“We have used Teresa several times now and she always does a great job. The house is in great condition and our pup seems very happy. She is very good to respond to communication while we’re away. Will definitely continue to use her.”

“Kymber is very responsible and friendly. She took notes during our meet and greet, which was impressive. The house was spic and span when I returned. My dog was also very happy when I returned home after Kymber, and the pics she sent during the visit indicate everyone had a great time. I would highly recommend her.”

“Kristen is awesome, neighbors stopped me to comment on what a great job she did & how wonderful she was. She communicated well & gave updates & pictures. The house was immaculate. Would use again.”

“Bethany watched my 3 dogs while I was away for a long weekend. I couldn’t have asked for a better dog sitter! She kept me updated with pictures, followed all instructions, and gave my pups so much love and attention. So thankful to have a peace of mind while I was away. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a trustworthy and kind dog sitter!”

“Jonathan did an excellent job with our dogs. Duke can be a little standoff-ish with new people and Jonathan handled it perfectly. We will definitely use him again.”

About: I have a lifetime of experience of taking care of dogs, but I also started volunteering at a local animal shelter when I was about 10 years old, where I gained experience interacting with dogs of many different breeds, sizes, and personalities. I have provided daily care with dogs ranging from 15 pounds to 110 pounds and am comfortable providing attentive and loving care to dogs of any breed. I’m currently working a summer job that allows me to be flexible and change my scheduling around a little bit. In the fall, I am starting classes for college and plan on working as a CNA part-time, mostly on my days off from class which is Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. This is undecided, but i will fit your dog into my routine more than once daily and can even stay the night at the house if it’s more convenient for the owners. When caring for pets in their own home, I focus on keeping their routine as consistent and comfortable as possible. I will provide attentive care through feeding, walks around their neighborhood, playtime, and most importantly making sure they feel safe and loved while their owner is away.
“Sarah was great! She housesat for us and watched our two dogs. She brought her dog who got along so well with our younger, anxious dog. She left our house clean and spotless. She sent several pics and updates throughout the day. We will definitely reach out to her in the future if we need someone to housesit.”

“Kim was amazing with our 2 fur babies ! She made it so easy and eased our minds about leaving our puppets at home under her care. Falkor and Seraphina immediately took to Kim and were sad when it was time for her to go home. Highly recommend Kim ❣️❣️❣️🐾🐾🐾🐾”

“This was our first time using Karen and our Jack Russell pups seemed very comfortable with her. One of them doesn't make friends easily with strangers but was laying at her feet soaking up petting after about 10 minutes. Karen took great care of our home and pets while we were away.”

“Vanessa is the sweetest! She took such good care of our pups while we were gone for the weekend and left our apartment looking spectacular! You can really tell she loves animals and that is so important to us. We will definitely be using her again!”

“Lindsey made me feel super at ease as a first time Rover user. I needed someone to house sit as well as pet sit and she made sure everything and everyone was well taken care of! When we arrived home the house was clean and the pets were happy! Highly recommend.”

About: I’ve cared for dogs of various sizes and personalities and am comfortable with feeding, walking, playtime, and providing lots of attention and affection. I prioritize being reliable and making sure pets receive the attention, exercise, and care they need while their owners are away. About: I have been around dogs my entire life, I ALWAYS give 110% when taking care of someone’s fur children! Pets are an important part of our lives! I have puppy training experience and love meeting and playing with new puppies! My own dog is diabetic and requires daily injections so I am very comfortable caring for senior and medically complex dogs. Open communication is important to me so we both know what to expect and I love sharing my time with your pets and sending photos so you know how much fun we are having! I have full time availability Monday through Friday and am available on the weekends as needed. I am excited to spend a lot of time throughout the week with pets! My chocolate Labrador retriever Ollie was diabetic. He received 26mL of insulin 2x a day along in the scruff of his neck with his food needing to be watered down due to it being a choking hazard. I would take care of ANY pet like I took care of him. I will stop in to check on your pets, play with them to get their energy out, snuggle with them, and make sure they have everything they need including walks, food, water, treats, play time, and medication.
“We appreciate that Lexi could come stay with our pups at our motel room while we attended a concert for a few hours. She did a great job and sent pics to us while we were gone. I would highly recommend her to anyone in/staying in the Spokane area. Thank you Lexi!”

Bethany watched my 3 dogs while I was away for a long weekend. I couldn’t have asked for a better dog sitter! She kept me updated with pictures, followed all instructions, and gave my pups so much love and attention. So thankful to have a peace of mind while I was away. Betty is an absolute treasure! She has been the person who we always request on Rover. She has been taking care of our home & pet for a couple of years and we feel our dog is safe & happy. She sends great communication of our dog playing and enjoying her company while she is in our home. Thank you Betty for giving us the peace & comfort to our dog & home so we can enjoy our time away.

Amy went above and beyond at every turn! She came out for two meet-and-greets and hung around for a while to really get to know them. Our cat and dog are usually very shy around people and take a long time to get comfortable, but Amy put in a ton of effort to win them over and they adored her. We got back from our trip, and they clearly miss her a lot! She also took care of our two tortoises and asked a ton of questions and learned about all their quirks and care needs. She paid incredible attention to them and she did way more than meet their needs. Amy stayed at our house for 3 nights and left the place cleaner than it was when I left. We are beyond grateful to have had her as our house and pet sitter these last few days.

Brenna is an incredible dog sitter! We have two very senior dogs and one somewhat senior dog, and she was magnificent with them. She is very caring and compassionate, relentlessly attentive to detail and truly cares about your animals. We are so grateful for her help! We cannot entrust our animals to just anyone and she was a jewel and a wonderful blessing to our family.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Maryville walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Maryville maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Maryville choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Maryville. On Rover:
- 95% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
