“Kolten and Julia were responsive and took excellent care of Dexter. This was our first time using Rover and they made sure it was an excellent one. The sent many pictures of Dexter during his stay. They made the experience very simple which helped us from worrying.”

“Had an absolutely amazing experience having Amanda and Michell watch our Lucy. We’d never left a pet with strangers before, and they couldn’t have made the process more comfortable. Amanda sent daily photos and a brief note on what they did that day. Lucy got to go on many long walks and hikes, and really became part of their family. At the end of her stay, we received a report card on Lucy’s behavior, which was the cutest thing ever. Without hesitation, I’d use Amanda and Michell again, and highly recommend them to anyone needing a pet sitter.”

“Natalie was amazing. She took such great care of my dog and kept me updated with pictures and messages, which gave me so much peace of mind. It was clear that my dog was happy, comfortable, and well cared for the entire time. I really appreciate how reliable, kind, and attentive she was. I would definitely book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy to care for their pet. Thank you so much! 🐾🩵”

“Malia is great! She communicated well before, during, and after our Barkley's stay with her. She took great care to ease my anxiety about leaving my pet for the first time. I highly recommend her!”

“Excellent! Our senior dog and puppy both loved their stay. We got lots of pictures and videos while we were away. I felt in the loop the whole time. He answered my question quickly. Helpful reminders and easy drop off and pick up.”

“Stefanile is a great sitter. She was incredibly accommodating and patient in dealing with my dog—a rather shy, introverted, and somewhat challenging dog. Given her deep understanding of canine personalities and traits, as well as her extensive experience as a sitter, I was able to entrust Chaco to her care with peace of mind. She sent updates and photos, making communication very easy. Thank you!”

“This was our first time leaving our puppy behind and Karen was amazing! She sent plenty of updates and pictures showing us how Cooper was doing and he looked like he was having the best time in every picture! He was well taken care of and we will definitely bring him back whenever we need a sitter again.”

“Ashish was an amazing Dog Sitter. I was leaving my eight month old puppy for 15 days and was very nervous. As soon as I dropped my dog off with Ashish I felt completely comfortable. He went above and beyond The duty and sending videos and pictures I could see from those pictures and videos that Ari was very well taken care of. I will definitely be using him for all my future trips. Ashish gave me peace of mind when I needed it most.”
“Lovely people took care of our dog even after a last minute and urgent request. I was nervous and was immediately put at ease. They are a super nice family with enough space and outdoor access for our 20lb dog. I would leave our dog with them again.”

“This whole process of pet sitting was unfamiliar and a whole new experience for us but Nadine welcomed us into her home like family which made it all easy. Romeo felt so comfortable during our arrival that as she opened the door he let himself right in and didn't look back. Romeo stayed for 5 nights and Nadine kept us updated regularly communicating by messages and sending us memorable photos of him and her pups while on our vacation. Romeo looked so comfortable and happy to be part of the group. We felt our dog was being well taken care of as Romeo was her own. Her family and pups did a great job keeping him comfortable and happy which put us at ease while we were thousands of miles away from home. I highly recommend Nadine and will be going back to her in the future! Thank you so much!!”

“Donna has been such a gem. She is very flexible. My Coco has special needs with medication and particular eating habits. Donna took great care of Coco while I was gone. It gave me such piece of mind. We are lucky to have found such a compassionate sitter.”

“Our dog's stay with Chris was amazing! He took such great care of her during our week away. We received updates with multiple photos every day to know how she was doing, which definitely helped us feel more secure with her care. Chris took our pup for walks every day, played with her often, and even gave her goodies in her food bowl to help her eat better. Thank you so much for hosting our pup and taking terrific care of her all week! We look forward to using you again!”
“Barsha was so great with our little guy. She’s very intentional with her care and kept us posted on our French bulldog’s progress. Our little guy came home so happy and we will definitely use Barsha’s services again. Book her!”

“Another great stay for my dog! I feel so comfortable having my pup stay with Huda. I know she genuinely loves him and goes above and beyond to care for him. She walks him and makes sure he has lots of play time and love. She even got him a birthday gift. He is excited to see her and is happy when I arrive to get him. I am grateful to have found Huda. She’s fantastic!”

“Liam and Nadia did a great job of keeping us in the loop with Archer. He seems to have adjusted well and has come home a happy boy! We will happily book again with them in the future ❤️”

“Styles loves his time at Peter's house.. So much play time. The back yard is doggy paradise. Peter went out of his way to pamper my dog and even supplemented his food when I underestimated. Five Stars!”

About: I bring more than 20 years of professional experience in veterinary medicine and animal welfare, caring for pets and supporting the people who love them. My background includes veterinary hospital leadership and many years with the San Francisco SPCA, and I'm also Fear Free Certified. I have extensive experience with pets of all ages, personalities, and needs, including puppies, seniors, anxious or fearful pets, multi-pet households, medication routines, and pets who may need a little extra patience and attention. My Fear Free training helps me recognize signs of fear, anxiety, and stress and adjust my approach so each pet can feel as safe and comfortable as possible. My veterinary background also means I pay attention to the little things. I'm accustomed to noticing changes in behavior, appetite, mobility, energy, or overall wellbeing and communicating concerns promptly. Most importantly, I know how much trust it takes to leave your pet in someone else's care. I'll treat your pets like they're my own, follow their routines closely, and make sure you get plenty of updates and photos while you're away. My schedule is currently very flexible, which gives me plenty of availability for walks, drop-in visits, and pet sitting throughout the week. I'm available weekdays and weekends and can accommodate morning, daytime, and evening visits. I also understand how important consistency is for pets, so I'll do my best to keep their normal feeding, walking, medication, and bedtime routines intact while you're away. With more than 20 years of experience in veterinary medicine and animal welfare and Fear Free certification, I'm very comfortable caring for pets with different personalities, behaviors, ages, and needs. When caring for pets in your home, I'll follow your instructions closely and treat your home with the same care and respect I'd want someone to show mine. I'll double-check doors, gates, leashes, and other safety details, keep your pet's environment clean, and provide detailed updates and photos so you always know how things are going. I know you're trusting me with two things that matter enormously—your pet and your home—and I don't take either responsibility lightly.
“Justine was a fantastic sitter. Our dog had a wonderful time with Justine and her family. We loved the frequent updates with pictures and videos, and Justine asked great questions ahead of her stay to ensure she knew our dog and her quirks. We will definitely book with Justine again and highly recommend her.”

“Tessa is truly a hidden gem! Not only did she take wonderful care of our cats and shower them with attention, but she also looked after our home and plants beautifully. She responded quickly to our messages, and when we returned, the house was spotless, as if she had never been there. We couldn’t recommend her more highly!”

“Mandy did a great job of taking care of my kitten Clara while I was away. She played with her and made sure she had all her needs met. The pictures were wonderful to see when I was far away! Thank you Mandy.”

“Linda was very gracious and flexible to help out when I made last-minute plans to my trip. She continued to send daily photos of my kitty Scooter during daily check-ins, which left me feeling relieved to see him getting some socialization. Loved the videos she sent of her petting and talking to him!”

“Nancy was great with our Gus. Although he is 8 years old, this was the first time he was home by himself for an extended period so we wanted to make sure he got lots of love and visits. Nancy sent us pictures and updates while we were gone. We could tell Gus enjoyed her visits and he was well taken care of.”

About: Cats have a special place in my heart. When taking neighborhood walks, I'll stop for any cat that wants a pet. My friends call me the cat whisperer because I can get even the most shy cat to warm up to me. I've had cats since I was 7 years old and currently have a fluffy tuxedo whose litter box is cleaned daily and who gets brushed, fed, and played with every day.

About: I've taken care of cats and even helped train them since I was a toddler. I absolutely love caring for cats. I’m very patient and gentle, and I give them time to warm up at their own pace. I’m often told, “They never come out for people,” or “How did you get them to play? They’re usually so shy!” I truly enjoy getting to know each cat’s personality and routine so they feel comfortable, curious, and secure while you’re away.

“Super easy to work with and great communication, we really appreciate Huyhanna helping us out on short notice to look in on the kitty! Kitty is shy with everyone, but it was great to know she's okay and she's always reassured to have someone stop by. Look forward to working with Huyhanna again!”

About: As a cat parent myself (10+ years and multiple kitties), I know our fur babies have their own unique needs and personalities. Whether your cat is a shy window watcher, a chatty cuddle bug, or a midnight speed racer I tailor my care to match their vibe. I’m comfortable with feeding routines, litter box maintenance, medication (including oral meds), and giving cats space when they need it. I make sure they feel safe, stimulated, and loved while you’re away. Plus, I’ll send you updates with plenty of photos! (because every cat parent deserves a daily dose of whiskers 😸)
About: I have worked at 2 dog facilities, The Meadows Canine Camp in Santa Rosa and I currently work at the Milo Foundation where I walk and adopt out dogs. I currently have a foster named Grayson (boxer) who is good with small dogs and I also own a small Maltese mix named Swiffer. I love animals and I am very qualified to take care of your pet while you are away. Cant wait to meet them! I work at the Milo Foundation in point Richmond. I normally work Tuesday-Saturday but we will soon be closed for renovations for the month of September. I will be very available to pet sitting and boarding as I will be working from home the entire month of September! While walking, your pets safety is my number one priority and I will make sure to walk in areas deemed appropriate by clients. Having dogs of my own, I understand the importance on keeping them safe when out. I also like to use a harnesses when walking to avoid a dogs collar slipping and possibility of getting loose.
About: I have been dog sitting and house sitting since I was around 10 and have helped a lot of neighbors, friends, and family. I love training puppies the basics like sit and shake. I am currently in college but I do it all online so I have plenty of time to play and take care of the animals. I try my best to accommodate the animal I am watching by playing with their toys, feeding them as scheduled, and taking them on walks.

About: pss pss… I absolutely ADORE cats! I have a ton of flexibility within my freelance schedule right now and my 14-year-old snuggle queen of a kitty is super low maintenance. I’d love to help out with providing excellent cat care to anyone who may need it in the area (and within a ~20 mile radius from Crockett, CA or so) as it brings me a lot of joy and I know how difficult it can be to trust others with our fur babies. They’ll be in compassionate, playful, attentive hands! I also provide dog sitting and care for other pets and homes. *I will be unavailable August 29,2026–September 16, 2026 — I am very interested in providing my services prior to this date, please reach out if you’re interested in booking!* Happy to answer any and all questions. Thanks.

Perfect for high energy dogs - Benicia
Prices are estimates per day for 1 dog. Pricing may vary based on your search and includes a booking fee of 11%.
About: I grew up as the daughter of a professional dog trainer, so thoughtful, attentive dog care has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. My partner Mitch and I genuinely love having dogs in our home, and we aim to give every guest safe, loving, individualized care. Our sweet 15-year-old dog, Chunk, is a gentle and easygoing host. We also have a cat, so we’re unable to accept dogs with a history of aggression toward dogs or cats. What a stay with us looks like: • Individualized care for puppies, seniors, high-energy, reactive, and special-needs dogs • A comfortable home setting with a secure fenced yard, cozy resting spots, frequent potty breaks, and plenty of companionship • Daily exercise and enrichment tailored to your dog’s interests, from sniff walks and fetch to hikes, puzzles, and light training practice • Extra safety precautions, including a tracking collar during their stay and long leads for safe outdoor exploration • Thoughtful daily updates with high-quality photos and notes about how your dog is doing • Attentive routine care, including medications, post-adventure checks, basic grooming, and close attention to behavior and wellbeing • A fresh send-off, with brushing, ear and paw care, a gentle freshen-up, and washed bedding, blankets, or toys when needed I’m trained in canine CPR and happy to reinforce basic manners while following your preferred training methods. Every guest also goes home with a personalized stay report card with highlights, routines, favorite activities, and a few memorable moments from their visit. Our goal is simple: for your dog to feel less like they’re being boarded and more like they’re staying at a summer camp designed just for them. I work from home so I can be as available as your dog needs. My partner also is home for most of the day, and only works in the evenings so one of us is almost always home. We live surrounded by trails and parks so your dog will have ample adventures during their stay. Every dog will be treated with the same love and care as if they were our own. We have a large fenced yard that they are free to roam, and a cozy home with dog beds everywhere. We allow dogs on couch and bed, though I can maintain any rules you have in your home for consistency. We do also have a cat so we cannot accept any dogs that are in any way aggressive towards cats or small critters.
“Baoying was great with Louie! She provided playtime and exercise for my very playful pet. I also like the way her pet matches Louie’s energy, Louie is a lot calmer when i picked him up.”

“Kushram and Family are a wonderful find for dog sitting or doggy day care. Give the initial booking request a bit of lead time, as the confirmation that the day/time works may take up to a day to come through. This time I put in a request 9:30pm on a Saturday, and got confirmation Sunday evening. (I suspect requests are processed daily). The initial booking request was the largest gap we experienced in communication, scheduling the meet and greet by messages was easy - they were very responsive and want to ensure you and your pup will be comfortable with their set up and go over any special needs of the dog. Our elder pup Rick was drawn to Kushram and the whole family even on the meet and greet (I think just his wife and adult nephew), as well the drop off day of, and they were able to make him comfortable enough to eat even on a short visit. Given our short booking (only about 3 hrs) we can't really comment on long term pictures/communication during the visit, but I can say I feel pretty happy that I found some place local where I feel comfortable leaving my dog when I need to go somewhere. They also have some experience with some dog special needs, but can help best when they know about it ahead of time. They were not concerned or put off in the slightest by our pups needs (mostly that he's pretty clingy, can get cold easily, and only has 3 teeth and will only eat small pieces of food, and doesn't love hanging out with other dogs), and described other dogs they had watched with similar or more challenging needs such as dog-sitting a blind dog in a new space. Thank you for taking good care of our pup!”

“First day care for Megatron was a success! Thank you Connie for the regular updates with pictures. Left us reassured that she’s having a good time with the other pups. Thanks again!”

“William is great with Louie! He treated Louie just the way he cares for his own fur babies. He was available on short notice, and sent me pictures of Louie while I was at work. That really put me at ease knowing that Louie is having a great tome.:)”

“Best dog care experience I have ever had! Blueberry was handled with the utmost professional care and exceeded my expectations. Vanson is so attentive to my dog's personal needs by ensuring she is given her treats I provided and following any instructions given. He has a wonderful backyard with sweet doggos of his own who are very playful and got along great with my dog. He ensures a wonderful experience for both my dog and myself. Took my dog on walks which I could see in the Rover app and sent pics throughout the day of my dog. Such peace of mind! My dog didn't even want to go home with me after having such a good time. Book with Vanson, you will not regret it!”

“Emma was wonderful. She took great care of Poppy for the day while we attended the memorial services for our friend in San Francisco. Emma sent photos and a video to let us know everything was going OK. Poppy is shy and can be skittish around new situations and Emma was super accommodating.”

“Thank you Mellise for taking care of my three pups. Bonnie, Princess & Luna enjoyed their time at your place. You had the space, the patience and love for them 3. God bless you”

“Sara’s love for dogs shows how she handles Louie’s hesitation to new caretakers. She is very patient and understood Louie’s needs. I will definitely continue to book her services here in Rover.:)”

About: I grew up with animals all my life. From cats and dogs to parrots, mice, sugar gliders etc. I own 2 dogs myself and love them with all my heart. I’m comfortable with different temperaments and ages. I fostered and volunteered at several shelters throughout my life. I love animals and will make sure to take care of yours like my own. I have a flexible schedule and own a vehicle which makes same day bookings a breeze. If you ever need someone to help I’m there :) My dogs are spoiled and loved. I keep them safe and healthy. I would do my best to take care of your pets like you want me to.
“Natalie was flexible with scheduling, especially with only a few days advanced notice. She was punctual and able to walk my occasionally reactive dog. It’s hard for us to leave him but I knew he was in good hands based on a prior experience. I will absolutely book her again. Thank you Natalie!”

“"I couldn't be happier with their service. I was nervous about finding the right walker for my kids pup, but they were incredibly patient and gentle. Fantastic service! They are dependable, trustworthy, and go above and beyond to make sure my dog gets plenty of exercise I will be back in the future”

About: I offer calm, personalized care in a quiet home where your dog is treated like family, not one of many in a busy boarding facility or a home with multiple dogs. I typically host one household at a time, so your dog gets my full attention, genuine affection, and all the cuddles they can handle. My home is the right fit for friendly dogs who love companionship, walks, and settling into a peaceful routine. I'm especially drawn to dogs who thrive with one-on-one attention rather than the noise and energy of a busy multi-dog environment. I'm certified in Pet CPR, Healing Touch for Animals, and Reiki. And beyond the credentials, I'm deeply attuned to each dog's personality and energy. That attunement is what helps them settle in quickly and feel genuinely at ease. My connection to animals runs deep. I spent five years volunteering at Lindsay Wildlife Rehabilitation Center, working in both the mammal department and wildlife hospital with injured and recovering animals. That experience sharpened my understanding of animal behavior and reinforced something I already believed: animals feel safety before they understand it. My goal is always to create that feeling from the moment your dog arrives! Because I work from home, pets in my care are rarely left alone for long periods and receive plenty of attention, walks, and companionship throughout the day. When pets stay in my home, they become part of a calm and comfortable daily routine. I primarily host dogs from 1 household at a time so each pet receives plenty of individual attention. Dogs here enjoy daily walks, playtime, and relaxed downtime, and I’m home much of the day since I work from home. I pay close attention to each pet’s personality and needs so they feel safe and settled. For drop-in visits or walks in a client’s home, I follow the pet’s normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding, fresh water, walks, litter care for cats, playtime, and companionship. I’m happy to send photo updates so owners know their pets are doing well.

“Telena does an amazing job walking our 4-year-old collie with back and hip issues, even in our very hilly neighborhood. She’s very sensitive to signs that he needs to stop and head home, and I know that he enjoys his walks because he gets excited every time her car pulls up. She has a true gift with dogs!”

About: I grew up with dogs, cats, bunnies, reptiles, and horses (hunter/jumper 20 plus years) and can't imagine a life without animals. Until recently, I've been a busy professional who often relied on others to help when I couldn’t be there myself for my fur babies. Now, I want to be that person for you! I'm a well-known morning regular at the local dog park in Benicia, and have often been trusted with the care of our dog friends and family, be it walks, bringing them to and from the park, doggie daycare, and overnights at my house. I would now like to offer my loving services to others in our community. My partner and I live in a beautiful home with our own 25 pound fur babe, Ursa, a perfectly lovely Muppet (see photos) who absolutely loves everyone - human or animal. We have a spacious and well-fenced back yard perfect for playing, as well as a doggo playroom equipped with cameras, beds, and plenty of toys. I have had and cared for special needs animals that require custom diets, exercise, medication (including injectables), and have cared for seniors through the always heartbreaking end of life stage. While I've trained many animals, I do not consider myself a professional trainer, but would be more than happy to continue any training exercises your animals require to ensure they don't miss a beat on learning. Just let me know what you need and how I can be if assistance. Yours and your animal's wellbeing and happiness are if utmost importance to me. How can I help you today? I'm currently available 7 days a week for walking, in-home visits, dog park excursions, full daytime care, and overnights. I take my own girl to the park every morning and we would love for your friendly fur babe to join us! If they prefer 1:1 interactions with a playful doggo, or just a playful human, we are available for all of it. I have a friendly 25 pound Muppet of a dog who would love to play (no aggression or possessive behavior) in our spacious, well-fenced back yard, as well as an indoor play space on poor weather days. We do have medium and large crates available, if preferred, as well as plenty of toys and soft beds to keep your fur babe happy and healthy. If they prefer solo time, I'm happy to join them at your home for companion visits or walks, or have the means to separate our girl if needed at our house.

I will use leash and follow whatever rules you set. I can easily crate your dog if needed.
About: Hi, I’m Joe — a lifelong dog lover who treats every pup like my own… right down to the love, the cuddles, and the occasional meatball. I’m home all day, so your dog gets constant attention, companionship, and plenty of affection. My home is relaxed and dog-friendly, with a big, fully fenced yard for safe play, sniffing adventures, and stretching their legs. Inside, pups can lounge wherever they feel comfortable — the couch, their bed, or right next to us. At night, everyone’s welcome in the bedroom, whether they prefer their own spot or decide mine looks more comfortable. (It usually does.) Being home all day means your dog gets frequent potty breaks, a calm routine, and tons of quality time. I send regular photo updates so you can see exactly how well your pup is settling in. Along with boarding, I also offer drop-in visits, in-home sitting, and dog walking, giving you flexible and reliable care options. If you’re looking for someone who will genuinely love, spoil, and treat your dog like family — with all the comfort and maybe a meatball or two — I’d be honored to welcome them. I am home full-time, allowing me to provide constant supervision and care. Pet care seamlessly fits into my routine through regular walks, attention, and companionship. In my home, dogs enjoy a large fenced yard, supervised play, and full comfort—allowed on furniture, loved like family, and welcome to sleep beside us.

About: I’ve been caring for my own pets (dogs and cats) since I was a toddler as well as friends and family. I have a passion for caring for and creating friendly and stimulating environments for animals! I currently work part time and I am a student at UC Santa Barbara looking to make some extra income to pay for my schooling. I would love to care for your pets over the holidays! I will follow any guidelines given to me by the owner in order to ensure their pets safety. I can crate, feed, walk, and drop in on dogs or cats for potty breaks and litter checks when needed.

“Malia is great! She communicated well before, during, and after our Barkley's stay with her. She took great care to ease my anxiety about leaving my pet for the first time. I highly recommend her!”

“Styles loves his time at Peter's house.. So much play time. The back yard is doggy paradise. Peter went out of his way to pamper my dog and even supplemented his food when I underestimated. Five Stars!”

“Maria & Kevan along with their wonderful girls were amazing petsitters for our Labrador Retreiver, Louie. From the moment I dropped off Louie and met them, I could tell he was going to be completely comfortable, well-cared for, and loved for the duration of his 10 day stay with their family. Receiving a photo or two of Louie each day was amazing and it was heartwarming to see Louie so happy getting lots of snuggles, playtime with his toys, neighborhood walks, and peaceful naps at their feet. Thank you so much to Maria & Kevan and their daughters for making Louie feel like a part of their family! Louie can't wait to visit again!”

“Sofia and Jonathan are the nicest family. We were gone for a long time on an international trip to visit family in France. And it was a relief to know that our dog and bunny were well taken care of. They spent 17 days with them and we got plenty of updates and photos. Would use them again and recommend them to anyone.”

“What a wonderful and caring boarding experience! I could tell that she truly cared for my dog and shared many sweet anecdotes during my pet’s stay at her house. I know she was in good and loving hands. I will definitely use this sitter again if needed!”

“Lyra has stayed with Ulunma multiple times and we feel secure knowing she is in good hands each time. Ulunma pays attention to Lyra’s basic needs as well as any changes in her day to day habits. She’s communicative and is great about sharing pictures while we’re away. Lyra will be back for more stays!”

“Joseph and Marikris came through on a last-minute reservation and provided exceptional levels of care for my special needs dog. My dog Daisy had been recently diagnosed with IVDD and I was prepared to cancel my trip, but Marikris assured me of her professional veterinary background and familiarity with the condition, and I felt confident trusting J&M with her care. Daisy looked so happy in all the photos they shared, and I feel truly blessed to have found such kind and attentive neighbors to care for my girl. Thank you so much Joseph & Marikris, you guys are amazing and I look forward to working together again 🙌”

“Ross was awesome! From our initial meeting, he asked all the right questions about the care and personality of my pup. During my pups stay, Ross was great about sending daily photos and updates on how my little guy was managing with my absence. I could see from the photos that my pup and Ross's pup were getting along really well... This left me feeling very comfortable that my pup was enjoying his 'vacation'. Thanks so much Ross! We look forward to Baxter staying with you again soon!”

“Lisa is great! She was so good with our puppy, Buck when he stayed with her for a few nights. She provided a safe and fun place for him to run and play with her own dogs, sent regular updates and pictures, and gave him so much love and attention. We’ll definitely use her again and recommend her to everyone.”
