“Thank you so much for watching my babies. They were so well taken care of. She is excellent at this and has the perfect setup and land. My dogs were so happy there and I'll gladly use her every time.”

“Colt (my dog) stayed with Joseph and his family for two nights. Joseph was great at communicating with me and very understanding regarding my dog’s separation anxiety issues. It was Colt’s very first board at a home. Needless to say, my husband and I ourselves were a little anxious! But Joseph was quick to reply and provided plenty of updates with photos. Joseph also asked plenty of questions regarding Colt’s care, which I feel is a shining example of his strive towards excellent care. 10/10 would book again! 😊”

“I have boarded my dog with Kristy twice now, and it’s been a great experience both times! My biggest issue with conventional boarding facilities was that no one seemed to be able to give Rocky his medications correctly, but Kristy has been on top of it. She communicates well, sends pictures, and updates frequently. Rocky is an anxious dog and can be very particular about his space, but Kristy didn’t have any issues with this and knows dog behavior well. As long as she’s available I’ll book in the future!”

“Thank you for taking such good care of our pups. Gloria communicated with us before our stay and stayed in contacted the whole time our dogs were with her. I highly recommend boarding with Gloria, and we will definitely use her again if we are in the area.”
“Devin was flexible and gracious. Our kitties had their own room and were safe and cared for. I would would recommend them and personally hire them again if the need arises. Thank you!!”

“Hanna watched our two corgis for five days while we were out of town and she was very prompt in giving us updates and did a great job taking care of them! Our dogs looked to be having a blast with her corgi as well, we would definitely recommend her to others for dog sitting!”

“Thank you again Heather for taking such good care of Gizmo! He is so excited to get to stay at your house and enjoys playing with all of his furry friends there. 😁”

“This was my first time using Rover and it was excellent. Very flexible and even came to pick up on campus during a Tennessee game – it let me take my little buddy with me for longer and then since it was a night game she watched him and he seemed very happy. Excellent job!”

“Katie was easy to talk to and easy to work with. Her dogs, and their setup made me feel comfortable leaving my pup for her first "day care." Katie has a natural good humor in working with dogs, and mine took to her without much trouble. Thanks, Katie!”

“Daniella was great to work with and was so helpful and flexible when our return flight plans changed. She was great at communicating and sending picture updates. We know our sweet boy was well loved in her care!”

“Lucas was great! He was accommodating, kind, and Mia seemed super happy to have Lucas’s dog as a friend ❤️Also had a backyard where the dogs could run in and out of the house. Thanks!”

“Gabrielle took care of our cat Ivy for two weeks while we travelled, she kept us updated with photos and videos. She has the knowledge and experience to make Ivy feel comfortable and home . We as a family consider ourselves very lucky to have met Gabrielle and be able to help us in future needs .”

“Amazing! 10/10! I cannot recommend them enough. They were super sweet, made sure I was updated once a day, and treated Loki like a prince. I couldn’t ask for better.”

“Jessica was incredibly responsive throughout our dogs stay. She sent multiple photos and messages while taking excellent care of our dog! Our dog had to take some medication that Jessica was familiar with and that she was able to give to our dog with ease. Will be booking again!!”

Jennifer took amazing care of Copper while we were out of town for a week. She sent multiple updates everyday that included pictures or videos and was very responsive to all communication. I could tell that Jennifer did her best to make sure Copper was comfortable while he was away from home. We will gladly book with Jennifer again in the future.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
