“Jenna has been walking my girl Ellie while my foot is broken and she has been absolute life saver! She’s keeping Ellie safe while making sure she gets the exercise she needs and I couldn’t be more grateful.”

About: Hi, I’m Joe — a lifelong dog lover who treats every pup like my own… right down to the love, the cuddles, and the occasional meatball. I’m home all day, so your dog gets constant attention, companionship, and plenty of affection. My home is relaxed and dog-friendly, with a big, fully fenced yard for safe play, sniffing adventures, and stretching their legs. Inside, pups can lounge wherever they feel comfortable — the couch, their bed, or right next to us. At night, everyone’s welcome in the bedroom, whether they prefer their own spot or decide mine looks more comfortable. (It usually does.) Being home all day means your dog gets frequent potty breaks, a calm routine, and tons of quality time. I send regular photo updates so you can see exactly how well your pup is settling in. Along with boarding, I also offer drop-in visits, in-home sitting, and dog walking, giving you flexible and reliable care options. If you’re looking for someone who will genuinely love, spoil, and treat your dog like family — with all the comfort and maybe a meatball or two — I’d be honored to welcome them. I am home full-time, allowing me to provide constant supervision and care. Pet care seamlessly fits into my routine through regular walks, attention, and companionship. In my home, dogs enjoy a large fenced yard, supervised play, and full comfort—allowed on furniture, loved like family, and welcome to sleep beside us.
About: I’ve been surrounded by dogs my whole life. Puppies, middle age and the seniors. I have experience with all breeds and ages. I’ve worked with many dogs in the past and was lucky enough to have dogs in my house growing up. I already have a set schedule with my dogs. We walk twice a day. They are fed after the first morning walk and fed after the second walk in the evening. And of course playtime all day. I put my dogs first they’re my priority. I have a nice big fenced yard that is very shaded. I live downtown, walking distance to the marina and dog park. I do allow dogs in my bed and on the furniture. But I have lots of dog beds around the house if they that’s what they prefer!
About: I offer calm, personalized care in a quiet home where your dog is treated like family, not one of many in a busy boarding facility or a home with multiple dogs. I typically host one household at a time, so your dog gets my full attention, genuine affection, and all the cuddles they can handle. My home is the right fit for friendly dogs who love companionship, walks, and settling into a peaceful routine. I'm especially drawn to dogs who thrive with one-on-one attention rather than the noise and energy of a busy multi-dog environment. I'm certified in Pet CPR, Healing Touch for Animals, and Reiki. And beyond the credentials, I'm deeply attuned to each dog's personality and energy. That attunement is what helps them settle in quickly and feel genuinely at ease. My connection to animals runs deep. I spent five years volunteering at Lindsay Wildlife Rehabilitation Center, working in both the mammal department and wildlife hospital with injured and recovering animals. That experience sharpened my understanding of animal behavior and reinforced something I already believed: animals feel safety before they understand it. My goal is always to create that feeling from the moment your dog arrives! Because I work from home, pets in my care are rarely left alone for long periods and receive plenty of attention, walks, and companionship throughout the day. When pets stay in my home, they become part of a calm and comfortable daily routine. I primarily host dogs from 1 household at a time so each pet receives plenty of individual attention. Dogs here enjoy daily walks, playtime, and relaxed downtime, and I’m home much of the day since I work from home. I pay close attention to each pet’s personality and needs so they feel safe and settled. For drop-in visits or walks in a client’s home, I follow the pet’s normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding, fresh water, walks, litter care for cats, playtime, and companionship. I’m happy to send photo updates so owners know their pets are doing well.
“Wonderful! Christopher is communicative, reliable, and great with dogs! He has so helpful with my puppy’s occasional pulling on the leash and does a combo of running and walking when he’s out.”

“Telena does an amazing job walking our 4-year-old collie with back and hip issues, even in our very hilly neighborhood. She’s very sensitive to signs that he needs to stop and head home, and I know that he enjoys his walks because he gets excited every time her car pulls up. She has a true gift with dogs!”

“Raul has been so good with my dog Willow. I was worried she would have too much energy but he handles her perfectly. I never worry when she's with him. Willow looks forward to her walks each time!”

“Stephanie was a wonderful walker for our two dogs while we were out of the country visiting my husband's parents. Very kind, communicative, and supportive with my mother-in-law who needed a little extra help and was watching our dogs for us. Highly recommend!”

About: Currently taking reservation for memorial Day, July 4th (June 30-July 7th), Labor Day!! Hello! My name is Hosana and I am currently an undergraduate college student at UCSD. I have loved animals for as long as I could remember! Growing up in a smaller home, I was never able to own a dog of my own, but being obsessed with animals, I wouldn't let this stop me from being around them an gaining as much experience as I could by taking care of pets for friends and family throughout my life. Eventually I started working at a local doggy daycare/ pet boarding facility in Walnut Creek known as, North Main Pet Lodge. I have about a year's worth of experience working professionally with a multitude of different dog breeds and taking care of their daily needs. I've worked with both dogs and cats, and other small animals such as hamsters, rabbits, and such and know how to administer medication, bathe, feed, and do other tasks related to pet care. Staying flexible and knowing how to deal with all sorts of situations is something I have come to be very acquainted with through my work experience. Communication is of big importance to me and making sure all pet parents stay informed throughout their stay away from their pets. Currently I am working on my finishing my degree online and no longer need to attend classes on campus. Therefore I will be in the bay area permanently and am looking to work with those who need the occasional sitter. Have been actively sitting for my clients since 2025. Please feel free to contact me and help this college student out with your business, as I also look forward to spending time with your pets! Thanks for reading :) Currently taking online classes. Would be ideal for pet parents who want someone to be at the house often, but also able to step away for 1-4 hrs a few days of the weekdays. Weekends I am always available all day. Almost always at home for morning, afternoon potty breaks, evening, overnight. When in a client's home, the pet's safety and health are my number one concern. With my experience, I have learned several tricks that help with a variety of temperaments and personalities that each dog has. I also believe in being respectful of my client's homes and will take that very seriously. Overall, any specific concerns or lists can be communicated to me and I will make sure to keep an open line of communication.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
