About: I'm excited to meet new pets and their people! While I'm new to Rover, I'm not new to caring for animals. I have over 20 years of professional experience caring for pets and homes, along with a lifetime of loving animals of my own. Animals have been part of my life since childhood. I've cared for dogs of every size, age, and personality, as well as cats, birds, and other small animals. Most recently, I spent four years living in Hawaii with my own dog, cat, and bird, and have cared for pets throughout the Bay Area, including Marin, San Francisco, Oakland, Contra Costa, and Napa. I'm an outdoor enthusiast who loves mountain biking, hiking, camping, and exploring nature. If your dog enjoys adventure and you're comfortable with it, I'm happy to include longer walks or outdoor adventures tailored to their energy level. During COVID, while my massage therapy practice was on pause, I got a certification in canine massage, deepening my understanding of canine anatomy, mobility, and comfort. She sent lots of pictures and did a great job of keeping them walked and exercised— and it’s not easy to walk the two of them together as they are both pullers while on leash and strong! For drop-in visits or walks in a client’s home, I follow the pet’s normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding, fresh water, walks, litter care for cats, playtime, and companionship. “Myra was the BEST! Our Akita, Koa, isn’t always the easiest or friendliest fella but he took to Myra very quickly! Myra understood his little quirks and asked appropriate questions during the meet and greet. Koa is a big guy - so having someone who feels confident in walking a big dog was huge for us. Myra was just that!!! Totally reliable. Koa got his walks, spent plenty of time outside and seemed to have a great time with Myra. Myra also sent pictures and updates often which was so great for me and helped me relax much more on vacation. About: I've had pets most of my life - cats, dogs, and even a snake. My wife and I had a dog who passed a couple of years ago, and now we have two dogs who are 2 and almost 2. I'm a middle school teacher, and my wife works from home, so someone will be with the dogs most of the time if they're at our house. We're comfortable with dogs of any age and can handle excitable puppy energy, as well as provide medications. If your dog(s) are at our house, they'll get to run and play with our dogs, who rarely meet a dog they don't like. I'm a teacher who is gone during the day, and my wife works from home. If I'm at your house, I will leave to go teach for the day, but at our house, my wife can provide potty breaks or play time during the day. Weekends are flexible. I often dog-sit for our neighbors when they are out of town, and I give the dogs lots of love, pets, and play time. I feed them on their parents' schedules with appropriate food and medicine. For the senior dog, I lift him to be able ot go outside and potty. Whenever I'm caring for my dogs or others, I follow the instructions for those pets and give them lots of love and attention.

Your pup's health is my top priority. The first day can be especially stressful, I mitigate that by taking 2 long walks the first day and I provide mental stimulation through play. A tired pup is a good pup. Daily Care Schedule 8:00-9:00 wake up, potty break, food, and freshwater. 11:00-2:00 Daily 30 min walk (Anytime between these times) Playtime about two hours after the daily walk and throughout the day. This includes fetching, tug, puzzle toys, and frozen kongs. 5:30 Food, Fresh Water, Potty Break *ITEMS TO BRING* Pets bed, leash, harness/collar, food and a worn clothing item of yours. ***Please note*** Dog boarding rates are for 24hrs.
