“I originally booked Olivia for the wrong month and messaged her in a slight panic when I realized the day after leaving town that my cat had no care set up. She very kindly agreed to change the days and visited that same day after work. I can't say how much I appreciated her kind flexibility, and I will certainly ask her to look after my cat again.”

“Julie was AMAZING with my dog!! I booked her for drop in visits with my 2 year old lab mix and she was incredible with him. She was super communicative throughout the entire process from the meet and greet through the actual visits. And she took lots of adorable pictures of my pup!! Julie was attentive with the details I left about him and made sure to give him lots of love throughout her visits. I’d recommend her to literally anyone who is looking for a sitter!!”

“Natalie was great to work with. We had to book last minute for a trip. She was very accommodating working out our schedules. She helped us keep our working dog exercised and sent us pictures and updates! It was our 1st time booking with Rover and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience! Thank you, Natalie!”

“This is my second time having Megan take care of the kitties, and unsurprisingly she was great! We had a bit of a hiccup with my apartment office not communicating the new door code to me, but she was very patient and understanding about it, even staying outside for 30 minutes in hopes that someone would let her in. She’s very reliable and easy to work with!”

“Hila helped us out so much and was willing and available to check-in on Lucia last minute for us. She did a great job with Lucia and we will definitely utilize her help in the future!”
“Ysalys is wonderful! My pack of dogs can be a handful and they immediately took to her. She was punctual and took great care of them which really put my mind at ease! I look forward to using her in the future”

“Sawyer was wonderful!! This was the first time we left Walter for this long. We were away 8 days. Sawyer contacted us every day and sent photos of Walter every day. It was so reassuring to see that Walter was doing great and really helped our whole family relax on our vacation. Thank You so much Sawyer!!!”

“Lauren watched our cat this weekend and did a wonderful job! Our cat absolutely loved her so we will definitely be hiring her again. Lauren is very responsible, great at communicating, and sends photos of our sweet boy at every visit! Highly recommended!”

“Crystal is the 3rd sitter I’ve used and the only one I have felt comfortable with. I am not usually one to leave reviews; however, Crystal deserves her flowers! I have 8 cats (insane, I know) which can be overwhelming for me, let alone someone unfamiliar with their routine, medical issues, and the overall volume of duties. Despite this, Crystal took excellent care of my babies (and home), followed instructions, and was very communicative. I would utilize Crystal’s services again and believe others ought to as well.”

About: I have always been able to communicate and interact with animals much easier than i have with people, it comes more naturally to me. The first thing that my closest friends and family say when introducing me to anyone, especially if they have pets, is that i’m great with animals. it fits in perfectly, i work at part time job at a clothing store but my shifts are only typically four hours, and i get off work anytime between 4-6 so right around dinner time. i have an open yard that my dog can roam freely whenever we let her out, she tends to stay within 10 yards of our front doorstep so we do not keep her on a leash. however, should i be taking care of a dog and it does need to be on a leash when being let out, that is no problem at all.
“Madelyn was so incredibly kind and provided sweet TLC to our beagle mix. She sent texts and pics during her visit…her communication with us was so greatly appreciated. And our dog loved her! This was our first time using Rover and we’ll definitely call on Madelyn again! Thank you Madelyn ❤️!”

About: Since I was a kid my idol has always been Steve Irwin, and his admiration and respect for all animals, even dressing up as him with my brothers to go out into nature and learn about all different kinds firsthand. I’ve had the pleasure and privilege of raising just about every kind of domestic animal excluding cattle and horses. So, whether it lives on land, swims in the sea, or soars through the skies, I’ve got it covered, furry, scaled, or feathered. I’ve house sat and taken care of pets for friends and family, since I was a teenager, of all different mannerisms from ghostly skittish to aggressively friendly, rest assured me and your pet will get along just fine. I’m the one you hear people referring to when they say “They usually aren’t this friendly with strangers.” I currently am only working 3 days out of the week, so Friday through Monday I am mostly free to take care of any pets that need looked after in your absence. I have grown up and raised just about every animal you can think of, from rodents to reptiles, birds, cats, dogs and everything in between apart from large cattle and horses, but I love them all the same. I will do my absolute best to ensure that your pet’s wants and needs are met and their daily routines kept uninterrupted in your stead. I do prefer to be introduced to them and shown around their environment prior to taking full care of them so that I may take notes, learn about them, and have a chance to make friends with them before they are left in my care, so that I may ensure they don’t even notice you’re gone. Care for your pets would include ensuring they have access to clean fresh water, food eaten/made available, litterboxes emptied/taken to the bathroom, any medications given, and that ample playtime/pets given for their much needed exercise.
About: I’ve been taking care of dogs since I was 5 and have had two dogs, thankfully they both had very long happy lives! You can rely on me to give your dog the care I have given my own. I work full time but my hours are flexible during the week and my schedule is open on the weekends. Send me a message and I would love to help you with your pet’s needs! I live in a apartment but live very close to two parks. They will be given plenty of love and attention with walks and lots of play.
About: I care for your pets like they’re my own. Patience and safety and super important to me. I have experience with puppies, senior pets and administering medications, so I know how to adjust care for every age and personality. Whether it’s playtime, walks or cozy cuddles. I make sure your pet feels happy, secure and right at home. My goal is simple: fun, safe and stress-free care for your furry family! Typically I end work around 4 p.m. Wednesday- Sunday. And depending on how far away or the type of care needed I can check in throughout the day. I have Monday and Tuesday’s off usually so I would be able to watch over pets during those days with all day availability. Working in whatever environment to make the pet feel at peace while their owners are away is super important to me. Mostly, staying with them and watching if anything abnormal is happening. Communication is also key, so taking photos of their day to ensure a safe and enjoyable time is vital.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Aldenwood Park. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
