“I originally booked Olivia for the wrong month and messaged her in a slight panic when I realized the day after leaving town that my cat had no care set up. She very kindly agreed to change the days and visited that same day after work. I can't say how much I appreciated her kind flexibility, and I will certainly ask her to look after my cat again.”

About: Love seeing photos of your fur baby on walks, relaxing, snuggling, and playing while on your vacation? I’m the sitter for you! My name is Grace, and I’ve been providing intentional, high-quality overnight pet care to Knoxville pet owners for the past four years off-app. I am excited to expand to dog-walking and other pet care services on Rover! I can provide a comprehensive list of references upon request and have experience with large and small breeds of dogs, as well as indoor cats. I work full-time 4 days a week but can provide lunch time walks if requested. Early mornings, evenings, and weekends can be totally dedicated to your pet! One work from home day a week also provides more flexibility with your pet’s care. I’m experienced with crate-trained and free house roaming dogs and happily follow any rules required in your home. With cats, I am diligent with litter, and with all pets I always ensure adequate food and water to your specifications. I typically leave clients’ homes better than I found them and always clean up after myself as I care for your pet.

“Sawyer was prompt and communicative. Managed to get pictures of both cats on almost every visit, and one likes hiding away. At least one of my girls enjoyed having Sawyer as a sitter! 😅 (the other hides from everyone!!)”

“Meghan was so unbelievably sweet and was so good with Posie! She was very patient with her even though she is a wild puppy and kept her entertained while i was gone! I will definitely be hiring her again :)”

“Ysalys is wonderful! My pack of dogs can be a handful and they immediately took to her. She was punctual and took great care of them which really put my mind at ease! I look forward to using her in the future”

About: Since I was a kid my idol has always been Steve Irwin, and his admiration and respect for all animals, even dressing up as him with my brothers to go out into nature and learn about all different kinds firsthand. I’ve had the pleasure and privilege of raising just about every kind of domestic animal excluding cattle and horses. So, whether it lives on land, swims in the sea, or soars through the skies, I’ve got it covered, furry, scaled, or feathered. I’ve house sat and taken care of pets for friends and family, since I was a teenager, of all different mannerisms from ghostly skittish to aggressively friendly, rest assured me and your pet will get along just fine. I’m the one you hear people referring to when they say “They usually aren’t this friendly with strangers.” I currently am only working 3 days out of the week, so Friday through Monday I am mostly free to take care of any pets that need looked after in your absence. I have grown up and raised just about every animal you can think of, from rodents to reptiles, birds, cats, dogs and everything in between apart from large cattle and horses, but I love them all the same. I will do my absolute best to ensure that your pet’s wants and needs are met and their daily routines kept uninterrupted in your stead. I do prefer to be introduced to them and shown around their environment prior to taking full care of them so that I may take notes, learn about them, and have a chance to make friends with them before they are left in my care, so that I may ensure they don’t even notice you’re gone. Care for your pets would include ensuring they have access to clean fresh water, food eaten/made available, litterboxes emptied/taken to the bathroom, any medications given, and that ample playtime/pets given for their much needed exercise.
“She was very communicative and I loved her descriptions about her interactions with my cats! Even though the booking was for a couple of visits, my shy cat got closer to her and they played together! Highly recommend!”

About: I’ve been caring for dogs for the past few eyes and I know how important it is to find someone you can truly trust with your pets. I have been in your shoes trying to find the right person, too! I regularly pet sit for friends & family and genuinely love spending time with animals. Since I work from home, I have a flexible schedule and can easily swing by to give your pets plenty of attention, care, and company while you’re away! I currently work from home so I can swing by early in the mornings or late afternoon to hang out with your pet or go on walks. Or, swing by mid afternoon. I am usually open most weekends. When caring for pets in a clients home, I do my best to keep their routine as normal and stress-free as possible. I will also make to keep the home tidy and provide as many updates/pictures as you would like!

About: I have experience with all animals, I am certified for freshwater tank maintenance & have several reptiles. I also have 2 senior dogs, a Pomeranian and a cattle dog. I am dedicated to pet safety & health, my position of store manager at Pet Supermarket has given me education on food allergies & things such as dog socialization. My priority is top tier pet care & customer service. I make my work schedule so I can work in nearly anything with notice! I can also use my off days for fun trips out with pets if given permission. I prefer clients homes as mine is quite small. I understand the importance of your pets having a safe space & having familiarity when their family isn’t around. I respect owners who keep cameras in their home for pet services & have no opposition to that, as I prefer it. If I care for pets at my home I prefer small breeds under 10 pounds that are potty trained & spayed/neutered. My speciality in reptiles and fish makes it even easier for clients because I will only require minimum care needs like feeding dates.

“Mackenzie is wonderful! She took photos of my cats so I could see they were eating...not really an issue, but you know.... She also watered plants and brought in the mail...and during a rainstorm she checked for a leak (older home here) and then txted back and forth to sort out where to find a bucket to catch drips until I got home. I whole- heartedly recommend her.”

About: I’ve been caring for animals since I was 10 years old and have experience with a wide variety of breeds, sizes, and personalities. With over 10 years of dog sitting experience, I’m confident caring for dogs of all breeds and temperaments. I’ve owned both a 90+ lb English Bulldog and a 10 lb Chihuahua–Toy Poodle mix, so I’m very comfortable with all sizes and energy levels. I’m also experienced in following routines and administering medications, such as giving pills with food. I also grew up in a family of cat lovers and have always had cats in my life. I’ve cared for cats at all life stages, including raising a kitten who lived to be 20 years old. Currently, I have two kittens, Opie and Charlie (a Russian Blue and a Ragdoll mix), so I’m very familiar with kitten care, feeding routines, and different personalities. I truly treat every pet like they’re my own and make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. I work full time at Publix but with two weeks notice I can be pretty flexible. On days I do work I have an hour break so I can always stop in on my break for a potty break. It is always best to ask me because with proper notice i am very flexible. I live in an apartment complex with a rule of no over night pet visitors, so I will have to watch your pets at your house. But I have always lived in a neighborhood or close to a park where I could walk my dogs. My pets have a very set feeding schedule that they stick to very close so I am good with a feeding schedule. I have also owned pets with diet needs so I am used to needing dietary restrictions or accommodation.

Amherst cat parents share their Rover experiences
Sawyer was wonderful!! This was the first time we left Walter for this long. We were away 8 days. Sawyer contacted us every day and sent photos of Walter every day. It was so reassuring to see that Walter was doing great and really helped our whole family relax on our vacation. Thank You so much Sawyer!!!

I couldn’t have asked for a better sitter for my two girls while I was away overseas! From the start, Hayley was kind, professional, and clearly experienced with cats. She sent me daily updates and photos, which helped me relax knowing my girls were happy, well-fed, and getting plenty of love. When I came home, everything was spotless—food bowls clean, litter boxes fresh, and two very content kitties waiting to greet me. It was clear they’d been well cared for and comfortable the entire time. I’ll absolutely be booking with her again the next time I travel. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy, loving cat sitter!
