“Sara’s love for dogs shows how she handles Louie’s hesitation to new caretakers. She is very patient and understood Louie’s needs. I will definitely continue to book her services here in Rover.:)”

About: As a work-from-home dog mom and experienced sitter, I offer more than just pet care—I offer a second home. With a fenced yard for safe play, a cozy crate for rest, and a heart full of love, your pet becomes part of our family from day one :) Hi! I’m Iris, a loving pet enthusiast and a proud pet parent to my sweet Bacon. I work from home, which gives me the flexibility to provide attentive, reliable care for your furry family members throughout the day. With a calm, nurturing personality and a deep love for animals, I ensure your pets feel safe, happy, and well-cared-for in your absence. Whether it's cuddles, playtime, or regular walks, I treat every pet like my own! Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I have a fully fenced yard for secure outdoor play and exercise, as well as an extra crate available if your dog prefers a cozy, enclosed space to rest. My home is clean, calm, and pet-friendly, and in a great neighborhood offering a safe environment where your furry friend will feel right at home.
“Natalie was great for my dog Buster who is newly adopted. She showed she was comfortable and confident right off the bat and I appreciated that. She really helped me out in a pinch!”

About: I offer calm, personalized care in a quiet home where your dog is treated like family, not one of many in a busy boarding facility or a home with multiple dogs. I typically host one household at a time, so your dog gets my full attention, genuine affection, and all the cuddles they can handle. My home is the right fit for friendly dogs who love companionship, walks, and settling into a peaceful routine. I'm especially drawn to dogs who thrive with one-on-one attention rather than the noise and energy of a busy multi-dog environment. I'm certified in Pet CPR, Healing Touch for Animals, and Reiki. And beyond the credentials, I'm deeply attuned to each dog's personality and energy. That attunement is what helps them settle in quickly and feel genuinely at ease. My connection to animals runs deep. I spent five years volunteering at Lindsay Wildlife Rehabilitation Center, working in both the mammal department and wildlife hospital with injured and recovering animals. That experience sharpened my understanding of animal behavior and reinforced something I already believed: animals feel safety before they understand it. My goal is always to create that feeling from the moment your dog arrives! Because I work from home, pets in my care are rarely left alone for long periods and receive plenty of attention, walks, and companionship throughout the day. When pets stay in my home, they become part of a calm and comfortable daily routine. I primarily host dogs from 1 household at a time so each pet receives plenty of individual attention. Dogs here enjoy daily walks, playtime, and relaxed downtime, and I’m home much of the day since I work from home. I pay close attention to each pet’s personality and needs so they feel safe and settled. For drop-in visits or walks in a client’s home, I follow the pet’s normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding, fresh water, walks, litter care for cats, playtime, and companionship. I’m happy to send photo updates so owners know their pets are doing well.
“Jenna is our senior lab’s weekly dog walker. She provides excellent communication with how our pup is doing and shows Sadie the same care she would give her own dogs. Thank you, Jenna, for being such a reliable, helpful caregiver for our girl 🐶”

“Vanessa is friendly, communicative, and reliable. I really appreciated how patient she was in allowing my pup Leo to take his time warming up to her—it made a big difference. Highly recommend!”

“"I couldn't be happier with their service. I was nervous about finding the right walker for my kids pup, but they were incredibly patient and gentle. Fantastic service! They are dependable, trustworthy, and go above and beyond to make sure my dog gets plenty of exercise I will be back in the future”

“Telena was wonderful! She eased all of my nerves with a new fig that is an escape artist. She have regular updates a photos, she made sure our dog went to the bathroom, and kept her company when she was apprehensive and excitable. She’s a wonderful dog walker and sitter!”

About: I grew up with dogs, cats, bunnies, reptiles, and horses (hunter/jumper 20 plus years) and can't imagine a life without animals. Until recently, I've been a busy professional who often relied on others to help when I couldn’t be there myself for my fur babies. Now, I want to be that person for you! I'm a well-known morning regular at the local dog park in Benicia, and have often been trusted with the care of our dog friends and family, be it walks, bringing them to and from the park, doggie daycare, and overnights at my house. I would now like to offer my loving services to others in our community. My partner and I live in a beautiful home with our own 25 pound fur babe, Ursa, a perfectly lovely Muppet (see photos) who absolutely loves everyone - human or animal. We have a spacious and well-fenced back yard perfect for playing, as well as a doggo playroom equipped with cameras, beds, and plenty of toys. I have had and cared for special needs animals that require custom diets, exercise, medication (including injectables), and have cared for seniors through the always heartbreaking end of life stage. While I've trained many animals, I do not consider myself a professional trainer, but would be more than happy to continue any training exercises your animals require to ensure they don't miss a beat on learning. Just let me know what you need and how I can be if assistance. Yours and your animal's wellbeing and happiness are if utmost importance to me. How can I help you today? I'm currently available 7 days a week for walking, in-home visits, dog park excursions, full daytime care, and overnights. I take my own girl to the park every morning and we would love for your friendly fur babe to join us! If they prefer 1:1 interactions with a playful doggo, or just a playful human, we are available for all of it. I have a friendly 25 pound Muppet of a dog who would love to play (no aggression or possessive behavior) in our spacious, well-fenced back yard, as well as an indoor play space on poor weather days. We do have medium and large crates available, if preferred, as well as plenty of toys and soft beds to keep your fur babe happy and healthy. If they prefer solo time, I'm happy to join them at your home for companion visits or walks, or have the means to separate our girl if needed at our house.
About: I’ve been fostering cats for about a year now and it’s been amazing! I want to take this to another level and help out cat owners whenever they need a sitter for one or more days :) I’m currently a student from UC Riverside! I’m practically home almost 90% of the weekdays and 100% at home during the weekends! I study mostly at home so it would be perfect having a study buddy! I have the materials to feed and help the cat adapt a lot easier. If any clients want specific requests like certain types of foods, drinks, or toys, I’d be happy to accommodate for that!
“Gerald is a great dog walker Friendly and reliable. I was in town pet sitting and didn’t feel confident to walk such and energetic dog ! Gerald responded to my Rover request. Couldn’t have asked for a better Dog Walker”

About: I don’t have any animals that live with my daughter and I which means when your gone and we get to care for your pet we get to give them all that love and attention she/he deserves. I’ve pet sitted since I was like 12, house sat since I was 16. I have my own house, I’m just trying to get a little extra cash and teach my daughter all the lovely duties behind having an animal around. Also, to help her understand all the responsibilities in having a home and that money doesn’t come easy. You have to work for it. My daughter won’t be around every visit. But eventually when she’s older I’d like her to dog sit to become more responsible. Hope to meet y’all soon.

About: I’ve always had a special connection with animals since I was a child. Throughout my life, I’ve cared for rabbits, ducks, chickens, fish, hamsters, dogs, and cats. My beloved Chihuahuas and kitties have since crossed the rainbow bridge, but I truly believe they would want me to continue sharing my love and compassion with other animals. I’m a caring, gentle person who enjoys talking to, playing with, and spending quality time with animals. I understand that every pet has their own unique personality and needs, and I look forward to making your fur baby feel safe, loved, and cared for while you’re away. Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Benicia
Natalie was patient and kind with my somewhat awkward and nervous pups. They took to her right away (thanks, snacks!) and went right out. We are testing the waters to have them walked while someone is home to relive anxiety and she has no problems at all. Natalie is kind and respectful to the nervous mom, too. Thank you!

Telena does an amazing job walking our 4-year-old collie with back and hip issues, even in our very hilly neighborhood. She’s very sensitive to signs that he needs to stop and head home, and I know that he enjoys his walks because he gets excited every time her car pulls up. She has a true gift with dogs!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
