About: I’ve had animals ever since I was a little kid. I would dog sit my neighbors animals when they would go on vacations for full weeks or weekends. I would sometimes stay at their houses overnight or go by a few times a day. It would just depend on what was requested. I work from eight to five Monday through Friday and I have all weekends off!! My schedule is pretty free and flexible throughout the weekend. I live in an apartment complex but I do have a dog park there! I also live right down from Concord park in Farragut where I can go and play and walk them.

Courtney is absolutely fabulous!! We adore her. Teddy, our golden doodle puppy, was quite a handful at 4 months old when she started with us. He loved her from the start and she has been so patient with all of his puppy antics and sharp little teeth! It has given us so much peace of mind to have her caring as much about our little guy as we do. Wait until you hear about her foster work at home as well! She is just an all-around great person and animal lover. 6 out of 5 stars! We highly recommend!!!

Bailey took great care of our dog for a week while we were out of town. Even though it rained most of the time, she ensured he got to play and get some energy out! She also administered his medication with no issues. Bailey took the initiative to tidy up a bit when she saw the house was getting dirty, even though she did not have to!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Melissa was absolutely amazing with our four fur babies! From the moment we met her, it was clear how genuine and loving she is with animals. She was a fantastic communicator throughout our time away—keeping us updated and giving us complete peace of mind. What truly stood out was how much time she spent just loving on them, not simply checking boxes but really caring for them as if they were her own. Our pets were happy, relaxed, and clearly well cared for when we returned. We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter and will absolutely be booking Melissa again. Highly, highly recommend! 🐾💛

About: Medically retired Veteran and stay at home dad with lots of time on my hands to care for fur kids and keep a watchful eye on them. I have dog sat for friends' pets and personal pets that I've owned for over 30 years. I don't currently have another job. So, aside from medical appointments, I don't have any issues with daily or weekly routines. I should be able to conform to any and all needs. I always care for every pet as though that pet were my own. I know how sensitive each pet can be, so I try my best to keep that in mind when dealing with someone else's pet.

This journey has fostered a deep-seated passion for pet advocacy and specialized care. Whether meticulously managing Cookie’s daily medical regimen for allergies or providing a steady, reassuring presence for Snowball’s anxiety, I approach every unique need with unwavering patience and heart. I am committed to bringing this same level of attentive, high-standard care to your pets, ensuring their health and emotional well-being are always the top priority. I work full-time remote so I can care for your pets almost on a 24/7 basis guaranteeing that they are looked after. I can take breaks whenever as needed, so I can fully tailor to your pets' potty schedule. I have a fenced in backyard for your pets to freely roam outside. About: I love all dogs and genuinely care about their happiness, comfort, and well-being. I am available for house sitting, drop-in visits, and dog walking, and I truly enjoy spending time with animals of all ages and sizes. In addition to caring for my family’s and friends’ pets, I previously worked for a professional pet care company that was fully insured and highly rated by clients. In that role, I was trusted with clients’ home keys, cared for pets in their homes, and maintained the high standards expected of a professional pet sitter. This experience taught me the importance of reliability, communication, and treating every pet and home with respect. I love going on walks, playing in the yard, and giving plenty of cuddles and attention. I have a toy Cavapoo puppy of my own, so I am also comfortable caring for puppies and understand that they often require extra patience, supervision, and specialized care. I also have two large dog “nephews and nieces” that I regularly spend time with, so I am comfortable handling and genuinely enjoy dogs of all sizes, from tiny puppies to large breeds. While dogs are my specialty, I also have experience with cats and previously lived with one, making me comfortable caring for feline friends as well. When caring for your pet in your home, I am extremely respectful of your space. I make every effort to leave your home exactly as I found it by keeping things clean and tidy, turning off lights, locking doors, and following any household instructions you provide. My goal is to give you peace of mind knowing that both your pet and your home are in caring, trustworthy hands. I look forward to meeting you and your beloved furry family member! I am currently in a doctorate program, which gives me a fairly flexible schedule throughout the entire week. Because my schedule varies, I am often available for drop-in visits, walks, house sitting, and other pet care needs at different times of the day. I am a naturally spontaneous and adaptable person, so working with changing schedules is something I genuinely enjoy. I do my best to accommodate each client’s needs and will work with you to ensure your pet receives reliable, attentive care whenever it is needed. I understand that trusting someone with both your pet and your home is a big decision. I take that responsibility seriously and always strive to provide a safe, reliable, and respectful experience. While caring for your pet, I will treat your home with the same care and consideration that I would my own. I make an effort to maintain a clean environment, clean up after myself and your pet, secure doors and windows, and follow any household instructions you provide. My goal is for you to return to a happy pet and a home that looks just as you left it, or exactly as you would expect it to be.

About: I look forward to meeting and loving your fur babies! I’ve had pets my whole life and currently have a cat and dog of my own. I’m also a special needs parent, so patience, compassion, and attentiveness are second nature to me. Pet sitting helps me support my daughter’s therapies and additional needs, which makes this work especially meaningful to me. It takes a village, and I can’t wait to be a part of yours 🐾🩶 I’m able to come walk your pets or check in on them before work then play with them after work (5:30p-9p) throughout the week. And Saturday and Sundays I’m fully available/flexible! Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I provide a calm, loving environment with plenty of supervision, patience, playtime, and cuddles. I always follow feeding schedules, medication instructions, and any routines that help your pet feel secure and at home. I understand every animal has different needs and personalities, and I’ll care for them like they’re part of my own family 🐾

About: I have always been able to communicate and interact with animals much easier than i have with people, it comes more naturally to me. The first thing that my closest friends and family say when introducing me to anyone, especially if they have pets, is that i’m great with animals. it fits in perfectly, i work at part time job at a clothing store but my shifts are only typically four hours, and i get off work anytime between 4-6 so right around dinner time. i have an open yard that my dog can roam freely whenever we let her out, she tends to stay within 10 yards of our front doorstep so we do not keep her on a leash. however, should i be taking care of a dog and it does need to be on a leash when being let out, that is no problem at all.

About: I’ve had dogs and cats since I was little and learned the importance of care needed especially with certain breeds. I personally have a Great Pyrenees mix now and he is my whole world. I grew up with Belgian Malinois, Labs, Cane Corsos, and Brindles. I have trained these dogs before and know how to read body language. I have been a dog sitter for even little fur-babies, such as yorkies and chihuahuas🩷 i love to go on long walks and play games with pups. I’m an ER Nurse and work three days a week, overall my pup gets all the attention he needs with the help of my spouse that takes care of him as well. We do long walks every morning and get tons of play time and socializing at public dog parks in the area. I will treat any animal as if it’s my own!! I take extra care of any fur-baby that I can, they are in my opinion our best friends and need to be treated as such. I will take all the time needed to do walks, play fetch, or do some fun training! If the pup is friendly and wants a friend I can even bring my own fur-baby so it’s a play date!

After a small hiccup in communication at the beginning of the visit, Alexa was amazing. She followed the instructions I had for the cats, she provided daily reports, and she left the house clean and tidy, which isn’t always the easiest when you’re dealing with cats. She was great and I would absolutely use her again in the future!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Karns. On Rover:

  • 94% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 96% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
