I spent over 10 years working in veterinary medicine and specialize in senior pets, medically complicated pets, and animals who need a little extra patience. I’m comfortable with dogs of all breeds and sizes and have extensive experience handling nervous, fearful, and reactive animals. My veterinary background means I’m comfortable recognizing changes in a pet’s normal behavior, following detailed care instructions, and administering medications when needed. I’m also involved in dog rescue and understand that every animal has different boundaries—I’m happy to let your pet set the pace rather than forcing interaction. I have extensive personal experience with multi-pet households and large dogs, and I’m equally happy caring for the easygoing pets who just want dinner, a walk, and someone to hang out with. Senior pets are especially close to my heart, but I love working with all ages. And not just dogs and cats: I’m also comfortable caring for chickens, reptiles, and other small animals.

I’m comfortable following detailed care instructions and medication schedules, including care for senior and special-needs pets. I’m also experienced with nervous, fearful, and reactive animals and believe in adjusting my approach to the individual pet rather than forcing interaction. Your pet’s safety and comfort always come first.

Alexandra was wonderful with Queen. She was communicative, punctual, followed instructions carefully, and asked thoughtful questions. Giving fluids solo is not easy, and she handled it confidently while keeping me updated with photos. Queen seemed relaxed and well cared for. I would definitely book Alexandra again.

Alexandra is wonderful! I have a 75 pound boxer & she does great with him! Always updating me, and sending pictures to assure me he’s okay. I definitely recommend her!

Schedule
I work full-time during the week, but I’m happy to accommodate weekday visits when location and timing allow. I have more flexibility during evenings and weekends and will always confirm that I can comfortably meet your pet’s schedule before accepting a booking. I take my commitments seriously, so if I accept your booking, you can expect reliable visits and consistent communication throughout your time away.

- Tell me about your pet’s normal routine, personality, favorite things, and any quirks I should know about! For pets with medical or special needs, please let me know about medications, mobility concerns, dietary restrictions, behavioral considerations, and anything else that will help me keep their routine consistent. I’m comfortable with detailed care plans—I actually appreciate them. The more I know about what is normal for your pet, the better I can care for them while you’re away.
