“Courtney is absolutely fabulous!! We adore her. Teddy, our golden doodle puppy, was quite a handful at 4 months old when she started with us. He loved her from the start and she has been so patient with all of his puppy antics and sharp little teeth! It has given us so much peace of mind to have her caring as much about our little guy as we do. Wait until you hear about her foster work at home as well! She is just an all-around great person and animal lover. 6 out of 5 stars! We highly recommend!!!”

“Emma was absolutely fantastic! She really showed care while taking care of our cats! It was a huge relief knowing they were well taken care of while we were out of town for so long.”

“Cassandra was absolutely wonderful with my kitty! She was so patient with my shy girl, sent pictures and videos every day, and took amazing care of her. I 10/10 recommend her for pet care!!”

About: I love all dogs and genuinely care about their happiness, comfort, and well-being. I am available for house sitting, drop-in visits, and dog walking, and I truly enjoy spending time with animals of all ages and sizes. In addition to caring for my family’s and friends’ pets, I previously worked for a professional pet care company that was fully insured and highly rated by clients. In that role, I was trusted with clients’ home keys, cared for pets in their homes, and maintained the high standards expected of a professional pet sitter. This experience taught me the importance of reliability, communication, and treating every pet and home with respect. I love going on walks, playing in the yard, and giving plenty of cuddles and attention. I have a toy Cavapoo puppy of my own, so I am also comfortable caring for puppies and understand that they often require extra patience, supervision, and specialized care. I also have two large dog “nephews and nieces” that I regularly spend time with, so I am comfortable handling and genuinely enjoy dogs of all sizes, from tiny puppies to large breeds. While dogs are my specialty, I also have experience with cats and previously lived with one, making me comfortable caring for feline friends as well. When caring for your pet in your home, I am extremely respectful of your space. I make every effort to leave your home exactly as I found it by keeping things clean and tidy, turning off lights, locking doors, and following any household instructions you provide. My goal is to give you peace of mind knowing that both your pet and your home are in caring, trustworthy hands. I look forward to meeting you and your beloved furry family member! I am currently in a doctorate program, which gives me a fairly flexible schedule throughout the entire week. Because my schedule varies, I am often available for drop-in visits, walks, house sitting, and other pet care needs at different times of the day. I am a naturally spontaneous and adaptable person, so working with changing schedules is something I genuinely enjoy. I do my best to accommodate each client’s needs and will work with you to ensure your pet receives reliable, attentive care whenever it is needed. I understand that trusting someone with both your pet and your home is a big decision. I take that responsibility seriously and always strive to provide a safe, reliable, and respectful experience. While caring for your pet, I will treat your home with the same care and consideration that I would my own. I make an effort to maintain a clean environment, clean up after myself and your pet, secure doors and windows, and follow any household instructions you provide. My goal is for you to return to a happy pet and a home that looks just as you left it, or exactly as you would expect it to be.
About: I’ve grown up around animals my entire life and have experience caring for dogs and cats of all sizes, from 10-pound lap dogs to 150-pound large breeds. I currently own two cats and have previously cared for a pit bull mix, miniature schnauzer, toy poodle, and many other pets over the years. I have experience with senior pets, anxious/reactive animals, and administering medications both through food and oral syringes. I’m comfortable handling multiple pets at once and have cared for up to five dogs and one cat at the same time. I truly love spending time with animals and enjoy taking dogs on walks and jogs, playing with them, and giving them plenty of affection and attention. I’m dependable, communicative, and always strive to make both pets and owners feel safe and comfortable while in my care. I’m currently a full-time student and work part-time, but pet care is something I genuinely enjoy making time for. With at least two weeks’ notice, I’m able to accommodate my work schedule even more to provide reliable care for your pets. I’m dependable, flexible, and make sure every pet gets plenty of attention, exercise, playtime, and affection. Whether your pet enjoys long walks, jogs, cuddles, or simply relaxing with company, I’m happy to accommodate their routine and keep you updated along the way. Your pet’s comfort and safety are always my top priorities. I have experience caring for dogs and cats of all sizes, including senior pets and anxious/reactive animals, so I understand the importance of patience, awareness, and creating a calm environment. I carefully follow feeding schedules, medication instructions, and any special routines your pet may need. I’m also a strong communicator and will provide regular updates and photos so you can feel confident your pet is safe, loved, and well cared for while you’re away.
About: I’ve had animals ever since I was a little kid. I would dog sit my neighbors animals when they would go on vacations for full weeks or weekends. I would sometimes stay at their houses overnight or go by a few times a day. It would just depend on what was requested. I work from eight to five Monday through Friday and I have all weekends off!! My schedule is pretty free and flexible throughout the weekend. I live in an apartment complex but I do have a dog park there! I also live right down from Concord park in Farragut where I can go and play and walk them.
About: Hi! My name is Rachel, and animals have always been one of the biggest passions in my life. For the past five years, I’ve been rescuing, rehabilitating, and fostering dogs, giving me extensive hands-on experience with dogs of all ages, breeds, and temperaments. I’m especially comfortable caring for medically complex pets and understand the importance of strict medication schedules, feeding times, and specialized diets. Whether your pet needs extra patience, routine, or medical attention, you can trust that I’ll treat them with the same level of care and dedication that I would my own. I also love taking dogs on walks, providing enrichment, and making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. Professionally, I work in hospice and memory care, where compassion, patience, and reliability are essential every day. While my work schedule doesn’t allow me to rescue and foster as much as I used to, pet sitting gives me the opportunity to continue doing what I love caring for animals and giving pet owners peace of mind. I know how important it is to trust someone with your furry family member, and I would be honored to provide them with loving, dependable care while you’re away. I am currently working night shift 7pm-7am but have Tuesday's Thursday's Saturday's and every other Sunday off! I would love to be able to come by and hangout with your furry friend during the day when needed and discussions on boarding on weekends are always welcome! Your pet’s safety, comfort, and routine will always be my top priorities. I understand how important consistency is, so I’ll carefully follow your pet’s normal schedule, including feeding times, medication schedules, exercise, potty breaks, and any special instructions. With five years of experience rescuing, rehabilitating, and fostering dogs, I’m comfortable caring for pets with medical needs, behavioral challenges, and specialized diets. I provide a calm, loving environment where every pet is treated like family. I’ll also keep you updated with regular messages and photos so you can feel confident that your pet is safe, happy, and receiving the best possible care while you’re away.

“Bailey was absolutely amazing!! We felt so at ease and not worried about our dog while traveling for a week. She loved on him like he was her own and ensured he had lots of play time. She followed all of our care instructions to the letter. We so appreciated all the picture updates as well. We will absolutely hire her any time she is available! Cannot recommend Bailey enough!”

“Crystal was so great! She took care of my senior and handicap dogs so well and I knew they were receiving such great love and care. I really appreciated the pictures she sent every visit. I will keep those forever.”

About: I’ve had dogs and cats since I was little and learned the importance of care needed especially with certain breeds. I personally have a Great Pyrenees mix now and he is my whole world. I grew up with Belgian Malinois, Labs, Cane Corsos, and Brindles. I have trained these dogs before and know how to read body language. I have been a dog sitter for even little fur-babies, such as yorkies and chihuahuas🩷 i love to go on long walks and play games with pups. I’m an ER Nurse and work three days a week, overall my pup gets all the attention he needs with the help of my spouse that takes care of him as well. We do long walks every morning and get tons of play time and socializing at public dog parks in the area. I will treat any animal as if it’s my own!! I take extra care of any fur-baby that I can, they are in my opinion our best friends and need to be treated as such. I will take all the time needed to do walks, play fetch, or do some fun training! If the pup is friendly and wants a friend I can even bring my own fur-baby so it’s a play date!

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Claxton
After a small hiccup in communication at the beginning of the visit, Alexa was amazing. She followed the instructions I had for the cats, she provided daily reports, and she left the house clean and tidy, which isn’t always the easiest when you’re dealing with cats. She was great and I would absolutely use her again in the future!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Claxton. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
