It was a last minute request which she eagerly honored and we are so grateful that someone could check on our pups while we were away. During undergrad, I fostered dogs and volunteered through the Lexington Humane Society. This work was so fulfilling and allowed me to provide shelter dogs with socialization and get them adopted! About: I have been around dogs my whole life, long before my family ever adopted our own. We rescued our first dog when I was 7 and loved him up through his grey fur and blindness. I pride myself on understanding animals needs and boundaries. I am currently working a part-time job as well as pet sitting on Rover. About: I have been a pet owner my entire life. After losing my 15 year old beagle, I became a foster parent with various animal shelters. I have successfully rescued 15 dogs and placed them with their forever families. My last foster boy, I ended up falling in love and adopting him as my own. His name is Roland.. I have a fenced in backyard and a private room with a doggie door to allow access to the yard. I would prefer one dog at a time (plus mine) But can make exceptions after their first stay. I currently work full time in an office 5 mins away. So I can check on my fur babies during lunch hour. Please see my calendar for Availability. I always keep my dog, Roland, separated from my new Rover pets until they get acclimated to being somewhere new. I also have the ability to keep my dog separated if my Rover needs privacy. Veronica is just wonderful! She's been working with our timid guy for over a year now and finally - success! Obviously he must think a lot of her to risk his life so haphazardly and actually come out from hiding to get treats AND food from her. She's a top notch person for sure!
Lucas was amazing! We had a last minute need for someone to lay our dogs out on a holiday weekend. I inquired at close to midnight and he responded quickly - which is a bonus because I didn’t expect to hear anything until morning! He communicated when he was there, let us know he was running a few minutes late, and sent us pictures! We will definitely use Lucas again.
This was my first time booking with Colby and I couldn’t have asked for anything more. He is very kind, showed up on time and lefts notes. Our two dogs enjoyed Colby. When we came home they both acted fine where in the past it took some time. He was able to give us a peace of mind. Highly recommend and will be booking him again on our next trip.

During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
