m. Available all day Saturday and Sunday beginning 9 a.m. 🐶 Drop off and pickups must occur between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 10:00 p.m. 🐈 Meet and greets must occur in the evening and are offered at Sutree Landing Park. Your pets become mine for a few days! I would care for them as if they were my own. I let pets staying in my home on the furniture and sleep in my bed. If you would like pictures of my home to see where your pet would be staying, feel free to ask! My personal pets vacate my home and stay with their other parent while I am sitting to eliminate conflicts with guest pets. 🐈 I send as many pictures as you want and I am available by text all day.

“Angela took amazing care of our cats while we were away! She was timely, very communicative, and overall went above and beyond for us. I’m looking forward to using her again in the future!”

About: With 10 years of experience in caring for dogs, I’ve developed an unmatched understanding of canine behavior, health, and happiness. Over the years, I’ve had the honor of sharing my life with some truly special dogs, each of whom has shaped my approach to pet care in unique ways. My journey began with my beloved Sparkles Jane, whose sweet and gentle nature taught me the true meaning of loyalty and companionship. She was more than just a pet; she was a friend, a teacher, and a source of endless love. While Sparkles Jane is no longer with me, the lessons I learned from her continue to guide my care for all dogs I encounter. I’ve also had the pleasure of caring for Patches, whose playful spirit and affectionate personality brought joy to every moment. Through these years, I’ve learned the importance of patience, consistency, and the deep emotional bond that forms between a dog and their caregiver. Now, I’m lucky enough to spend time with my sweet Beau Beau and Chippy, two dogs who continue to hold a special place in my heart. I absolutely love house-sitting for Beau Beau and Chippy, providing them with comfort and companionship whenever I’m back home. Their personalities are a perfect reminder of why I’m so passionate about what I do—every dog is unique, and they all deserve love, attention, and care tailored to their needs. Having lived with dogs my entire life, I understand the importance of building trust and creating a safe, positive environment where dogs feel comfortable and loved. Whether it’s providing extra care for a senior dog or engaging in playful activities with a younger dog, I know how to cater to their individual needs with kindness, expertise, and a lot of love. If you’re looking for someone who genuinely cares for dogs and has a decade of hands-on experience, I’d be honored to care for your furry family members. With my background, I promise to provide them with the highest level of attention, care, and companionship they deserve. Hello! I'm a passionate pet lover and a dedicated remote worker living in Knoxville with my wonderful wife. With the freedom of a fully remote job, I have the unique ability to work from anywhere in the world, which gives me the flexibility to travel at a moment’s notice and provide pet care when and where it’s needed—day or night. This flexibility makes me the perfect choice for your pet care needs. Whether you need someone to look after your furry family members while you're away for work, vacation, or any other reason, I’m available to provide reliable, loving care. My remote work setup means I can easily adjust my schedule to be there for your pets, ensuring they get the attention and companionship they deserve while you're not around. I understand how important it is to have a trustworthy and responsible person looking after your pets, and with my lifestyle, I can offer that peace of mind. I am committed to giving your pets the care and affection they need, and with my ability to travel anywhere, I can step in and provide exceptional care regardless of the time or place. If you’re looking for someone who has both the experience and flexibility to cater to your pet care needs, I’d love to help. Let’s connect and see how I can make your life easier while providing your pets with top-notch care! As a pet lover with a deep passion for animal care, I treat every pet I look after as if they were my own. Whether it’s feeding, walking, playtime, or even bath time, I pour all my love and energy into making sure your furry friend feels safe, happy, and loved while you’re away. I understand how much pets mean to their owners, and I’m excited to spend time with your little one, showering them with the care and attention they deserve. I truly believe that pets are more than just animals—they’re family. That’s why I approach every task with the same enthusiasm and dedication I would for my own pets. From getting their favorite treats to ensuring they have plenty of playtime and exercise, I’m here to create a positive and fun experience for your pet, no matter what they enjoy most. Whether it’s a lively walk around the block, a fun game of fetch, or simply cuddling up and relaxing together, I’m always excited to bond with your pet and provide them with companionship and affection. Bath time? No problem! I make sure it’s a gentle, enjoyable experience for your pet, leaving them feeling refreshed and pampered. And when it comes to feeding, I stick to their usual routine and ensure they’re getting the proper nutrition to stay healthy and happy. With my attention to detail, love for animals, and commitment to giving your pets the best care possible, you can trust that they’re in loving hands. I’m not just a pet sitter—I’m here to be your pet’s best friend, ensuring they feel cherished and well-cared for every moment they’re with me.
“Cheyenne did a great job taking care of our cat “Leo” while we were gone. She answered our request promptly and came the same day for meet and instructions. Thanks to her our plants stayed alive while we were gone in the almost 100 degree heat because she did some watering as well and we really appreciated that. Leo seemed well taken care of when we returned.”

“Izzy did a great job watching my cat while I was away. She kept him entertained, made sure he was taken care of, and paid attention to all his needs. It was a relief knowing he was in good hands the whole time. Thank you Izzy!”

About: I love any and all animals. I have two dogs of my own who are absolutely amazing girls. I also have a horse back home whom I miss and love dearly. I always make sure my dogs are well fed, (probably overfed but hey, they’re happy right?) always loved, and always taken care of when they need it. They are always UTD on shots and never go without yummy treats and unconditional love and cuddles. If your fur babies stay with me they will have a house, but also a home to stay in to make them feel comfortable and at ease while you do your thing! I have playmates of all sizes and ages, and a huge yard to let them wear themselves out! They will always be happy here in my home. I can help with equine as well.
About: Hi there! I’m Ansley. I live in South Knoxville and work in animal science. I have over 10 years of experience caring for other people’s animals, and nearly 22 years of caring for my own pets. I worked in both small and large animal vet clinics as a veterinary assistant, so I’m comfortable giving medications and treating ill or elderly pets. I have two Labrador retrievers (6 years old and 6 months old) and a Manx cat that needs extra attention due to some health issues. I’m a very active person and frequently walk or run with my own dogs, so if you’re just looked for the occasional walk to get your pup’s energy out, I’m your gal! I also have a fenced in backyard so if you’re interested in a play date, message me and we can work something out! My boys love new friends. Unfortunately, my cat does not do well with other cats, but he LOVES dogs. He was a rescue as a kitten from the clinic I worked in, so he grew up around the dog boarding kennels and 100% thinks he’s one of them. I know Rover is for dogs and cats, but if you or anyone you know is looking for assistance with farm animals, I can help there too. I currently work in the dairy industry but have experience caring for all livestock species. I have BSA and MS degrees in Animal and Dairy Science. I’m available mostly during weekends and evenings during the week however my job is flexible and I can do drop in visits during my lunch, as well as on my way to work in the mornings. I’m happy to provide drop in visits and walks in client’s homes. As mentioned previously, I do have animals of my own and would be open to bringing a dog to my house if they are friendly and play well with others. I have a fenced in backyard that my dogs love. I cannot bring other cats into my house due to my own cat’s distaste for others, but he is fine with dogs.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Woodfield Park. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
