We were understandably nervous about leaving Wizzy with an unfamiliar family for an extended 17-day stay, especially since it was her first time being boarded. Kushram immediately put us at ease by inviting us to a meet-and-greet before the boarding began. We had the pleasure of meeting his family, visiting their lovely home, and seeing the environment where Wizzy would be staying. This experience helped us build trust right from the start. Throughout our 17-day vacation, Kushram consistently sent videos and photos, along with thoughtful updates on Wizzy’s health and well-being. “Our Luna girl stayed with Adam and Julie for over a week and this was herfirst stay with them. We did do a meet and greet a couple months before the actual stay so we had an idea if Luna liked Adam and Julie. Luna is normally a fairly reactive young puppy like adolescent with frequent barking and lungeing at people and dogs that distress her which can be many people and dogs. We went to their home for the meet and greet and Luna was fairly comfortable with Adam and Julie right off the bat. That was definitely a good sign. Two months later and Luna now 2 months older and more mellow has her stay with Adam and Julie. We picked Luna up after our trip and she was happy, playful, and reacted like she had a good stay. Julie and Adam gave us a full report and it seems everything went well. We got a daily picture of Luna sent via text which made us very happy to connect with her. Thanks to Adam and Julie for taking good care of our girl while we were on vacation.”

“I'm so happy to have found Jeanette and her family. My dog is rambunctious to say the least, and at 70lbs, he can be quite a lot to handle. I wanted to do a trial run with Jeanette before booking her for my 2+ week trip coming up. This was mainly to make sure they could see what they were getting into! And to my sheer embarrassment, I showed up with my dog on the wrong day... but they were so sweet and understanding and let him stay for the day. When he stayed the night, he marked some spots in their house (like her bed ughhhhh) but they handled it by putting a belly wrap on him. It was a wonderful feeling to pick up Buddy as I could tell he was well taken care of and had lots of fun with his friends, and Jeanette let me know how it went in detail. She was honest about everything, which I really appreciated because I know my dog is wild and challenging, I rescued him off the street and while we've come a long way since then, he still has a lot to learn. So I wouldn't trust anyone who said "oh everything was just perfect, no issues whatsoever" lol. They are very good people, and I know Buddy will be in good hands on my long trip. It's my first time leaving him for this long, but I know that they will update me and reassure me that he's doing OK. I highly recommend them.”

About: I have worked at 2 dog facilities, The Meadows Canine Camp in Santa Rosa and I currently work at the Milo Foundation where I walk and adopt out dogs. I currently have a foster named Grayson (boxer) who is good with small dogs. I love animals and I am very qualified to take care of your pet while you are away. Cant wait to meet them! I work at the Milo Foundation in point Richmond Wednesday-Sunday. Your dog would need to be ok for 8hrs alone on those days or if they are small I can take them with me to work. Before and after work would be dedicated time spent with your pet and I am off on Mondays and Tuesdays. While walking, your pets safety is my number one priority and I will make sure to walk in areas deemed appropriate by clients. Having dogs of my own, I understand the importance on keeping them safe when out. I also like to use a harnesses when walking to avoid a dogs collar slipping and possibility of getting loose.

I’ve worked with many dogs in the past and was lucky enough to have dogs in my house growing up. I already have a set schedule with my dogs. We walk twice a day. They are fed after the first morning walk and fed after the second walk in the evening. And of course playtime all day. I put my dogs first they’re my priority. I have a nice big fenced yard that is very shaded. I live downtown, walking distance to the marina and dog park. I do allow dogs in my bed and on the furniture. “Kushram and Family are a wonderful find for dog sitting or doggy day care. Give the initial booking request a bit of lead time, as the confirmation that the day/time works may take up to a day to come through. This time I put in a request 9:30pm on a Saturday, and got confirmation Sunday evening. (I suspect requests are processed daily). The initial booking request was the largest gap we experienced in communication, scheduling the meet and greet by messages was easy - they were very responsive and want to ensure you and your pup will be comfortable with their set up and go over any special needs of the dog. Our elder pup Rick was drawn to Kushram and the whole family even on the meet and greet (I think just his wife and adult nephew), as well the drop off day of, and they were able to make him comfortable enough to eat even on a short visit. Given our short booking (only about 3 hrs) we can't really comment on long term pictures/communication during the visit, but I can say I feel pretty happy that I found some place local where I feel comfortable leaving my dog when I need to go somewhere. They also have some experience with some dog special needs, but can help best when they know about it ahead of time. They were not concerned or put off in the slightest by our pups needs (mostly that he's pretty clingy, can get cold easily, and only has 3 teeth and will only eat small pieces of food, and doesn't love hanging out with other dogs), and described other dogs they had watched with similar or more challenging needs such as dog-sitting a blind dog in a new space. Thank you for taking good care of our pup!”

I would prefer to crate your dog for my out periods. I spent five years volunteering at Lindsay Wildlife Rehabilitation Center, working in both the mammal department and wildlife hospital with injured and recovering animals. My goal is always to create that feeling from the moment your dog arrives! Because I work from home, pets in my care are rarely left alone for long periods and receive plenty of attention, walks, and companionship throughout the day. For drop-in visits or walks in a client’s home, I follow the pet’s normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding, fresh water, walks, litter care for cats, playtime, and companionship. About: I have worked at 2 dog facilities, The Meadows Canine Camp in Santa Rosa and I currently work at the Milo Foundation where I walk and adopt out dogs. I currently have a foster named Grayson (boxer) who is good with small dogs. I love animals and I am very qualified to take care of your pet while you are away. Cant wait to meet them! I work at the Milo Foundation in point Richmond Wednesday-Sunday. Your dog would need to be ok for 8hrs alone on those days or if they are small I can take them with me to work. Before and after work would be dedicated time spent with your pet and I am off on Mondays and Tuesdays. While walking, your pets safety is my number one priority and I will make sure to walk in areas deemed appropriate by clients. Having dogs of my own, I understand the importance on keeping them safe when out. I also like to use a harnesses when walking to avoid a dogs collar slipping and possibility of getting loose.

“Our Luna girl stayed with Adam and Julie for over a week and this was herfirst stay with them. We did do a meet and greet a couple months before the actual stay so we had an idea if Luna liked Adam and Julie. Luna is normally a fairly reactive young puppy like adolescent with frequent barking and lungeing at people and dogs that distress her which can be many people and dogs. We went to their home for the meet and greet and Luna was fairly comfortable with Adam and Julie right off the bat. That was definitely a good sign. Two months later and Luna now 2 months older and more mellow has her stay with Adam and Julie. We picked Luna up after our trip and she was happy, playful, and reacted like she had a good stay. Julie and Adam gave us a full report and it seems everything went well. We got a daily picture of Luna sent via text which made us very happy to connect with her. Thanks to Adam and Julie for taking good care of our girl while we were on vacation.”

“I'm so happy to have found Jeanette and her family. My dog is rambunctious to say the least, and at 70lbs, he can be quite a lot to handle. I wanted to do a trial run with Jeanette before booking her for my 2+ week trip coming up. This was mainly to make sure they could see what they were getting into! And to my sheer embarrassment, I showed up with my dog on the wrong day... but they were so sweet and understanding and let him stay for the day. When he stayed the night, he marked some spots in their house (like her bed ughhhhh) but they handled it by putting a belly wrap on him. It was a wonderful feeling to pick up Buddy as I could tell he was well taken care of and had lots of fun with his friends, and Jeanette let me know how it went in detail. She was honest about everything, which I really appreciated because I know my dog is wild and challenging, I rescued him off the street and while we've come a long way since then, he still has a lot to learn. So I wouldn't trust anyone who said "oh everything was just perfect, no issues whatsoever" lol. They are very good people, and I know Buddy will be in good hands on my long trip. It's my first time leaving him for this long, but I know that they will update me and reassure me that he's doing OK. I highly recommend them.”

Allison was kind, welcoming, and incredibly responsive to all of my questions and concerns both before our trip and while we were away. She was also very flexible and accommodating with pick-up and drop-off times. Her setup is amazing—she has a fully fenced front yard, a fully fenced backyard, and indoor space, which gave Camila plenty of options to play with other dogs or relax on her own. Receiving regular pictures and videos of Camila was such a comfort and made our trip even more enjoyable. Knowing Allison was taking such great care of Camila gave me complete peace of mind.”
