I typically host one household at a time, so your dog gets my full attention, genuine affection, and all the cuddles they can handle. I spent five years volunteering at Lindsay Wildlife Rehabilitation Center, working in both the mammal department and wildlife hospital with injured and recovering animals. About: I am the proud owner of 2 rabbits so I have experience working with shy animals. I am also my family and friend's go to person for pet sitting. I am told I have a welcoming and calming vibe that pets love. I am currently in school for Medical Assisting and working Thursday -Monday. I’m available right now only Tuesday and Wednesday. My two bunnies do not make much noise so I constantly need to be watching them and what they do. They also speak with their body language so I will listen to your pets visual and audio signals. I have loved animals for as long as I could remember! Growing up in a smaller home, I was never able to own a dog of my own, but being obsessed with animals, I wouldn't let this stop me from being around them an gaining as much experience as I could by taking care of pets for friends and family throughout my life. Eventually I started working at a local doggy daycare/ pet boarding facility in Walnut Creek known as, North Main Pet Lodge. I have about a year's worth of experience working professionally with a multitude of different dog breeds and taking care of their daily needs. I've worked with both dogs and cats, and other small animals such as hamsters, rabbits, and such and know how to administer medication, bathe, feed, and do other tasks related to pet care. Staying flexible and knowing how to deal with all sorts of situations is something I have come to be very acquainted with through my work experience. Communication is of big importance to me and making sure all pet parents stay informed throughout their stay away from their pets. I also have a cat, a bearded dragon, and fish. I worked in a local dog daycare and hotel for over three years and loved it! Now that I'm in a graduate program, I couldn't keep up the hours but missed the dogs. My favorite part of that job was walking the dogs and now I'd love to walk your dog. I have had experiences with reactive dogs, dogs with specific medical needs, young dogs who are practicing training still, and senior dogs. I want to do what is most comfortable for the dog and am super happy to accommodate for any needs that they have when caring for them! I have experience reading and reacting to cat and dog body language and know when my presence is invited by them and when they might need more space. It's important to look for the animals consent and comfort when working with and taking care of them so they can remain as happy and stress free as possible!
