About: I'm a retired officer, background-checked through Rover, and have more than 10 years of experience caring for my own dogs as well as friends', family members', and clients' pets. I intentionally limit the number of guest dogs I accept at one time to help create a calm, safe, and low-stress environment. This allows me to provide close supervision and a more personalized experience than many high-volume pet care settings. If you prefer your dog to be crated for sleeping, feeding, or when unattended, I'm happy to accommodate as long as a crate is provided. Visiting dogs should be reasonably housebroken, with exceptions considered on a case-by-case basis for puppies and special circumstances. Meet-and-greets are strongly preferred whenever possible before services begin. I have loved animals for as long as I could remember! Growing up in a smaller home, I was never able to own a dog of my own, but being obsessed with animals, I wouldn't let this stop me from being around them an gaining as much experience as I could by taking care of pets for friends and family throughout my life. Eventually I started working at a local doggy daycare/ pet boarding facility in Walnut Creek known as, North Main Pet Lodge. I have about a year's worth of experience working professionally with a multitude of different dog breeds and taking care of their daily needs. I've worked with both dogs and cats, and other small animals such as hamsters, rabbits, and such and know how to administer medication, bathe, feed, and do other tasks related to pet care. Staying flexible and knowing how to deal with all sorts of situations is something I have come to be very acquainted with through my work experience. Communication is of big importance to me and making sure all pet parents stay informed throughout their stay away from their pets. Currently I am working on my finishing my degree online and no longer need to attend classes on campus. About: Hi! My name is Vivi and I love dogs. (Actually, I love all animals!) I grew up with family dogs and adopted my own last year (she's a complete sweetie). I also have a cat, a bearded dragon, and fish. I worked in a local dog daycare and hotel for over three years and loved it! Now that I'm in a graduate program, I couldn't keep up the hours but missed the dogs. My favorite part of that job was walking the dogs and now I'd love to walk your dog. I really enjoy connecting with each dog, getting to know their personalities, taking care of them, and giving them the attention, stimulation, and fun that comes from being together and enjoying the day. I am currently working on my clinical hours for my degree and am busy Monday and Wednesday after noons 1-5pm and Thursdays at the same time and at 7am-10am every other week. Any other time is all good for me! When I take care of a pet, I care for them in any ways that they might need. I have had experiences with reactive dogs, dogs with specific medical needs, young dogs who are practicing training still, and senior dogs. I want to do what is most comfortable for the dog and am super happy to accommodate for any needs that they have when caring for them!
