“Tabatha (& her whole family, of course) was great; Gracious to me when I dropped Dooley off and picked him up, Responsive to Dooley, Engaging with me as well as with Dooley, Attentive to Dooley’s feeding, water & play time, and Timely in communicating with me when I texted or called. G.R.E.A.T! I’d definitely use her again. This was my first experience with Rover. I’ll be back.”

“Our Barton boy enjoyed every second of being there!! We received picture and video updates the whole time away and could really feel the love they poured into him. You can tell he misses his new friends so much already! 🖤”

“What a pleasant experience! This was our first time boarding our cat Clovis. Devin and Delisa were the best! Clovis got the best care and I got the best feedback while away! I super recommend them and will be booking with them next time for sure! Thank you so much!”

“Andrew was great and took good care of my boy Leroy. His dog Jeff is a sweetie and I would definitely book with Andrew again so Leroy has both a human and canine companion he likes while I’m away!”

“On very short notice, because of an emergency change of plans, we needed a dawg sitter. Nicole & Dexter P. were our choice by default. They were the closest. We knew nothing about them. I contacted them, hoping against hope, that with only a day’s notice , they would be able to take our puppy. Millie is 3 years old, but in our minds, still a puppy. If you live your dog, you understand! They came through for us!!! Good communications and stayed in touch with us while we were gone. Sent pictures. Let us pick her up early, since the wife was worried about her. 9 o’clock at night but they worked with us to get her back with us. I don’t have a single complaint to mss as I’d against them. In my book, they are aces. Kudos! Applause! 😊”

“Erin was very kind and amazing with our high energy dog, Kora. She was super accommodating with a quick meet and greet, and sent lots of pictures while she watched Kora. Definitely booking with her in the future!”

“Rachel was outstanding in caring for my pup on our two week vacation! She made us feel very comfortable and connected to our furbaby with her photos, videos, and communication. My dog loves to see her pups and to run with them in her big backyard. I count myself lucky to have found Rachel as a newcomer to Knoxville!”

“Heather and her family were wonderful! Our two pitties can be a handful and Heather met all their challenges with understanding and great ideas to keep them safe and happy while we traveled. We would highly recommend Heather!!!”

“Savannah had a good time with Joe, she got to go on walks, have her treats and just chill out on his couch with him. It didn't take her very long to roll over to get her tummy rubbed, either. Joe kept me updated with photos of her and I texted him with little things I forgot to mention. We will definitely be having Joe take care of her again!”

“I cannot recommend this family enough for boarding! We did a meet and greet which was so comforting knowing our dog would love their dog too. And turns out they became the best of friends during his stay with them. We had never boarded Mac before and I was so anxious but this was so worry free and it was like he was just spending the weekend with family. We got lots of photos too!”

“Ann was absolutely amazing. She was able to fit my fur babies in last minute and was extremely flexible with our crazy schedule. She provided pictures throughout the day. We will absolutely use miss Ann again if we come back for another vacation. Highly recommend!!!!”

“Alexis and Alexzander were absolutely wonderful with our puppy! They are so kind and true animal lovers. They were patient with our very shy dog and she warmed up to them instantly. Our pup was in the very best hands. They sent photos and updates and we knew they loved her like their own! We are so appreciative. Lovely people and highly recommend!”

Jacob was amazing and we are so lucky to have found him to watch our boy, Monte! I picked Monte up after the visit and he almost didn't want to leave Jacob, which made me know that Jacob did a great job of loving and taking care of Monte! I'd recommend Jacob highly to anyone looking for pet care!

Elizabeth was the most lovely dog-sitter for our 2 English Springer Spaniels!! It felt like we were leaving them with a family friend. She let us do a meet and greet to answer any questions beforehand, and she was attentive to their unique needs all throughout their stay. Drop off/pick up was easy, and bonus - her home is v close to the airport. Our dogs are our babies, so it feels so good to know they were safe and happy at Camp Elizabeth! They especially loved their walks with her along the greenway. Elizabeth is a true dog lover - her thoughtful care of our babies gave us peace of mind. Her partner also enjoyed lots of love from our silly noodle pups. Excited to book another stay with her for our next trip!

We love Vivianna! Sweet, sweet lady who is SO good with dogs. We were able to leave our dogs and go out of the country and did not worry about them. We saw from the 100’s of photos that they were doing well. We appreciate all her efforts in taking care of our babies.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
