“Lily has been a wonderful sitter. This was my second booking with her as she is very reliable and communicative. She’s even shown me some helpful tips as a first time pet owner (such as moving the water bowls into a corner so the cats don’t spill them when they have the zoomies). My cats also warmed up to her notably quickly!”

“Courtney was willing to check in our our girls with little notice and did a phenomenal job. My pets were loved and cared for and she sent great updates. We will definitely be booking with her again!”

“Always happy when Jill is available to check in on our girls. This time, we had some packages arrive early unexpectedly (including a huge Chewy box - sorry Jill!) and she brought them in for us. I always know my house and pets will be taken care of with her.”

“Lauren was awesome with our 2 fur babies!! I loved getting the pictures and seeing my dog play and have fun. Much better than boarding!! Will definitely use her again.”

“Haley was outstanding on her care for our furry child. From the moment she met our dog she knew how to handle her, since she is a very nervous and protective dog. Haley asked many questions to provide the right care for our dog while we were away, and was very great following instructions for the care of our dog. It was the first time we left our dog behind on a family vacation trip, and we were very anxious about how to get the right care for her. Haley did not disappoint. We would definitely recommend Haley's dog care services and we will count on Haley to care of our dog for our future family trips.”

“Rebecca was an absolute life saver and amazing watching our dog while we were gone for a week! She jumped in last moment when our original sitter cancelled and had our little one in great hands. She is very communicative, a quick responder, and we really appreciated the full updates and numerous pictures with each check in. Would hire her again in a heartbeat!”

“Beverly dropped in to feed our 3 Golden retrievers. She was eager to help on short notice which made our lives so much easier. She cooked some chicken for them, fed them according to their specific dietary needs and sent detailed feedback on how dinner went. I can definitely recommend Beverly for drop in visits to help give you peace of mind. Thanks Beverly for being so communicative and for sending a pic of Ben having dinner!”
About: Hi! My name is Rachel, and animals have always been one of the biggest passions in my life. For the past five years, I’ve been rescuing, rehabilitating, and fostering dogs, giving me extensive hands-on experience with dogs of all ages, breeds, and temperaments. I’m especially comfortable caring for medically complex pets and understand the importance of strict medication schedules, feeding times, and specialized diets. Whether your pet needs extra patience, routine, or medical attention, you can trust that I’ll treat them with the same level of care and dedication that I would my own. I also love taking dogs on walks, providing enrichment, and making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. Professionally, I work in hospice and memory care, where compassion, patience, and reliability are essential every day. While my work schedule doesn’t allow me to rescue and foster as much as I used to, pet sitting gives me the opportunity to continue doing what I love caring for animals and giving pet owners peace of mind. I know how important it is to trust someone with your furry family member, and I would be honored to provide them with loving, dependable care while you’re away. I am currently working night shift 7pm-7am but have Tuesday's Thursday's Saturday's and every other Sunday off! I would love to be able to come by and hangout with your furry friend during the day when needed and discussions on boarding on weekends are always welcome! Your pet’s safety, comfort, and routine will always be my top priorities. I understand how important consistency is, so I’ll carefully follow your pet’s normal schedule, including feeding times, medication schedules, exercise, potty breaks, and any special instructions. With five years of experience rescuing, rehabilitating, and fostering dogs, I’m comfortable caring for pets with medical needs, behavioral challenges, and specialized diets. I provide a calm, loving environment where every pet is treated like family. I’ll also keep you updated with regular messages and photos so you can feel confident that your pet is safe, happy, and receiving the best possible care while you’re away.
“Karen responded quickly and helped me out on a very short notice for a late drop-in. I appreciated seeing pictures of Charlie and knowing he was being taken care of. Thank you so much Karen!!”

About: We’ve both been around dogs for most of our lives, so becoming your dog’s new best friends comes pretty naturally to us. We both grew up with dogs and have experience caring for everything from playful puppies to senior dogs. Over the years, we’ve watched dogs for coworkers, family, and friends and have cared for dogs of all ages, sizes, and personalities, including multiple dogs at once. Whether your pup wants to play, relax, get plenty of attention, or just follow us around the house all day, we’re happy to make them feel right at home. Our goal is simple: give your dog a safe, comfortable, fun place to stay and make sure they get plenty of love while you’re away. Our schedules are pretty consistent, which makes it easy for us to build pet care into our daily routine. We make sure there is plenty of time for feeding, potty breaks, walks, playtime, and attention throughout the day. When we’re caring for a pet, we plan around their normal routine as much as possible so they feel comfortable and settled while they’re with us. Evenings and weekends give us plenty of extra time for longer walks, playtime, and hanging out at home. We enjoy having dogs around, so pet care fits naturally into our day rather than feeling like an extra chore. Safety and trust are our top priorities. In our home, we make sure pets have a clean, comfortable environment with plenty of attention, supervision, potty breaks, playtime, and time to relax. We follow each owner’s instructions closely, including feeding schedules, medications, routines, and any special needs or behaviors we should know about. We understand that every dog is different, so we take the time to learn what makes them comfortable and never force interactions. When caring for multiple dogs, we pay close attention to their personalities and supervise introductions and playtime.

About: I’ve had a love for animals my entire life, and dogs have always held a very special place in my heart. I’ve grown up caring for dogs and have always been the friend and family member who loves to spoil every fur baby with extra attention, cuddles, and affection. I’ve also had experience caring for other people’s pets, including dogs and bunnies, and I understand how important it is to find someone you can truly trust with a member of your family. I treat every pet as if they were my own and make it a priority to provide them with patience, comfort, companionship, and plenty of love. I take pride in going above and beyond to make sure every pet feels safe, happy, and cared for while their family is away. I’ve always received positive feedback from the families I’ve helped, and I would love the opportunity to give your fur baby the same love and attention I would want for my own. 🐾❤️ I’m a lab assistant working until medical school late 2027. I work in the mornings from 6 AM to 11 AM and then I’m home the rest of the day. I live in a renovated basement space giving your fur baby their own comfortable and peaceful space during their stay. I also have a cat who is very friendly with dogs and is comfortable around other cats. I’m also happy to accommodate pets with allergies, anxiety, or other special needs. If your pet or anyone in your family has allergies, I can keep the animals completely separated during their stay and take extra precautions to maintain a clean, comfortable environment. My goal is to make your pet feel safe, relaxed, and loved while giving you peace of mind knowing they’re in good hands. 🐾❤️
“Cassandra was an absolute professional & pleasant to work with. This was the first time we have gone out of town for 4+ days and, upon returning, my dog wasn't upset at me! 5/5 would work with Cassandra again.”

About: I've had both cats and dogs my whole life and I have been boarding and walking dogs through River for about three years now! I recently relocated to Knoxville and am excited to take on new clients to spend time with their fur babies and treat them as my own! Lots of treats and lots of love involved typically 🤗 I am able to walk dogs or drop by and check on your dog or cat any time of the week or weekend! I am flexible so I can fit whatever day or time works best for my clients. I do not currently board in my home. If I come to your home to watch after your pet, I am very respectful of your home and the items in it. I want to make your pet as comfortable as possible and maintain their regular eating schedule. I will ensure they have access to drinking water at all times and get frequent potty breaks, every two hours or so. We will go for walks, if permitted, and spend extra time with play toys and cuddles!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Clinton. On Rover:
- 93% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
