My connection to animals runs deep. I spent five years volunteering at Lindsay Wildlife Rehabilitation Center, working in both the mammal department and wildlife hospital with injured and recovering animals. That experience sharpened my understanding of animal behavior and reinforced something I already believed: animals feel safety before they understand it. My goal is always to create that feeling from the moment your dog arrives! Because I work from home, pets in my care are rarely left alone for long periods and receive plenty of attention, walks, and companionship throughout the day. When pets stay in my home, they become part of a calm and comfortable daily routine. I primarily host dogs from 1 household at a time so each pet receives plenty of individual attention. Dogs here enjoy daily walks, playtime, and relaxed downtime, and I’m home much of the day since I work from home. For drop-in visits or walks in a client’s home, I follow the pet’s normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding, fresh water, walks, litter care for cats, playtime, and companionship. About: I have had pets all my life and have a special way with many animals. From tiring out restless pups through play so they can settle in their doghouses, to gaining the trust of the sassiest cats, my patience and kindness towards all animals has gained me the favor of friends and family to care for their pets. I am currently a full time student, so my availability throughout the week can vary. Despite this I find myself to have my afternoons and evenings mostly free. Additionally, my weekends will be free most weeks. In a cliients home, I would do my best to respect the environment and the pets space. Not surprising the pet or adjusting things from their usual place, like food or water bowls, to show I am not here to change pet routines but just to help them along. Additionally, gaining trust on walks and setting firm boundaries with the pet to keep myself and the pet safe when out and about.

About: I have had a cocker spaniel poodle mix for 7 years and I regularly walk, feed, and take care of him. I have also had him since he was a puppy, so I have experience training him. I have walked dogs in the past and I am currently open to housesitting gigs. I regularly do overnight petsitting for my aunt’s small dog and a nearby couple’s dog and two cats. About: I'm a retired officer, background-checked through Rover, and have more than 10 years of experience caring for my own dogs as well as friends', family members', and clients' pets. Throughout my career and personal life, responsibility, trustworthiness, and attention to detail have always been important to me, and I bring those same qualities to every pet I care for. In 2016, I adopted Barney the Shih Tzu, followed by Jack in 2019. Both were estimated to be about four years old at the time. My dogs are part of the family and spend much of their time relaxing near us, on the furniture, or curled up on a lap. Visiting pets are treated with the same level of care, attention, and companionship while in my home. Dogs are welcome on furniture unless owners request otherwise. I intentionally limit the number of guest dogs I accept at one time to help create a calm, safe, and low-stress environment. This allows me to provide close supervision and a more personalized experience than many high-volume pet care settings. If you prefer your dog to be crated for sleeping, feeding, or when unattended, I'm happy to accommodate as long as a crate is provided. Visiting dogs should be reasonably housebroken, with exceptions considered on a case-by-case basis for puppies and special circumstances. Meet-and-greets are strongly preferred whenever possible before services begin. They allow me to learn about your pet's personality, needs, and comfort level while helping determine whether my home and care style are a good fit. When caring for pets in a client's home, I respect both the pet's routine and the owner's home, providing dependable care, companionship, exercise, and attentive supervision. About: I have loved all manner of critters ever since I was little! I would jump on every opportunity to be around animals, from cleaning friends' fish tanks while they were away to taking care of horses and mucking stalls in exchange for riding lessons. We've had our lovely pup Bosco for 12 years (since he was a couple months old). Steve the cat, came to us at just 3 weeks old about 5 years ago, and we took in the newest addition to our family, Kora the cat, a year and a half ago. I currently work from home so I'll be able to spend all day hanging out with and taking care of your pals. My work is very flexible so it goes where I go and scheduling is rarely a challenge no matter the hour! It is very important to me that your best pal has a great time while in my care so if your pet is on a specific schedule don't be afraid to get detailed! I’ve also cared for many animals over the years with medical needs, so I’ve become quite adept at creative pill camouflaging, breathing mask application, and the administration of various kinds of droplets (among other things).

About: I have pet sat for my friends and family, varying from German Shepard, doodles, dachshund, and my own pugs. I think of my dogs like my own kids and I would treat yours like they were your children. Happy to pet sit and walk your dogs as I get my steps in! I currently work part time and have the capacity to check in on dogs and do overnight stays. I am happy to care for your dogs during work hours, excursions, or travel. I would walk the dogs depending on how much exercise they need and the weather. I would play with them and feed them and ensure they have plenty of water and get their potty breaks.
