“Isaiah did a great job checking in on my two cats over a long weekend! He was very communicative, reliable, and my cats seemed to warm up to him quickly! I will definitely plan to use Isaiah again in the future.”

About: I strive to provide a welcoming, enriching home away from home for your dog. To ensure the best care possible, I only accept up to 2 dogs at a time. You can expect regular updates throughout your pup’s stay. Safety is a top priority. I check my yard regularly for potential hazards and do paw checks for foxtails after every walk. I have a large fenced yard with plenty of space for zoomies. Dogs can explore the garden, sunbathe on the grass, or lounge under the shaded pergola. Pets are welcome on the couch, and I also have extra dog beds and an indoor dog house for pups who prefer a little more personal space. My experience: I have a 6yo maltipoo named Chewy and 14yo shihtzu named Joey. They are very respectful of other dogs’ personal space. I trained Chewy using positive reinforcement and taught him many tricks and commands. I have been caring for dogs of all sizes and ages since I was 15. My senior dog experience includes fostering one who was adopted into her forever home and providing long-term care for two others. I’m very comfortable administering medication, preparing special diets, and grooming. Rover is a side hobby, and I ask for a little advance notice so I can prepare for my doggie guest. I follow the schedule provided by the paw-parents. If none is given then it’s usually a morning potty break, breakfast, walk, mid day potty break, dinner, and potty before bedtime. Playtime is sprinkled throughout the day or I may incorporate it with their meal time like food in a puzzle toy. I tailor care to each dog’s needs. Every day includes physical exercise or mental stimulation such as daily walks, fetch, tug-of-war, command training, puzzle toys. Let me know how your preferences during the Meet & Greet so I can match your dog’s routine.
“Stefanie is the best. She takes great care of my rambunctious 2 frenchies and they adore her. She's very conscientious and prompt and I know my pups are getting attention and being well cared for.”

About: Previously owned and trained our family dog until his passing some years ago. I have birds, fish, and have been caring for family friends' dogs. I am currently willing to help, care, and walk your dogs. A great way to fill in the time as I stay home, go to school, and improve life as to looking forward to care for your dog. My dog was fed a mix of wet and dry food, water bowl always full, and daily drive/park/play/walks/hikes (regarding the weather at the current moment of time).
About: I offer calm, personalized care in a quiet home where your dog is treated like family, not one of many in a busy boarding facility or a home with multiple dogs. I typically host one household at a time, so your dog gets my full attention, genuine affection, and all the cuddles they can handle. My home is the right fit for friendly dogs who love companionship, walks, and settling into a peaceful routine. I'm especially drawn to dogs who thrive with one-on-one attention rather than the noise and energy of a busy multi-dog environment. I'm certified in Pet CPR, Healing Touch for Animals, and Reiki. And beyond the credentials, I'm deeply attuned to each dog's personality and energy. That attunement is what helps them settle in quickly and feel genuinely at ease. My connection to animals runs deep. I spent five years volunteering at Lindsay Wildlife Rehabilitation Center, working in both the mammal department and wildlife hospital with injured and recovering animals. That experience sharpened my understanding of animal behavior and reinforced something I already believed: animals feel safety before they understand it. My goal is always to create that feeling from the moment your dog arrives! Because I work from home, pets in my care are rarely left alone for long periods and receive plenty of attention, walks, and companionship throughout the day. When pets stay in my home, they become part of a calm and comfortable daily routine. I primarily host dogs from 1 household at a time so each pet receives plenty of individual attention. Dogs here enjoy daily walks, playtime, and relaxed downtime, and I’m home much of the day since I work from home. I pay close attention to each pet’s personality and needs so they feel safe and settled. For drop-in visits or walks in a client’s home, I follow the pet’s normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding, fresh water, walks, litter care for cats, playtime, and companionship. I’m happy to send photo updates so owners know their pets are doing well.
About: I have loved animals since I first learned what an animal was and 27 years into life I haven't stopped! I have 7+ years of dog/cat/house sitting experience and I can administer medications if needed, along with taking care of other typical pet sitting tasks such as feeding, walking, playing, bathing, and of course, offering lots of affection and pets! Currently I’m in school (mostly online) for pre vet-med and working just as a pet sitter so I have plenty of free time to watch over your fur babies! :) I am always willing to personalize my services to best conform to your pets' medical, physical, and emotional well-being, just let me know what specific needs your pet(s) have and I will cater to them!
“Taylor is most excellent! She knew and provided just what Gracie and I needed, and more! I believe I hit the jackpot when I found Taylor! So kind, sweet, understanding and helpful!”

“Christopher was great! He was super communicative throughout the entire stay, and I felt like our cats were in good hands. I would definitely have him watch our cats again in the future.”

“Nancy was absolutely amazing, kind, and timely. We were stressing about having to leave our new puppy with a stranger for the day but Nancy's overall demeanor even before we booked her made us realize Baxter would be in great hands. Highly recommend!”

About: I bring more than 20 years of professional experience in veterinary medicine and animal welfare, caring for pets and supporting the people who love them. My background includes veterinary hospital leadership and many years with the San Francisco SPCA, and I'm also Fear Free Certified. I have extensive experience with pets of all ages, personalities, and needs, including puppies, seniors, anxious or fearful pets, multi-pet households, medication routines, and pets who may need a little extra patience and attention. My Fear Free training helps me recognize signs of fear, anxiety, and stress and adjust my approach so each pet can feel as safe and comfortable as possible. My veterinary background also means I pay attention to the little things. I'm accustomed to noticing changes in behavior, appetite, mobility, energy, or overall wellbeing and communicating concerns promptly. Most importantly, I know how much trust it takes to leave your pet in someone else's care. I'll treat your pets like they're my own, follow their routines closely, and make sure you get plenty of updates and photos while you're away. My schedule is currently very flexible, which gives me plenty of availability for walks, drop-in visits, and pet sitting throughout the week. I'm available weekdays and weekends and can accommodate morning, daytime, and evening visits. I also understand how important consistency is for pets, so I'll do my best to keep their normal feeding, walking, medication, and bedtime routines intact while you're away. With more than 20 years of experience in veterinary medicine and animal welfare and Fear Free certification, I'm very comfortable caring for pets with different personalities, behaviors, ages, and needs. When caring for pets in your home, I'll follow your instructions closely and treat your home with the same care and respect I'd want someone to show mine. I'll double-check doors, gates, leashes, and other safety details, keep your pet's environment clean, and provide detailed updates and photos so you always know how things are going. I know you're trusting me with two things that matter enormously—your pet and your home—and I don't take either responsibility lightly.
About: I'm excited to meet new pets and their people! While I'm new to Rover, I'm not new to caring for animals. I have over 20 years of professional experience caring for pets and homes, along with a lifetime of loving animals of my own. Animals have been part of my life since childhood. I've cared for dogs of every size, age, and personality, as well as cats, birds, and other small animals. Most recently, I spent four years living in Hawaii with my own dog, cat, and bird, and have cared for pets throughout the Bay Area, including Marin, San Francisco, Oakland, Contra Costa, and Napa. I'm an outdoor enthusiast who loves mountain biking, hiking, camping, and exploring nature. If your dog enjoys adventure and you're comfortable with it, I'm happy to include longer walks or outdoor adventures tailored to their energy level. I enjoy keeping active dogs both physically and mentally engaged, while always respecting each pet's individual needs and routine. During COVID, while my massage therapy practice was on pause, I got a certification in canine massage, deepening my understanding of canine anatomy, mobility, and comfort. This experience has been especially valuable when caring for senior dogs, anxious pets, and those who benefit from right amount of exercise and a calm, gentle touch. Every pet is different, and I take pride in carefully following your instructions so they feel safe, loved, and at home while you're away. My goal is to give you complete peace of mind, knowing your beloved companion is receiving attentive, experienced care. I've always believed animals are some of life's greatest gifts. To me, they are like guardian angels on Earth. They teach us unconditional love, presence, and joy. It's a privilege to earn their trust and care for them as if they were my own. Pet care fits naturally into my daily life. I currently work part-time with a flexible schedule, which allows me to plan my work around the pets I'm caring for whenever possible. I intentionally limit my commitments so I can provide each pet with the time, attention, exercise, and companionship they deserve. Whether your pet enjoys long walks, playtime, quiet companionship, or simply keeping their normal routine, I'm happy to adapt my schedule to meet their needs. I understand that consistency helps pets feel safe and comfortable while you're away, and I strive to make their time with me feel as familiar and stress-free as possible. Clear communication is important to me, and I'll keep you updated with photos and messages so you can enjoy your time away knowing your pet is happy, loved, and well cared for. Every pet is unique, so I take the time to learn their routine, personality, and preferences before you leave. I carefully follow your instructions regarding feeding, medications, exercise, favorite walking routes, sleeping arrangements, and any special needs to help your pet feel safe and comfortable. Whether your companion enjoys long walks and outdoor adventures, playtime, enrichment activities, or simply relaxing on the couch, I tailor my care to what makes them happiest. I believe consistency and patience help pets feel secure while their family is away.
About: I have always had pets including fish, cats, dogs and a chinchilla. I have pet sit 4 dogs at a time and house sat for family and friends. “Tamiko was wonderful this past wknd with my 2 furry guys!! She did 2 drop-in visits on both days and was great communicating with me about my two young cats, checking in and out, sending pics, playing with especially my youngest, etc. I am glad I found Tamiko, as she also lives very close by -- super convenient!! Thank you Tamiko 😻”

About: We have a busy, loving home with 3 kids, one cat, & two dogs. If your dog loves to be with a busy family, we're the right place for you. I have many years of pet care experience including veterinary care and dog training experience (specifically, I've trained my own dogs through the Petsmart dog training program and passed the Canine Good Citizen test). I'm very comfortable around all types of dogs and animals. I've always treated my pets as part of our family and would always treat any animal in my care with the same devotion. We have three kids (ages 14-16) and they are all used to animals and they are very caring and love to play with all the dogs when they come home from school. The cats can easily avoid the dogs if they want to as they have their own outdoor catio and room. We keep our air conditioner on for our dog already during hot days so any dogs with thick fur will feel very comfortable. There's no carpet in our house so potty issues are easier to manage as well. I work from home, so other than errands or short outings the dogs have someone home with them nearly all the time. We have a gated kitchen so dogs can be separated if needed. We have a large fenced yard with a covered patio and when it’s too hot to be outside, the dogs are in the air conditioned house with us.

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Vine Hill
Saylor did an excellent job taking care of my kitties. She even earned the trust of the extremely timid one, which is a feat that no other sitter and many friends had failed to do previously. She was attentive throughout her stay with them, and it was clear to me that they felt cared for when I finally got home.

We’ve used Caitlin a few times over the past couple years for our 3 cats. She follows instruction great, takes good care of our cats (even giving medicine to one cat and searching the house to find our hiding cats when they don’t come out). She was also very flexible when we had our baby and needed to move dates and times around a lot last minute. She’s always quick to reply as well. Will use her and again and would recommend!

Jessica took great care of our two cats for 6 days, sending us updates on how they were doing each day. Both cats were happy and chill when we got home from our trip. She also watered the plants, swept the floor and let us know if we got any packages. We highly recommend Jessica!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
